Unfortunately, several games that we wanted to play (power roll, coin pushers) were either broken or jammed. Also, each play was pretty expensive compared to other arcades we've played at. The only staff I saw was at their respective counters, none were seen walking the floor checking on things, or cleaning. The tickets we did win, there was nothing much in their prize area we wanted (too many junky toys and candy), so we gave the credits to a nearby kid. We got there for a 1pm reservation and got there about 15 minutes early so we could get everyone shoes figured out and food ordered. Rosa's Pizza is inside the alley. We got 2 large pizzas and everyone must've been big fans because there was not even as much as a leftover piece of pepperoni. It was hot and delicious! The bowling screens were new with easy, user friendly prompts and there were several types of games you can choose from. It wasn't a hassle to change the bumpers on and off either. You also get to choose a theme for your bid display bowling screen. We picked disco and ocean, the kids thought that was pretty cool. We used a ramp since we had a kiddo under 5 with us. It's also appreciated that they had 6 pound balls; sometimes we've been to "family friendly" places and they don't have the lighter weight balls because they jam up the pin gatherer or the gutters. Even with varying weights of balls being used on our lane for different ages, we didn't have any issues with the balls getting stuck, or didn't have to call at all for assistance resetting pins. The big display has a countdown on it for the amount of time you paid for and automatically shuts off the lane when you're done. We got done just a big birthday party was coming in and the staff turned all the lanes over very quickly. Will definitely be back again for more fun in the future. The bowling nights were supposed to be social events but it was at times very difficult to hear the people we were trying to chat with (and I'm pretty sure my watch gave me at least one "it's too loud and that's bad for your ears" warning). I'd enjoy that volume way more if we were there to dance. I'm more comfortable in the restaurant so it's on our list of options when planning to go out for breakfast or dinner. They usually have some good beer options (menu available on untappd) and I've enjoyed their cocktails and mocktails. They do a good job with Bloody Mary garnishes. The downsides: - Take-out sometimes takes a super long time (even if you order online well in advance). - They recently took steak off their menu. We were bummed because it's one of the easiest things to get for my husband (food allergies) and on our most recent visit the whole reason we came was because a friend wanted steak (and eggs). - When you order fish & chips they normally ask which side you'd like and I usually pick coleslaw. This means I'm expecting fish & chips with coleslaw. What they deliver instead is fish & coleslaw. Sometimes I'm glad for the lighter meal but sometimes I really am craving some fries so it's annoying. I think I tried to talk to a waitress about it once but the conversation didn't go anywhere. I don't know if I'll order it a third time but I might be tempted to just because I'm curious to see what will arrive next time I ask for "fish & chips with coleslaw." Unfortunately, all three days that we brought our groups this year (2024) staff were irritated with us from the start, short and snappy with the kids and our staff, and all around unwelcoming. The kids were following all the rules too, being respectful of other parties and bowlers, and not misbehaving. I (as an adult) even got the brush-off when asking for help from the front desk. And before anyone says "maybe they were frustrated with an unannounced, large group". I called the week before (which is what Lilac Lanes requested of us) and let them know the size of each group on each day and our time of arrival. Nobody is perfect, and yes, all people have off days. But a smile and some patience can go a long way in making the kids'

The lights went out, the black lights came on and fun took over. I really like how the guys at the front desk were super friendly and interacted with the bowlers. On Saturday the lanes have neon pins and throughout the night if they called hour lane they added to the competitive nature offering $1.00 or $2.00 for a strike or hitting the various neon pins. Some people really upped their game and energy adding to the nights fun. On one of my turns I picked up a pretty hard spare and over the mic they gave me Lots of kudos which I admit made me feel pretty good for a totally amateur lol. We did decide to order food and the wings honestly were really Yummy ! It was like I made them at home. Nice and big super meaty and crispy batter. Wasn't that crazy about the fries but my son liked them and the staff again was really friendly and accommodating. Wings Fries and 1 drink was about $29.00 so yeah a little on the high side but it was good. The games were $15.00 and we played 2 rounds plus of your a first timer there sign up on email and get a &10.00 coupon so not a bad deal. They also have a small arcade and honestly we really had a nice time and even with a few short comings I would suggest this place to anyone in town or visiting. A few suggestions I would make would be it would be great if there was a little more wait staff to come by the lanes for food orders vs. having to leave your game to go wait for an order. Perhaps invest in a air filter system or something to freshen up the smell a bit, I realize once you are there it could be easy to get use to and not really notice.
