This was one of the most beautiful parks I've visited! My husband and I took a romantic stroll by the pond, where we witnessed adorable goslings with their mamas and ducks gracefully swimming in the water! Next we picked out a book for our eldest from the Little Library located next to one of the playgrounds! Finally we swung our baby on the swing at one of their playgrounds! What a neat regional neighborhood park in Auburn! A hidden gem in the suburbs. I find out about this by happenstance. I recently went to Taco Tree (TT) and ordered through the drive thru. I needed a shady safe place to eat my tacos pronto. The TT parking lot didn't have any open shady spaces. So I drove down the street (Dry Creek Road) a bit and found this park. What a gem! The park has big beautiful shade trees and well taken care of green lawns. After devouring my tacos under one of those beautiful shade trees along Richardson Drive, I took a walk around the paved walking trail. The park had a good share of visitors enjoying the outdoors on a Saturday afternoon. It was not crowded and all the visitors I encountered on the trail were wearing masks (even the joggers) and keeping a socially responsible distance. Visitors included disc golfers, families, pickle ball players, tennis players, joggers... even some transients. I noticed several solo transients; they were keeping to themselves. I encountered no issues. The park is bordered by 3 streets, Dry Creek Road, Richardson Drive, and Park Drive. Off Dry Creek Road is a small parking lot next to a children's play area and a paved walking trail that wraps around the park. This is a cute little park that's great for a short walk. There's a pond with many many geese and ducks. There are playgrounds and it's also good for riding your bike. The bathrooms are pretty clean and parking is pretty easy on either side of the park. read more

Great park with a stupid name. Love this place...there is a mini-lake, terrific playground for this kids, lots of grass, several baseball and volleyball fields and all smack in the hood so the local flavor still retained. People are respectful there and that's hella cool. Most hoodie parks are so ratcheted out that they aren't parks anymore. This one keeps it real. But that name gotta go. I think it should be called Blades Park in honor of the hardest working chick in the hood who has a giant heart and a cute AF dog. Oh, yeah, and her kids have turned out to be awesome people despite their ain't ever around with money or time daddies. Just an opinion. If I had a weave she'd prolly have snatched it by now so let's just say this was a group decision thanks. read more

I was driving travelling through the area and decided to find a playground for the kids. This park is huge. It has a playground and a ton of picnic tables, trails, tennis courts and a bunch more stuff, I'm sure. The playground was simple and kind of small and I didn't see a bathroom in the area. I would've loved to have time to explore the trails here! read more

One of the best 18 hole disc golf courses in the NorCal region. Park is always maintained and lawns mowed. Lot of walking trails through the park with a giant pond filled with duck ISH. That's the only disgusting part of the park is near the pond. Otherwise the tennis courts and playground area of the park are clean (besides the transients living near the playground sleeping on the grass). Come to think of it, this park does have its issues but the DG course is the main reason people frequent the park. read more

We came here solely for disc golf! I had only played here once before five years ago; so it was all new again to me. We ran into a real nice fellow player that gave us some tips on the slightly strange set-up of this 18 hole course. I will warn you now that this is not the course for a total beginner, there are trees in the way, rules (if you choose to follow them) about which direction to throw around trees, a large pond at the end, and also a creek that runs throughout the park. I am an intermediate player that still has a lot to learn, but enjoyed this place. On a Friday after some light rain the day before this place was really quiet and not real muddy at all. The beginning of each hole is marked, however the actual holes can move; the possible locations are clearly marked on the signage and it seems like in general the course is well-cared for. I like this course, however a few of the holes are REAL long and wide-open and I just don't throw that far.. and others are scary "Oh no, if I legit play this hole I'm going to say buh-bye to this disc...", so I found myself short-throwing sometimes which isn't always fun. This location is far away from home from me, but a nice change of pace. read more

I love this park, it has a pond that attracts water foul, 2 playgrounds, a basketball court, poop bags for dogs, a grilling area where I see people celebrate birthdays there and disc golf. There are lots of water foul by the lake which has a path around it that the city regularly keeps clean making it a scenic place to jog. What I don't like about it is the sketchy people that often fight and yell at each other and leave cigarette butts everywhere. read more

A very cool place to relax...we went for music in the park. They do this every year and they have food and other vendors as well. Bring your chairs, bring your dog and enjoy the music. read more

I come to Regional Park every Monday and Wednesday for my outdoor bootcamp class. Thankfully, for me, the class is held more towards the front of the park near the main building. The area where our bootcamp class is held is actually really nice: shady area, lots of trees, and right near the parking lot. I have to say, I am thrilled that the class is held where it is because I don't think i'd be a very happy bootcamper if it were held toward the middle/far end of the park. I say this for a few reasons: One - there are geese... no, not like 9 or 10, more like HUNDREDS. They are everywhere and on every walking path. If you are like me, and may or may not have had a traumatic experience in your childhood with geese, this is not the place for you. I attempted to go on a nice, leisurely run prior to class starting a few weeks back and was quickly halted by a massive parade of geese. To top off the fact that geese are just angry animals, they have massacred the walkways with their fecal matter. Just in case you do take a stroll on one of the walkways at Regional Park, I would highly recommend removing your shoes prior to entering your home... that's if you don't want bird doo on your carpet. The next thing about Regional Park that I am not overly fond of, and I am saying this politely, are some individuals that frequent this park. Primarily due to the fact that the park backs up to some run-down-ish condos and apartments, some of the people that I have seen roaming around are rough looking units. Not to mention that they loiter around common areas while smoking cigarettes/pot or drinking liquor out of a brown paper bag. However, if you're there to go on a jog, I promise that your pace will speed up when nearing certain gathering locations at this park. read more
