We started with some tasty drinks ( white Russians, lemoncello, cadillac margaritas), amazing appetizers (calamari and bruschetta), and a delightful mix of entrees (chicken marsala, mushroom truffle gnocchi, penne pasta with vodka sauce and Italian sausage, and chicken and artichoke). Our party of three enjoyed getting off strip and a more reasonably priced meal here. The service is excellent and we split the house specials of Veal Parmesan and Frutti di Mare. Excellent presentations and taste. The veal was exceptionally tender and the breading, red sauce, and cheese complemented the veal nicely. The seafood in our pasta dish tasted very fresh, especially the shrimp. This restaurant had a very relaxed vibe. It was not overcrowded. Passed this gem on my way to the butcher shop. I was completely surprised when I saw it, as I've been in that plaza numerous times. Because it was Friday, and I was in the mood to eat( when I'm not in the mood to eat? ) NEVER!! LOL We made reservations ( Highly recommend ) we were seated promptly. The ambience was quiet and romantic. Perfect for a date or bigger groups based on the size of the booth. We ordered the bruschetta for our appetizer, chicken parmesan and fettuccine chicken Alfredo for our entree. And lastly a piece of heavenly tiramisu for dessert! Absolutely EVERYTHING was delicious!! The chicken parmesan was done to perfection! It was thinly sliced yet moist ! The pasta and cheese sauce was made with LOVE!! Overall, an amazing experience from the host, waiter and service! Located in a small strip mall off of Horizon Ridge (across from the post office.) The ambiance / decor is simple. Not ornate... lots of windows with natural lighting. Not too loud inside, so conversation was easy. We didn't have to shout over music or other people. They serve up Classic Italian dishes bursting with flavor. Not overly garlic-y either. The surprise dish for me was the Grilled Veg Salad. Seriously... The Best Salad I've ever had. Add a protein and you've got a complete meal. Service was really good. We didn't experience the service issues that others have mentioned. And we are not regulars. We did notice that there did seem to be quite a few 'regulars' tho. read more

This was my first time at this restaurant. The inside is semi elegant (but not too elegant) with white linen tables, and it had just a clean, classy vibe. Alfredo, the bartender, was friendly. We came during happy hour and the bar was pretty packed. I know he was slammed, but he did his best to ensure he was taking care of everyone in the right order. He made really good dirty martinis! We had a table for six for our reservation in the main dining area. Our waiter's name was Brandon. He was just a basic kind of pleasant, but honestly he wasn't very friendly or outgoing. A couple of people in my party even mentioned that he probably didn't like his job because of his facial expressions, and just the fact that he was very quiet and underwhelming even when we were trying to make conversation to get him out of his shell or to laugh. Brandon is the only reason I did not give this place 5 stars. Other than that, the food was absolutely amazing! We ordered clams, garlic bread, and the stuffed artichoke for our appetizers. I didn't even get a picture of those dishes because we were so hungry! We did order the Chicken piccata, Pappardelle Alfredo with chicken, Chicken parmigiana, Chicken marsala, Salmon, and Tortellini. And we all just shared from each other's plates because we wanted to try a little bit of everything! Honestly, it was all so so so delicious. We had a reservation and arrived a few minutes early. Our table was ready and we were seated right away. Got water and ordered a bottle of wine. Wife ordered the eggplant parm and I ordered the chicken parm. Portions were larger than average and delicious. Chicken was very tender and jucy. Wife very much enjoyed her EP. Poor service, good food. We arrived to the restaurant a few minutes before our reservation. No one greeted us. No one made eye contact. No one said hello. We arrived to what we assumed was the hostess stand as it had an iPad, but no person manning that area. We saw servers walking by, and the bartender working, no one acknowledged our presence for about 10 mins. When someone did they didn't apologize for the wait, or greet us in any friendly manner, they asked about a table and we stated we had a reservation. They noted they had a rush and a lot of people left so they needed to clear some tables. I went to the restroom while my wife waited for the table. 7 mins later, I'm out of the restroom, and she's still standing in the same place, waiting for a table. We get sat about 20 mins after our reservation time with no apology or acknowledgment. We ordered waters, that we had to ask for again and waited for about 10 mins to receive. Our waitress was running around the restaurant looking for something, getting into a verbal altercation with another coworker and appearing to be very upset. There was no "service" from our waitress. She appeared to recover from whatever had happened by the end of our meal, but never was truly nice/ kind/ or acting in a way of a server as we're accustomed, in a pleasant manner. We waiting a LONG time for the bread, the waitress said it was being prepared, the bread was cold, I'm not sure what kind of preparation took place, but it was odd. The bread was also wet, very off-putting and weird, especially since bread is not complimentary. The chicken parmigiana was EXCELLENT, so delicious would get again. The Cacio E Pepe was bland and lacking in cheese and flavor. Would not recommend. The chocolate gelato was amazing as was the tiramisu. I would order food to go, or door dash, but wouldn't physically eat here again. Called today to speak with the manager a little before they opened, and the manager was not available called back when they employee stated the manager would be available. Spoke with the manager, who was aware of the situation, noting that the owner was also aware of the situation. While attempting to speak with the manager and explain what had happened from my point of view, he was very dismissive, explaining about the recent staffing, shortages and issues they've been having in their restaurant. While all of this was valid, he seemed most interested in getting me off the phone instead of listening to what I had to say. While we were offered complementary appetizers, etc., to come back, I don't believe we will be taking them up on this offer due to the attitude received from service at all levels. read more

