Being raised in a Nigerian household the food was average. The menu was a piece of paper. Everyone wanted to know if I spoke Edo. (I do not). Wanted to try something out of the regular routine. This place was near by with great reviews. Nevertheless to say it ended up living up to its great reviews. I order my food to go and they give me a huge portion of rice with my meal that could last me into the next day. (no complaints there) The place it self has a "homey" feel and they are extremely polite when helping you pick out what you want. The food it self is very flavorful and fulfilling, but not heavy. I truly think I'm being generous with a 2 star rating. Since I live nearby I had been meaning to try this place, but regret the $12 I spent. I called in my order. When I arrived, and opened the door it was different... No greeting station just table and chairs set up like you fellowship hall in your small local church. The wait staff were Very prompt, friendly, and attentive. - atmosphere: the restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. -Food: The most important part. I have been looking for authentic party jollof rice for years. Every time i go to a new city I go around the different Nigerian restaurants. My goodness where do I start When you first walk into the establishment you feel like your walking into someone's kitchen, you have a mother cutting up plantains for a big order and someone behind the counter preparing dishes that are mixed with so many good aromas, after seeing that I already knew this food was about to be bomb. I ordered jollof rice and chicken which I thought came with plantains but didn't :( once I got home and finally dug into the rice I was so overcome with a sensation of flavors FINALLY!!! Spicy rice that I've been looking for since my co workers wedding. The jollof rice was spicy with soo many flavors that it was a meal all on its own, now, let's get into this chicken... you can tell this chicken was properly marinated because once I bit into the drumstick the inside was full of spices that I could see honestly I do not think I put my fork down or cleaned my hands until I was completely finished. So far the best Nigerian food in DFW. Large portions for dine in and take out. They have a dining side and a take out side. Doors aren't clearly marked but the take out side has a cashier window and you can see the kitchen. The dining side is on the side of the building facing some convenience store and it has white walls, tables and hardwood floor and a TV. The service was great but they didn't have any menus. Arriving to the restaurant, we needed to look for the actual entrance for a little bit and at one point we were wondering if we were even at the right location. But once we found the entrance to the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by a woman who sat us down at a table and didn't give us a menu, but did give us her recommendation. We took her recommendation and ordered the "Jollof rice with chicken", which is what she considered to be the most popular item on the menu. After about ten minutes, we were presented with our delicious meal, which impressed us very much. The portion size was great, consisting of a plate full of savory and heavily seasoned rice accompanied by two pieces of chicken. The chicken however, was slightly over cooked for our taste but overall the dish was truly delicious. The service was very welcoming and extremely hospitable towards us and we truly believed that they wanted us to have the best experience possible at their restaurant. The price for a meal very reasonable as the total came out to be about $26 (for a meal for two) and we left with plenty of leftovers! All in all, this was a very pleasant and delicious experience for us and we will be back to enjoy some more! read more

The jollof was good. I was thirsty all day after eating it. As if I've eaten some Chinese food full of MSG. You can tell the jollof is heavy on some sauce. Too much salt. Also kindly bring the credit card machine out to the customers view when they use credit card to pay. Don't take it to the back where it was out of my site. This is my second trying their food. I had jollof rice with fish the first time it was well cooked and the fish stew was well seasoned. I actually went to the restaurant the second time the customer service was outstanding. I asked to try some yam porridge, they gave a nice portion with some vegetables.
