our family was looking for something to do to keep the kids out of the heat for a little while and found Cheney Lanes on Groupon. We called and they were nice and very accommodating. Everyone we interacted with was helpful and nice. They take a lot of pride and care, you could tell. We got there for a 1pm reservation and got there about 15 minutes early so we could get everyone shoes figured out and food ordered. Rosa's Pizza is inside the alley. We got 2 large pizzas and everyone must've been big fans because there was not even as much as a leftover piece of pepperoni. It was hot and delicious! The bowling screens were new with easy, user friendly prompts and there were several types of games you can choose from. It wasn't a hassle to change the bumpers on and off either. You also get to choose a theme for your bid display bowling screen. We picked disco and ocean, the kids thought that was pretty cool. We used a ramp since we had a kiddo under 5 with us. It's also appreciated that they had 6 pound balls; sometimes we've been to "family friendly" places and they don't have the lighter weight balls because they jam up the pin gatherer or the gutters. Even with varying weights of balls being used on our lane for different ages, we didn't have any issues with the balls getting stuck, or didn't have to call at all for assistance resetting pins. The big display has a countdown on it for the amount of time you paid for and automatically shuts off the lane when you're done. We got done just a big birthday party was coming in and the staff turned all the lanes over very quickly. Will definitely be back again for more fun in the future. Side note: I forgot we had visited Cheney Lanes before in 2020 but it had all been updated and refreshed I didn't recognize it. They did a really good job in there. read more

I witnessed "Anthony" ? being extremely rude and aggressive to a customer over opening a door! I caught the last end of it.. The person he was aggressively rude to had to be 17 or 18. We should encourage our young adults to go bowling and not roaming the streets. You guys need to set a better example for your community. Be kind and set an example to our youth. I think you guys would benefit greatly on a training your employees on how to treat your consumers and be more friendly and welcoming to everyone! read more

This is a small bowling alley, not a ton of lanes and it can feel slightly cramped. But the game is good and they actually have food with a real, separately functioning pizza restaurant run out of the same space. Good place for small parties too, seen a few kids' birthday parties and such here and as long as you don't have a huge group it seems to work pretty well. Most bowling alleys are pretty sad these days but I think this one is better than others in the area read more

It's a family bowling alley, what's there not to love? We took our family of four to Cheney Lanes which also houses Rosa's pizza. Upon walking in you are greeted with the typical bowling alley feel that would make The Dude happy. Crazy carpet, claw machines and pizza. Pizza is family friendly, tons of toppings to choose from. It is definitely a family bowling alley, but it was disappointing. We were going to go to Hugo's but found these guys on Groupon and decided to give them a try. First they gave us a reservation and when we arrived it took forever to get the reserved lanes as well. We ordered pizza and got our shoes and the staff was pretty friendly. It was just a dusty experience as we are so used to Hugo's and the lights and good music and even better food. The pizza was ok, that's about it. Cody has been verbally inappropriate with my kids on several occasions. One time my kids tells him the machine is just running water and not soda, his angrily response to them is "give it some f*cking time". Today he referred my minor daughter as a slut. Of course I am really upset and tried to complain. Their response towards me as if I am the one creating the problem. Unacceptable. I am furious. If I can give less stars I would. read more

I never seen lanes this bad. My ball turned black after a couple of shots. The lane I was on was super dry and I asked the lane mechanic if he could put some oil on the lane since he was already putting oil on the other lanes for league and he refused. 20 years I've worked in customer service and I have never seen anything like this. If you bowl, be sure not to bring your own bowling balls to this place. Really disappointed on the level of customer service from this establishment and will never return here again. read more

This place is so cute and intimate! I was visiting from Santa Monica and came with a group of friends and we had so much fun. GET THE CHEESE BREAD IT IS TO DIE FOR. Extremely good prices and the man who was heading the alley, Tyler was extremely attentive and a fantastic worker. He was patient with us after our many changes because of our big group. We decided to take a trip to explore Cheney since I've never been to the city and we stopped in for some bowling at Cheney Lanes. From the outside its inconspicuous the only sign on the building itself near the entrance is a Rosa's Pizza so we weren't sure we were entering the right place but it was indeed the entrance. The bowling alley is very tiny only 8 lanes, the interior is small and a little dated. I get that it's a small town but there was a kids party going on when we were there and they took up like three lanes and a couple back tables and the amount of kids running around like mad little monsters was out of control and the staff should have done a better job at asking the parents to keep them in line. They ran around and bumped into my kids several times, they knocked garbage cans over, spilling trash all over and knocked some lady's cell onto the floor. Many were customers were irritated by the out of control kids and yes it's not the staffs fault, necessarily but they should have done something to ask them to settle down or speak to the parents. When it's full it's hard to navigate around people as the space is tight. On the plus side the staff was friendly, the pizza from Rosas was decent nothing great. Prices for bowling are decent, however next time I will stick to bowling in Spokane. read more

Compared to any other bowling alley out there, this one is old and out dated. Music is quiet, shoes dont glide like they should, but decent customer service. If this is all cheney has then that's cool. Rosa's pizza was good but we just waited 40 minutes for the worst boneless wings i've ever shoved in my mouth!!! read more

I've loved these lanes since I was a teenager in the 90's. It's just a fun family experience. It does need remodeling because everything is warn out. The real problem the young gal that operates the lanes. She often rude and you nearly have to beg her to take your money. Customer service lessons are needed. read more
