Decided to check out a different Chinese restaurant. It is tucked away in a strip mall. It is pretty much set up for takeout only. There are only three or so tables and they are all pushed against the side wall. They have the kitchen blocked off with plexiglass. There is a slot for putting cash or credit card. Then there is a pass through window for putting your order in when it is finished. Everything is no contact transaction. The space itself is pretty outdated and nothing special. I didn't see any menus available, so I just ordered Kung Pao chicken from the picture menu overhead. My meal was above average and had a decent level of spiciness. Chicken was decent portion sized.

DISGUSTING. Found a maggot in my lo mein. Absolutely and incredibly nasty. Save yourself and don't eat here. Go to culvers across the street, maybe even chili's, but this is unacceptable.

Absolutely no complaints, everything we ordered was very good! One of the best all around Chinese takeouts I have had!

A really nice neighborhood Chinese restaurant near Miller Park. We happened upon this place coming back from a trip, tired and hungry. One thing I really appreciated, is that they offer a combo meal with an eggroll and rice, even at dinner time. They also have a very substantial menu. I had the Kung Pao chicken combo. She had the shrimp and snow peas combo. And, out of curiosity, we tried the vegetarian eggrolls too. I really liked the pork eggrolls that came with the meal. It's often hard to find good role eggrolls these days. They are usually too greasy. But these were not. The vegetarian eggrolls were OK, but nothing special. The Kung Pow chicken was very different from other Chinese restaurants in that the chicken pieces were fried. Also, it did not have a lot of hot peppers. It was quite good though. Who doesn't like fried chicken! The shrimp and snow peas dish was a little bit bland, but the shrimp were very good. Often times the quality of shrimp at Chinese restaurants is not too good. But these were really good quality shrimp. The people that run it are a very nice family and the prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to come back...

If Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris had a Szechuan throwdown of the most epic culinary proportions the end result would be Cheng Wong. I'd never heard of this place until last night when I was sifting through what seemed like endless bad Milwaukee Chinese food reviews online. I have grown accustomed to accept bad Chinese food in this city as the upper Midwest isn't particularly well know for it's Chinese cuisine. Hallelujah for Cheng Wong!! Hands down the best Chinese I've had in Milwaukee! Lightning fast service and maybe the most polite cook I've ever met at a Chinese restaurant. They should change their name to "Fresh Fast Now Chinese" as it was ready in barely 10 minutes and man they do not skimp on the food. Phenomenal egg rolls, best sesame chicken I've ever had and amazing Chow Mei Fun!! They'll even special order things to your specific taste. Only negative I can say is that there's no delivery however this place is worth the drive. This is probably a plus as I'd be 300lbs if they did deliver.

    Crab Rangoons are great!

Plenty of space for parking in the back. Dark, smoky atmosphere with Asian interior designs. Perfect ambiance for BBQ! We had both Korean BBQ & hot pot, absolutely worth the price for both. The BBQ was by far everyone's favorite. We recommend the beef bulgogi, beef short ribs, and pork belly--these were the best for BBQ. Since it was all you can eat, we had a few servings of them. There was also a counter for different types of sauce one could get and a dessert section. The hot pot was great as well. We recommend the bone broth and the fish/shrimp/meatballs with it as well as udon noodles. The service was great overall. Our server was busy, but she managed to be attentive with us. We left with our belly full. We will absolutely come back.

We ordered the bulgogi, steak cubes, pork belly, spicy pork belly, beef tongue, rib meat, shrimp, creamy corn, fried buns, and a few other smaller items. The meat was all good quality! Our tables' favorite meat was the bulgogi for sure. We also loved the creamy corn and fried buns. However, beef tongue was so tough though I couldn't even bite into it (but honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy it!). The sauce bar was a fun touch to get exactly what we each liked. It was a little tricky being in a booth and getting people out to make their sauce combos though but we made it work. There is also a dessert bar but nothing was super intriguing to us and we were pretty full from the meal. The only downside was the service. Other servers seemed awesome but our waitress was totally aloof. She missed multiple orders of ours and we had to reorder those, and she acted super confused each time we had to tell her. She didn't give any direction on the process, and each time we wanted to add to the order we had to wave her down. I don't think she proactively checked on us once. A table nearby had the hotpot and that looked really good. We were intrigued and want to come back and try it. All in all, a great experience, and $31 per person for the amount of food you can rack up felt like a really good deal.

The staff is always very nice and if they are busy for some reason, they even have kiosks to order from as well. I'm Korean and love me some Korean fried chicken wings, but going here means I do not have to make them, make a mess in my kitchen, or have to spend time prepping everything beforehand. Yes, I know these are Karaage but they are very similar. I usually get the boneless wings just because I am weird and do not like having sticky fingers when I am eating, so these I can eat with a fork. The crispiness is always spot-on and I love that they give you just enough sauce to give everything a good coat and flavor but not too much that the chicken is drowning. I also really love the rice cakes that they add into the tenders and wings, it's like a nice little chewy treat to go with everything. Their fries are a LOT of fries! My wife and I have learned we can share one order of them. They have a bunch of varieties of seasonings you can add to the fries but I tend to get mine plain and just eat it with ketchup. We popped in for a late lunch after craving something new. I had Laojiu in my bookmarks and it was on the way to where we were headed later, so perfect! It's not a huge restaurant, but there's several large tables and it's such a cozy space. Definitely unexpected from a strip mall. There a lot to park in and it's easy to find- right o. The NE corner of Oklahoma and Hwy 100. Since it was fairly late, about 2:30 or so, there was no wait and the restaurant was not crowded. We placed our order at the front and then sat ourselves. The wait wasn't long at all, maybe 10 minutes before our dishes were brought out to us. If it was longer, I certainly didn't notice. The seats were comfortable and we were enjoying our Jasmine green tea and conversation. My husband had the spicy heather rice noodles. The flavors were there, albeit on the salty side. His chief complaint was that the items within the dish kept separating out. Likely due to the oils. Every bite was either noodles or one of the mixed in ingredients. My dish, on the other hand, was easy to get everything in one bite. Even with chopsticks. The stir fried udon was not crispy, which I was curious about. It was still toothy and delicious with the mixed vegetables and chicken. The sauce was neither overpowering nor too abundant. Everything was coated but not drowning, if that makes sense. I'm a huge fan of udon noodles and this dish was simply comforting. The menu itself is not overwhelming but there are plenty of items to choose from. I'm definitely going back and I will try not to get the same thing, but I make no promises! Price point is moderate but worth it for the amount of food. Roughly $30 for two drinks and two entrees.
