Cheffrey Eats sits in the parking lot of Barrel of Monks, everyone's favorite local brewery(which you, like myself, probably never even knew was in this obscure location). It's kind of the perfect partnership, a burger and beer. The first time out I go for the infamous burrata burger. Cashew pesto, cherry peppers, balsamic reduction, and I huge piece of creamy burrata cheese. Technically speaking it's beyond reproach. The spicy peppers balanced by the sweet balsamic, atop a huge beef patty. I'll admit fries simply didn't do it for me. Textually speaking, more crunch was needed. But It's a great well thought out burger, period. My one true gripe? The price point! $17 for just a burger alone is on the way extreme end. I ventured up to Boca recently to meet up with some friends at Barrel of Monks brewery to check out the burgers at Cheffrey Eats food truck, inspired by them recently winning the Sun Sentinel's readers poll for best burgers in South Florida. Let me tell you folks, the hype is real. I opted for the French Onion burger on a Garlic And Gruyere Toasted Bun with Caramelized Onion Jam, Gruyere Cheese, Fried Onions, and French Onion Soup For Dipping. One of the most unique and incredible burgers I've ever had. Nice outdoor seating area as well. The bar inside is fairly small but cozy, and had a nice beer selection. I had a couple of the Eyes of Amber, which was excellent. Just a pro tip as well for any first timers checking the place out. After reading the reviews I have to say I was a bit disappointed by the actual experience here. The burgers are now nearly 20 and fries are an extra 2 bucks, which despite the Fed printing trillions of dollars is pretty ridiculous for a place that has the overhead of a food truck. I don't drink so the brewery experience was missed on me. The food however was just average, yes, a heavty amount of Blue Cheese on my burger, it even overwhelmed it a bit. The first two bites in the middle were nice n juicy, the rest a little well done for me. It was almost dark by the time our food was dropped at our table so I couldn't see the consistency of the fries, but they were good. Not much atmosphere really eating next to the parking lot. My friend said I was totally lost while driving into the business district the brewery is located in. read more

Whenever I visit my dad in Boyton Beach we always stop by Barrel of Monks brewing and get food from Cheffrey Eats. Any of the tacos typically are a popular pick for us and we also always get the truffle fries. The serving sizes are great and we can just place our order, go get some beers and find a spot and typically the food comes out shortly after! So quick and easy. Barrel of Monks has a small inside with some TVs and games and then a bunch of outside tables too when it's nice out, I tend to prefer sitting outside but either are great! read more

Racist owner. They messed up my husbands order. Gave him two tacos. One without chicken but everything else in it. They were moving too fast. He spoke to staff nicely about their mistake. The owner cornered my husband on his next visit to say next time don't move chicken to one taco. He frequents the establishment multiple times a week with his staff to buy them dinner since it's close to his office so it was no big deal. They have messed up and undercooked food previously and my husband has never made a big deal about it. Crew members have been rude as well. My husband is in an above excellent financial position. There's no need to lie. He could afford to pay for everyone's meal that visits that establishment in a day. Apparently the Hispanic person had to lie. We were hankering for a flavorful burger and Cheffrey's did not disappoint! The seating outdoors looked lovely and clean but when we went, none were available so we took our burgers home (12 min drive). The fries didn't hold up but I wasn't expecting them to. The bottom bun also got a little soggy but I didn't mind because it mean the burger was juicy. Burrata Burger: just WOW! It was such a well balanced set of savory flavors. The cheese was just right. So was the pesto. I'm a wimp when it comes to spice so I had to chop up the ghost pepper and put it back in my burger to avoid surprise bites but it's the kind of kick that makes you want more. Boy Blue: also a stunner. My partner got this one and I'm glad he did. I usually avoid blue cheese burgers because there's too an overwhelming amount. Cheffrey's not only put the right amount, the caramelized onions had a pleasant sweetness that balanced the cheese. In hindsight I'm glad I didn't get this because I would have scoffed the whole burger down too quickly. :) Coming from NY, the price for the burgers ($17-$18) is comparable but this still felt like an great value because I think there is a half pound of beef in each burger and the fries are included. I've been to this spot 3 times maybe 4. I think this may have been my last trip there. The food and service seems to have gone down each time while the price is definitely up. In all I spent $150 for the fam to eat trumped up food truck burgers and wings. What I mean is, everything is served out of a food truck. Tossed in sauce, the wings are good. The burgers are big, prob 1/2lb sandwiches whether it's 2 meats combined or just one. So that's good, along with their Bomb Sauce which is also good. After that, things go south. Gotta ask someone to wipe off the tables before u eat. Not much flavor in their food without the sauce. And With so much sauce on such a huge sandwich, it's messy to eat. There's no wet naps, the tables are small, you have dirty napkins piled up everywhere. Plus if you go at night, you can't see your food. They need more light at the tables. After you place your order, you go sit at a table. Then when your food is ready, a guy walks around with your plate yelling your name until you answer so he knows which table to bring it to. It's tacky and you're talking/ yelling over the food.. ugh. For some reason they bring the basket of fries to the table like an appetizer, 20 mins before the burgers. So either u eat your burger with cold fries, or no fries because they are gone by the time the rest of your food comes. We waited a good while but eventually got 2 of 3 orders but I continued to wait a long time for the last sandwich. I finally decided to go over to the truck to ask about my food, and it was just sitting on the counter outside the truck, open and exposed, next to a lady who was ordering her food. And I'm pretty sure I saw a guy inside the food truck with a tank top on. The potential is there. A few tweaks in service, process, and professionalism would go a long way. Some table lights, a microphone to call customers up to get their food, fries are not an appetizer, no tank tops etc and it's all good. Food was very good and we were personally helped with ordering. We sat at Barrel of Monks and got a beer from there. We were also able to try different beers there which was nice. The burgers were filled to the top with ingredients but the buns withstood the test of time. The French onion burger gets dumped into the French onion soup, which was messy but not as messy as I'd have thought. The side serving of fries is large as well as the actual serving of fries. The fried pickles were very good, nice amount of pickle to breading. Would recommend if you love loaded up burgers. read more

