Our 2nd time at Cafe Americana and everything was great!…read more The seafood paella is a great deal - it is considered a 'side dish' on the menu lol but is plenty for 2 people as a meal. Great flavor and plenty of clams, mussels and shrimp. We also really enjoyed the crispy pork - nice little kick in the sauce and the perfect amount of marbling in the meat. The carpaccio was Texas-sized. Speaking of Texas-sized, do not skip the award-winning coconut cake. It is on the pricey side for a dessert but it easily feeds 4 and yes, it is that good! Our server, Tiffani, was outstanding. She was very attentive throughout our meal, and when the Rioja we wanted was out, she poured my wife several samples to help her decide on another bottle - we ended up w an excellent easy-drinking Paso Robles Cabernet. This place is definitely worth the trip!

We opted for the tapas-style sharing, and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. They recommended the shrimp, which was hands-down the highlight of the meal! However, the rest of the menu fell a bit short. With tapas, you expect every small bite to pack a punch, but the flavors here leaned more 'middle-of-the-road' than standout. My biggest issue, however, was the atmosphere. While I always appreciate a spotless restaurant, the staff was cleaning during service, and the overwhelming smell of bleach and Fabuloso totally took over the dining room. It's hard to enjoy a meal with strong chemical fumes in the air. Overall: fantastic staff and location, but the food and dining environment need some fine-tuning.

The chips are good and the bean dip and salsa are excellent. Today we split chicken and skirt steak fajitas. They were excellent! The biggest problem with steak fajitas is when the meat is tough or chewy, making it difficult to eat without pulling the meat out of the tortilla. The meat today was delicious and tender. Service was fantastic. Our server, Oscar was fast and attentive enough to make sure we were enjoying the meal, not too intrusive. The atmosphere feels more authentic than many larger chains. There are a lot of tables and it is not quiet, but not really noisy either. It was easy to carry on a quiet conversation. Would highly recommend. I have no idea why their Yelp rating isn't higher.

We requested patio seating, only to be told it was closed, despite seeing another couple already seated and being served outside. No explanation was offered, which was disappointing and confusing. This isn't the first time we've visited and noticed a pattern: long waits for us, while guests who appear to share the same background as the hostess are seated immediately. It's hard to overlook when it happens repeatedly. We're generous tippers and consistent customers, but this visit made it clear that it's time for us to move on. We'll be dining in Las Colinas from now on.

I ordered the lunch special -- Haitian fried chicken in sauce, crispy Haitian fritters (Marinade), white rice, black beans (sauce pwa nwa), and pickliz -- and let me tell you... WOW. And yes, you absolutely need to pair it with a cold Cola Couronne to complete the experience. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly moist and tender on the inside, drenched in rich, flavorful sauce. The white rice was cooked just right, fluffy and fresh. And the black beans (sauce pwa nwa)... hmmmmmm. So well-seasoned, hearty, and comforting -- you can taste the love in every bite. The pickliz added that perfect spicy kick to balance everything out. The Marinade fritters were golden, crispy, and packed with flavor -- the perfect starter or side. And the best part? All of this was just $14. You can't beat that for the quality and portion size. I highly encourage everyone to go support this restaurant. If you want authentic Haitian cuisine done right, La Perle Des Antilles is the spot. I'll definitely be back! make sure you bring cash.

Now you'd think with a restaurant to have a small menu that they would master their craft and serve your an amazing meal NOPE! Thankfully we didn't go with the absurd $70 price point and instead we decided to order à la carte. I ordered the chicken and waffles and I'll tell u if I spent $70 to be served that dish I would be f*ckin pissed! Not only was my food cold when it arrived. The tenders they used looks like straight out of a Tyson chicken box from Walmart. We joked sonic had the same tenders. Now you'd would think they at least knew how to heat up the chicken (see cold food comment above) NOPE! My chicken was legitimately raw! Whooooo TF serves up raw chicken in such an expensive restaurant??? Which is potentially DEADLY btw! I had such high expectations of this place seeing it was in the heart of downtown Fort Worth and with how amazing dinner looks from the pictures I assumed I was in for a treat for brunch too but I was gravely mistaken. The first red flag should've been how slow it was there were barely any people there. But we decided to give it a try anyways. Fortunately enough I got away with having to only pay $30 for my Tyson raw chicken and waffles and an upset stomach. Will never recommend this place or come here again. Ambiance 7/10 Service 5/10 Brunch 1/10 literally inedible
