We used a coupon for $20 extra in credits, we purchased another $50 on top of that to start off to see how we liked it. During our visit there was a few birthday parties going on, kids screaming and running around. Most of the games we played seemed to be sticky or greasy on the controls. Unfortunately, several games that we wanted to play (power roll, coin pushers) were either broken or jammed. Also, each play was pretty expensive compared to other arcades we've played at. The only staff I saw was at their respective counters, none were seen walking the floor checking on things, or cleaning. The tickets we did win, there was nothing much in their prize area we wanted (too many junky toys and candy), so we gave the credits to a nearby kid. We enjoy seeing an arcade prize area tailored towards kids and adults. Unless they change it up, I highly doubt we will be back.

Unfortunately, all three days that we brought our groups this year (2024) staff were irritated with us from the start, short and snappy with the kids and our staff, and all around unwelcoming. The kids were following all the rules too, being respectful of other parties and bowlers, and not misbehaving. I (as an adult) even got the brush-off when asking for help from the front desk. And before anyone says "maybe they were frustrated with an unannounced, large group". I called the week before (which is what Lilac Lanes requested of us) and let them know the size of each group on each day and our time of arrival. Nobody is perfect, and yes, all people have off days. But a smile and some patience can go a long way in making the kids'

Im not sure why he was the only bartender on a Saturday during an event... after the first hour of waiting for bowling we asked about, they said 5 more minutes. After waiting an hour amd forty minutes they come find us, tell us our buzzer is dead... half the lanes were empty at this point too... finally we are allowed to order food.... my friend and i order our kids food at the same time. My kids food game 6 rounds before the other kids. Do you know how upset the kids got? Especially after waiting that long to begin with? We went through our whole game withoit receiving our adult food AND drinks. Should have just went to the grumpy bartender at least for the drinks. Then i had to wait awhile to get refunded when it was over cause why would i want it then? During our time there the same tables with half empty alcohol containers were all over the arcade tables, with kids around I was concerned for those to be left at hands reach for over 5 hours. The manager who refunded me barely apologized and blamed it for being an event night. Im confused why an EVENT CENTER wouldnt be prepared for an event... Decent Servicable Bowling Alley - Weekends Mainly…read more SITREP A bowling alley actually does sit amidst the small logging community of St. Maries. SETUP It's got several lanes, so you can host a good size group here. Since we checked on a family union possibility, there is an opportunity to rent the venue out for a private event during the week as well if you make the arrangements in advance. BAR Not only is this the only bowling alley for miles around, at times it is the only decent bar as well. I had my first "Mind-Eraser" here which is a special concoction that the bartendress proudly makes here. My uncle and cousin just stuck to their Coors lights. HOURS What sucks about this venue - and to be fair, it's more of an issue of being in a very small town community - is that the codes and hours allowed for venues with respect to noise ordinances and regulations make this venue shut down at 8pm during the week - which it is not even open most week days. If you really want to enjoy yourselves at this venue, then it really is open late on Friday and Saturday. But come on, let's get real for a moment: are you really going to spend your hard-earned Friday and/or Saturday night off here in St. Maries? Hell-to-the-"No." I'm going to Coeur d'Alene, Spokane or even Seattle or Boise if I get the chance to road trip. THE LOWDOWN A good little bowling alley with limited hours.
