Miguel the owner is an axe throwing champion! Which means you're learning techniques from a true master of the craft.

Where do I even start...? This is a MUST DO experience if you're visiting Spokane, and a repeat activity if you live there! During the pandemic I wanted to do an activity with my elderly mother and my 17 year old niece, during my visit to Spokane. None of us have thrown an axe before, but decided to give it a try. And we will be back! The space is clean, bright, cozy yet spacious, and Miguel the owner was there to greet us and teach us all there is to know about mastering the art of axe throwing! (Did you even know there are multiple techniques?!) The instruction consists of safety measures too, so no one accidentally gets impaled. There is more to it than meets the eye, and once you can consistently get the axe to hit the target repeatedly, you progress to a competitive game and win a prize! This was totally unexpected and super fun. If you want to move beyond axe throwing and mix it up a little (we did, why not try it all) you then move on to throwing stars, then to knives, and finally to machetes! Throwing knives is much harder than it looks in the movies, because there is less surface area for the blade to make precise contact with the target, Miguel explained. For me, it took a lot more practice to get some technique with the knives and I did not progress to the machete because we ran out of time and had to pick up my other niece from school. But that's okay, I'll definitely be back to refine my skills and try again! Periodically Miguel would come over, assist with our technique or introduce a new item to try. Overall it was an incredibly relaxing and empowering experience. Nothing says confidence boost like throwing an axe 8 feet and having it hit a bullseye! The restrooms are super clean, there's arcade games in the back, and it's very dog friendly! I brought my weimaraner inside and she got to experience the fun with the rest of the family. The decor creates a cozy vibe, even though its an incredibly open space. Along the back wall there is a gorgeous mural of a jackalope. I wish I had taken a better pic of it. Miguel said an artist from Central America comes up every year and adds more to the mural, so it's ever evolving art. It is really unique and stunning in person! On the back wall behind the cash register are a bunch of award medals, and it turns out Miguel is a highly awarded axe throwing champion! He was so humble about it, when I asked. However, his expertise really shows when he assists you in learning the proper technique. He is living and sharing his passion, and that's what sets this place apart from just another entertainment center. There are axe throwing leagues you can join if you live in the area, and it's a fantastic stress reliever and cathartic experience if you're going through a rough time, or just want to learn a new skill to boost your confidence and self worth. It's an incredibly all inclusive venue, atmosphere, and experience. If you are looking for a laid back, super fun, energizing and empowering activity for just you, or the whole family, definitely check out Jumping Jackalope Axe Throwing!

Visited the CDA location, which is for ages 21 and over only! They also sell local canned beers and seltzers, not a large selection but at least it's something! I paid $14 for 3 beers so not bad. The parking lot is located behind the building, they are located in between a title loan company and Napa auto parts. If you don't make a reservation then there is a chance that they won't be open even during business hours because if they are slow they said they close so make a reservation! When you first arrive you will be shown how to throw the axes and ninja stars and also go over safety. This was definitely a fun experience and also a little workout at an hour in! I was a bit nervous on my first throw but the staff was very helpful in explaining the technique. I will be back for sure. They also have a league here, not sure if I'm ready for that but that's pretty cool!

I'm in town for a work conference and was just waking around after we broke for the day and stumbled across this place. Never thrown axes before but Miguel was awesome teaching me the FUNdamentals and by the end I was pretty consistent and accurate. Really friendly and fun place and so glad I stumbled across it. Next time I'm back in town will definitely go back! I'm in town for a work conference and was just waking around after we broke for the day and stumbled across this place. I had a wonderful birthday party at Jumping Jackelope. I definitely recommend the birthday package offered at this establishment! We got to have a lesson and then play throwing games with our friends. We got to throw two handed axes, one handed axes, and ninja stars. The instructor was very friendly, professional and helpful. With the birthday package, the deal saves a lot of money. I would have paid full price just because of how fun and informative it would be worth it.

If you wanted to try out axe throwing, wouldn't you want to learn from A WORLD CHAMPION??? I literally could not have imagined a better experience and had the most fun!!! We did this for team building, but this would be AWESOME as a birthday party or date night. If you're thinking about doing something different for a night out I would 10/10 recommend! Surprisingly relaxing and totally chill!

The people before us had smashed a TV and we got to finish the TV off before they cleaned it up. It was super fun, my girlfriend and I did the couples therapy session which was awesome. Inside the rage room, they have a speaker to connect your phone to and we blasted Linkin park the whole time. You WILL be sore afterwords. My shin splints are still dying down lol. The employee or owner (I don't know) was super nice and funny. Afterwords we got some markers and got to write our frustration on the walls! They have a wall of shame where people write their ex's names. All in all, I'd totally do this again, just maybe once my muscles stop screaming at me.

You have to be buzzed in because of the idk downtown can be sketchy. Bought extra glassware because 4 people for 45 minutes you have a very small tub to break shit kinda ridiculous and had to buy more since we did pay for the full 45 minutes, they wanted you to break stuff that was already broken to make it easier to clean it up. Had to put our own stuff away odd in my opinion because at that point what are they being paid for? Had to use the restroom next door thank god they were very very nice only good experience!
