From the beginning this place has been warm and inviting along with the great choices. I believe this is the best breakfast place in the AV. The smiles from Chelly and Sal are always a bonus! read more

So, we we're on the road to points north, looking for breakfast. Four stars sounds good, right? Well... Machaca scramble was rather bland, and the eggs were kinda overcooked and watery - this is a cardinal sin. Hash browns were just OK, not especially crispy. Bagel was lackluster, french fries were limp, and the coffee was typical diner and hence just alright. The best thing was the honey nut muffin which was actually pretty good. Aside from that, you're better off at Denny's, which is saying something coming from me. I'm sad to write this as the service was good, prompt and friendly. But the truth is the truth. read more

Good little place to eat, quite load because they were very busy. Good food and fair prices. Real good coffee!

Wow this place is amazing. The muffins are to die for and the artichoke scramble is top notch. A little hidden gem out here. Friendly service & the freshest orange juice MMMMM read more

Not worth it if you're ordering for delivery. I've ordered from this place a few times before and none were as bad as today. I ordered a California Benedict, eggs Benedict and French toast with bacon and two eggs. First the Benedicts were thrown in the styrofoam, the fruit that came with them was mush and not edible. The avocado on the California Benedict had gone bad, the hollandaise sauce had a milk aftertaste and there were no potatoes or toast (like other times I've ordered.) The French toast was missing the eggs. Waste of money since half our food was not edible, and the other half was missing, and what we could eat was mediocre at best. read more

A pretty pricey place in Palmdale. We've been to different breakfast/brunch restaurants in the area and Chelly's overall value is much lower. Standard selections and food is just okay. We will not visit again. read more

So looking forward to trying the Sourdough Grilled sandwich today but was sadly disappointed. We chose beef for the meat and was expecting a substantial portion of green chilis and Jack cheese to complement the meat. The meat was ample and tasty, but the green chilis and cheese taste was almost nonexistent. A whole green chili would be better suited to this sandwich, rather than the measly teaspoon of chopped green chilis they put on. And the coleslaw was just ok, nothing I'd go back for. Won't order this ever again; guess I'm better off going to Carl's Jr. They know how to do a green chili sandwich. read more

Food was great , I ended getting something out of the ordinary not your typical breakfast food but it was great . I had the meatloaf open face sandwich & it was amazing I'd recommend it to anyone who likes meatloaf . I will say the only negative was the service with the servers , I feel they may need one or two more servers read more

Food was really good, and the service was great. No need to say much but try this gem!

Staff are friendly! Love their freshly squeeze orange juice. They have mostly mexican dishes on their menu. Food is tasty.

The second my toddler and I walked in we got greeted right away and with a smile First time here and it really takes a lot from me to go out of my way to write a review. The hostess, actually the whole crew (Freddy) was so friendly and especially the waitress that served us (CHRISTINE). Friendly and attentive! Hard to find a pleasant server with common sense. Restaurant was clean and nice and tidy. If you want a delicious breakfast at a reasonable price check this place out. Ask to sit with Christine read more

Very good breakfast, Service was excellent, location in a strip mall lots of parking ..

Great service! Went there for breakfast and found they make their own muffins. Sooo good, served nice and warm. Haven't had grits in a while, tasty with some honey. Good food , great service, excellent choice for breakfast. read more

Small cozy family location with friendly staff. I ordered a waffle with eggs and sausage. The waffle was pretty good and big! They have a lot of items on the menu and their servings are pretty large. The place is maintained pretty clean and that's a plus. I do recommend this place and I would go back to try something else from their menu. The place is located in a shopping center and there is plenty of parking. read more

Reliably good breakfast food and polite staff. The wait time isnt crazy and the staff is very attentive.

Horrible customer service! Came here this morning and asked for eggs over medium. Instead they gave me over easy with the whites burned. Our server tried to correct me saying they were over medium. So i had them remake it. Only to come out exactly the same as the first time. The server never apologized or anything. Instead when i mentioned they are still over easy she said next time order them over hard! I began to explain to her that the difference is not a burned egg white but a more cooked yolk. She then said the owner made them and she doesnt know the difference because she isnt a cook. Well then dont try to correct customers and tell the owner to learn the difference! Rude servers bad food! Even the country fried steaks was nasty! read more

An a-ok breakfast spot off the highway in Palmdale. I pass by several times a year on my way to Death Valley or Yosmite and decided to give this place a try yesterday. It wasn't very crowded when I came in around 8am... i was greeted and seated quickly. I decided to go with the mechaka which is mexican steak mixed in with eggs and potatoes. My meal was pretty good...but not outstanding. The steak in my mechaka was tasty... but I would've preferred a bit more vegetables. read more

Excellent food, great service, affordable prices! What more could you ask for? Homemade Muffins, you say? Yup, they have those too, an assortment of flavors for your pallette. Chelly, is very down to earth and attentive. Saturday and Sunday will get packed especially after church. I try my best to get here during the week, haven't had to wait yet. But even when I have it wasn't long and they were able to accomodate my party of 4 adults and 2 children without a problem. California omelette, two egg bfast special and sandwiches have hit the spot nicely! read more

