Unit 55 is a fantastic venue and has evolved so much since the very beginning. They also provide so many deals and discounts, that this Escape room is the most affordable in the area and is easily worth the finances. Customer Service The owners are absolute joys to get to know. They truly want to know about your experience in Escape Rooms. I moved away for college and they kept in contact. They also sometimes include certain team names in future rooms. They are highly relational, highly intentional, and are always willing to receive constructive criticism to make their location better. Immersion The scariness of their rooms are fantastic. In the rooms I have done I would give it a PG-13 level scary. There are great jump scares, and your heart is racing the entire time. The scene is set the second you enter a room because you get lead in with bags over your head. Makeup and Costuming is incredible and this business should pride themselves in the quality of actors. Rooms The rooms have gone from good to great. In the beginning 2015, the rooms were a little lackluster, but the last room I did was incredible, immersive and visually pleasing. Every 2 to 3 months they are creating a new room which is something not a lot escape rooms do. New Puzzles, new environments, and new creations constantly are bringing people through the doors. No idea why there are no reviews on this place yet! What's going on Yelpers?! This is by far the BEST escape room in the Spokane area. They recently moved to a new location so space is even bigger! The owners are super nice and come up with amazing ideas for each event. They are scary and challenging but thats part of the fun! We really wanted to like this, but it could have been so much better. We went to experience a "haunted, creepy" escape room. We had friends that have never been to one and thought with all the reviews this would be the "bomb" unfortunately it bombed. Here are the pros and cons. The pro (sorry only one pro), the guy working the front of the house was very nice. He was accommodating and personable. Now the cons, it was stated that they no longer did the hooding, with COVID (yeah, duh) but they must have started it up again, so that was a little unsettling. The room started off ok, but the lightening was horrible. I get you want the creepy dark vibe, but you can't solve a puzzle if you can't see it. Then the puzzles were few and far between, a few "big" ones but that was it. It really wasn't that scary, wearing the hood was the worst of it. There was just a lot of screaming and banging. A few good pop up scares but few and far between as well. Some of the ghoulies will give you hints, but they are so quiet you just can't hear what they say. Time should go by quickly but when you are so frustrated by the lack of engagement with ridiculously hard puzzles, it tends to crawl. There were two options of rooms to pick from, we did the Bloodlines, it seemed like the Nightmare on 55th might have been the better choice. read more
