I called El Torito and asked if they could host my surprise dinner, whether they had space for 12-15 people, if we could reserve an area away from other guests, and if we could bring our own decorations for the tables. They were more than happy to accommodate all of it, and their servers were wonderful throughout the night. Everyone loved the food, and having the privacy of one of the back rooms made the whole evening feel even more special. My family, and especially my husband, had such a wonderful time. We can't thank El Torito enough for helping bring my vision to life!

Was told they don't serve Happy Hour at a seated table, but our waitress made an exception for us since we didn't know. It was hard to get service as our waitress was really busy. We ordered the Fresh Tableside Guacamole for $15, Street Corn for $4, Crispy Chicken Flautas for $8, Midori Melon Signature Margarita for $6, and Pomegranate Signature Margarita for $6. Was told the Horchata for around $5 was pretty good. We received complimentary chips and salsa and it was spicy, but good. The Fresh Tableside Guacamole was made fresh in front of us and was really good. They use the same chips for the salsa and guacamole. We were able to get multiple refills on the chips. The Street Corn was not good and was on the buttery side. The Crispy Chicken Flautas was really good with the sauces and came out hot and crispy. Both of the margaritas were weak, but we preferred the pomegranate over midori melon for flavor. They forgot our to go order and we had to go back to get it. Our waitress was nice but she was really busy and it was hard to get service. Would get the Fresh Tableside Guacamole and Crispy Chicken Flautas again.

Plenty of booths and some two tops that can accommodate parties more than 4 people. We walked in and were instantly greeted by Irma at the counter. As she pointed out available booths, she gave us the rundown on breakfast specials (that are also written on the grease board). Besides a hot cup o' Joe- I wanted some light bites. My typical breakfast plates would consist of Country Fried Steak/ Corned Beef Hash/ or Steak & Eggs. This time- when I heard Irma mention Beef Barley soup, I thought a cup would suffice. Along with that- sides of crispy bacon (I think 5 strips came in that order) & an English muffin. Which was toasted to perfection. Once I took my first spoonful of the Beef Barley soup- I knew I was gonna order an entire bowl. The strips of beef had some of the tasty gristle that truly makes the broth. Simple hearty soup. No shortage of barley and beef. I haven't had this soup in so long, it brought me back to childhood. I couldn't stop raving about it, (I'm a gal of simple pleasures) to other patrons. Hubby's breakfast combo came with a huge portion of hash browns. I told him to pack it up in a To Go container w/ the remaining bacon. And the hash browns were just as buttery & delicious when I re heated them in my skillet later the following day. Irma kept checking on us and would chit chat here and there. She truly is a gem of a person. This is now my new breakfast spot next time we're in the

The diner style interior is very well lite, clean but a bit smaller than I anticipated, they do have a good sized outdoor seating area and an ample parking lot in the back side of the building. The food, we ordered a Reuben Sandwich and a Cheeseburger. From what we had seen, the food looked great. The burger had lettuce, tomato, union, cheese, that oddly was not melted, a nice sauce, pickles and decent looking meat patty, unfortunately the last few bites of the meat patty had a funky taste, like it was a little old, hence the 3 star rating, the burger is also served with a decent amount of fries. The Reuben looked and tasted amazing, also served with a large portion of fries, one of the nice touches on this sandwich was the grilled Pastrami, this was a nice touch, its also served with sauerkraut & Swiss cheese on Rye. I do want to return to try the amazing looking breakfast options, they seem to have a huge variety of options. I also want to commend the wait stay, they were very nice and engaging, they came around multiple times to ensure that we had what we needed.

This place is a little hole in the wall spot, which I actually prefer over the big chain restaurants. You tend to get better service and I'd rather support a small business. We're from out of town so this was a prefect find for us and I'd recommend this place. I'd come back if we were in the area.

I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble, I'm just trying to provide feedback because truth is, if Rosie hadnt apologized, I doubt I would ever come back. Ordered about 10 minutes afterward... and the food arrived 30 minutes later. Feels like a long time to wait no? But I figured they're busy and its understandable for a Saturday morning. The problem is, they forgot part of my order (the toast) so we continued to wait and the food on the plate just kept getting colder and colder. After TWO reminders to the waitress, I got my toast at 10:43. I asked if i can speak to the manager, lets see how long it takes for her to come.

After spending the day at Willow Springs Raceway, it has always been a tradition to eat at Baracoa afterwards for the past couple of years now. We all love their dishes. The oxtail is raved about, service is always excellent, vibes are great esp on live music nights. This time around, we had a slightly larger party since there were more of us at the raceway this day and we were excited for our friends to finally try Baracoa. We've always had maybe 1 or 2 dogs with us and so we'd sit out on the patio. These dogs are quiet and obedient. They just lie under the table at your feet and are never restless & never beg/bark/whine. Since we had a larger party and now 3 dogs with us, maybe it drew more attention? Our waiter said that he will have to ask the boss if it's okay that we have dogs since usually it's policy to not have dogs on the premises. We were so confused since we've been coming here. The boss/owner/manager, I can't remember exactly his title, came outside and let us know that unfortunately, pets are not allowed, even on the patio. We were all taken aback with nothing to say except having dropped jaws as he was walking away. Before he completely left our sight, we asked when that became a policy since we have always been here with dogs. He said it's always been a rule and cannot speak for his employees and the decisions they make when he's not there. He goes on to state that the pets are unclean and that he has customers. In that moment, I thought, "What are we then? Have we never been customers?" With a firm tone, he asked us to cooperate. It would have been a different kind of feeling if this boss had said ANYTHING along the lines of, "We would love to have you back to dine with us, but please without your dogs." This interaction felt like major rejection, hate towards pets, and to just get out immediately. We had already ordered 3 cortado frios, which I always think is to-die-for here, and that will be our last sips from them. It was also way more sweet than strong this time, sadly. We will not be returning to this establishment.