My son had a Lacrosse game in Boca, so what did that mean?? Finally, a burger from Cheffrey Eats at Barrel of Monks Brewing! Yes! It was awesome! Great friendly service, neat atmosphere, and delicious food! I had "My Boy Bleu" but added bacon and cheddar, and did not have the bleu cheese. I guess I can call it My Boy Porky Cheds? My Boy Bleu caramelized onions, and a home-made blue cheese between a toasted kaiser bun. My burger was cooked perfectly and I loved every bite of it. The bun was really good as well. The Sriracha aioli that I dipped the REAL fries in was heavenly. My husband had the "Burrata Burger." Cashew pesto, spicy cherry peppers, 7 ounce angus beef patty, burrata cheese and a balsamic drizzle between a toasted kaiser bun. He also really enjoyed it! The French fresh cut fires are cut to order and are simply a the truest version of French fries ever. We had their amazing burgers, while they offer a Beyond Meat verison, we stayed traditional with BEEF. I had the Pigout, which consist of a 7 oz Angus Beef Patty, with shredded pork, cheddar cheese, toped with bacon and their special home made BBQ Sauce derived a toasted Kaise Bun, it is truly one of the most impressive burger in taste I have ever had. However warning it is MESSEY! My wife went with the Barnyard, which was featured on Food Networks Diner, Drive-Ins and Dives, tv series. It consist of It's a 100% angus beef patty, buttermilk battered fried chicken, bacon slices, and melted cheddar, smothered in their signature B.O.M.B. sauce! Bottom line, I think the burgers are only ordinary. The toppings are just gimmicks. As a result the burger itself is too thick to reasonably hand hold. You wind up needing a knife and fork to eat the burger. The wings are quite good and the portion is very large. Skip the desserts. We were wondering what all the buzz was about, seeing the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. Minimum burger price is at least $15 and that doesn't even include fries or a drink. This is really expensive especially when you consider your eating from a food truck. Our burger was undercooked, and loaded with pickles. And frankly was just not that good and insanely overpriced. For the prices here you could just about eat a burger to five star restaurant and not have to deal with hearing a loud generator and eating in a parking lot of a strip mall. After being thoroughly disappointed with Cheffrey Eats, we went about a half mile away to Mooyah, an upscale burger place which was night and day better. Wowza. I'm pretty cynical and it takes a lot to impress me. But I was impressed. You don't expect food this good from a restaurant let alone a food truck. I wish my pictures were better to show this. I'd seen some chat on line about them and joined their newsletter website to register to get free fries which I needed to do within the week. As we were heading north to WPB, this made the perfect stop. Yelper Raymond K's review steered me in the direction to order the specific burger that I did -- their "pig out" one. The burger itself was very good but the toppings made it spectacular: chunks of tenders pulled pork, candied bacon, cheese, and a tangy sweet bbq sauce. Just Devine. And huge! I was only able to eat half (I took the other part home for dinner later). In fact, I ate more of it because it was so delicious. We'd gotten the basket of fries well done (recommended) and they were good too. My husband went "old school" -- a regular burger with tomato and onion (he left off the lettuce). It, too, was a very tasty burger. They have tables outside, but we chose to eat inside with air conditioning at the brewery (the truck is parked outside). My husband enjoyed a beer with his lunch. I've eaten from them many times and I have tried all the burgers on the regular menu plus some of their rotating monthly specials. They are all amazing. My favorite is the My Boy Blue I love blue cheese and the housemade blue cheese sauce on this thing is LEGIT!!