I stopped by this little cafe because of the stellar yelp reviews. Im glad i did! Its located in a large strip mall with Wal Mart and Souplantation nearby. We went around 830am on a Saturday morning and they were relatively busy but there was no wait. Also, theres a huge parking lot. I ordered the Guadalajara skillet with a sunny side uo egg. My egg was slightly overdone but still good. The skillet had tons of chorizo and was very flavorful. It was a HUGE portion. I like that they have fresh salsa for your food since a lot of the menu items are themed "South of the Border." My boyfriend got the steak and eggs with hash. The hash is crispy - just the way I like it. The steak was juicy and but the seasoning wasnt my taste. My boyfriend liked it though. Also - get the honey oat bran muffin. Its delicious! They warm it up for you too. Service is really great too! Everyone is super attentive and friendly. We literally put one foot through the door and the busboy already had menus in hand a table ready for us. Woot! read more

Can see why this place gets great reviews and they were packed at 9am on a Friday to prove it! The servers went above and beyond to take care of everyone and food came out quick and hot! Definitely diner quality fare but made w an extra degree of love! Wasn't disappointed by my ABC omelette and the rest of my party cleared their plates as well... We are breakfast lovers and decided to try this place out because of the awesome yelp reviews! Yelp didn't fail us! This place is great!! Our server was very friendly and our food came out pretty quick! I must say the Guadalajara skillet is a MUST TRY ! It was very tasty! We also had the loaded waffles and chilaquiles, both were delicious!! Their salsa has a bit of a kick, sooo good! And who doesn't love freshly squeezed OJ!!!! If you're in Palmdale, give this place a try! We will definitely be back again...and again! read more

I rarely leave reviews despite checking yelp often for them. However, this restaurant was phenomenal! I thought I'd be disappointed when I only saw coffee mate on the table for coffee creamer (yep, if I can't have real half & half I just won't bother having coffee!) Which usually met average to poor coffee. But Jessica not only had half & half for me, the coffee was beautiful this Sunday am: bold but silky smooth! The muffins were fresh out of oven, the pancakes had a nice crisp to the edges, the bacon had no grease, the breakFast burrito was huge & tasty and the the home fries- well they were spot on with crunchy parts and soft texture. What a great cafe to return to! read more

In our food adventure, I heard about Chelly's Cafe from more than one of my friends. For the record, I prefer to go to local "mom & pop" shops more so than the National Food places. If you're looking a nice and quiet place to have breakfast, this probably won't work for you. If you're looking for some great food, great service, and great prices, you're in the right place. As my friend "Arnold" says, "I'll be back"! read more

Labor Day so they are slammed but handle it oh so well. You right your own name on the list when you arrive. They made me a custom skillet with no eggs and it was awesome. Grits were perfect. Wife had ABC omelette and it was good but the star of everything was the waffles and French toast. My picky girls devoured them and the cinnamon was the perfect touch. Very friendly staff working hard. Awesome!!! read more

I ordered my food the lady did not bring me my coffee.... I had to ask somebody else to give me my coffee after 10-15 minutes. I finally received my coffee at the same time as my food. Then she tried to act like she wanted to top of my coffee I said I just got it she gave me Hella attitude and told me if I don't like their service I can leave..... I was shocked....... I checked Yelp app before going. I was looking for the best place for breakfast. This place seemed to have a great rating so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs with grits and rye toast. Everything was good but I have never had hash like that before. It was really weird in looks to start off. After tasting it the consistency was like baby food. It was a blob of pasty mush. The flavor was not bad except it had a tang to it. Just the oddest breakfast I ever had. I'm not sure if I'd go back again. read more

Homemade muffins were so tasty. Service was perfect and done with a smile. Everything was really good. Really tasty Mac n cheese. Would have been a 5 star except for the chicken fried steak. It was a CFS cracker with gravy. I've never seen one so thin. Bummer. And the side salad needed a little more love. It was all pale head lettuce with a few slices of pale tomato. Everything else was spot on. Would come back for sure. read more

We've recently got to enjoy this cute cafe, and decided we would come back! Atmosphere, it's busy! At least when we went. I love the decor but am not a fan of the layout of seats. Prices, normal for a cafe. Now the most important part, the food! The berry smoothie was totally yummy. Our daughter had kids pancakes which were Mickey shaped and she ate them all. So you know they were good haha. Boyfriend had French toast that seemed just okay, their was an odd taste to it I couldn't figure out. I had the waffles and they were yummy, I could tell they add cinnamon and or vanilla to their batter, yumm. But my boyfriend and I agree, the bacon is what makes this place! That bacon was sure delicious and addicting. read more

Love the food there and the service. It's a bit pricey. Been going there since 2018. The people are friendly.

Ordered 3 breakfasts (pancakes, eggs Benedict, and egg breakfast with a muffin) to go. Didn't provide eating utensils, napkins, nor butter and syrup for the pancakes we ordered. We didn't realize this until we got back to our hotel room. Food was good. Probably won't be returning to Palmdale for a while so may not be back. read more