Roma is hands down our favorite restaurant. We come almost weekly--whether it's for date night or a family dinner--and it never disappoints. The food is the best in town, especially the spaghetti and meatballs. The staff, especially Beth and Nic are always incredibly kind and attentive, truly making you feel at home! We even brought our family visiting from Mexico here for our Christmas dinner, and it was the perfect choice. Chefs Roma Kitchen is located on Horizon Ridge in a strip mall on the north side of Horizon. We were immediately seated by the kitchen. The establishment was clean and well decorated. The staff was pleasant and accommodating and was fair with refills on water (all I was having to drink, so they could've come more often in my opinion. We began with bread and meatballs. The bread is delicious, and great for dunking in the meatball marinara. The meatballs were tender, moist and deliciously flavorful. For an entree I had chicken parm (Un- photographed, sorry I was preoccupied). The chicken parm was good. Not great, but very good. A little overdone in my opinion and dry. It was a while for entrees to show up, so I'm not sure if they sat for awhile before table delivery or what. Regardless, still a good place that I will return to. Overall Roma was very good. Nice ambience and good food and decent service. I recommend them and you should try them out. Better than their neighbor a short drive up the street east. read more

Just went last night for a impromptu date night. The staff were warm and welcoming, the waitress was also especially attentive. So the service is 10/10. My husband ordered the chicken artichoke which wasn't bad but the lemon was really strong and made the dish overall sour. I think it could've used something to offset it (we just dumped more parm). Amazing food and service! And... apparently they just got their gaming too! We sat at the bar. We caught the tale end of happy hour and enjoyed succulent meatballs and a delicious crisp Caesar salad. Fredo was our fantastic bartender. Super friendly and gave us a lot of great suggestions. He also makes a fabulous Old Fashioned! We went on to share the cacio e pepe as well as the branzino. Finished the night with some delicious pistachio gelato and affogato. Unfortunately, we were so hungry we forgot to take pictures until we had the affogato which came with an adorable little ceramic elephant to pour the espresso. We will definitely be back! read more

When we walked in we stood there for while the staff looked at us and walked around the restaurant without acknowledging us and we were kind of unsure if we should seat ourselves or not, but then someone finally came over. Our waitress kind of seemed semi annoyed the whole time while serving us which was odd since it was 7pm and they close at 9:30pm. Also the menu was decently smaller in person than online/Yelp. We ordered the bread & butter, calamari, bacon & avocado salad, chicken parm, and gnocchi. The bread & butter was small so I was a little confused why they charge for that. Calamari was crispy and I enjoyed the sauce on the side. Chicken parm was okay, I like mine a little crispier than what theirs was. Gnocchi was nice a creamy with plenty of mushrooms though. To start, the service was great! The host was very welcoming and our waiter, Dominic, was very polite. The ambiance is perfect for a date. Not too noisy and not too quiet. The music was beautiful, lots of soulful classics from Al Green, The Spinners, and Earth Wind and Fire to name a few. Lastly, the food was very good. I'd take a half of a point off if I could, only because, the pasta is not made fresh. However, everything was cooked to perfection. We started with the stuffed artichoke that had herbs, parmesan, and bread crumbs. I had the shrimp diablo and the spice was just right. The linguine pasta was cooked al dente (chef's kiss) and shrimp were juicy and not dry, thankfully! Also, the shrimp was cleaned well which was a huge plus. My mom had the Chicken Marsala that she really liked. She said the sauce was a little sweet but the chicken and mushrooms were cooked perfectly. My daughter and I don't go to nice restaurants often. I decided it would be fun to have a daddy daughter date night. We went and got each other new outfits and everything. Had been wanting to try Chef Roma's for awhile. So I made reservations. We were greeted immediately and seated. Then we sat there for almost 15 minutes. Not one person came to our table. My nine year old and I sitting there wondering. "So is anyone going to come over here?" Mind you. We were sitting at a table that was right next to the walkway going to the bar and entrance. Sadly, what was supposed to be a fun evening turned out very poorly. Not sure what happened here. But this was a terrible experience. I'm sure the foods great. We got up and left. I stopped a young woman on our way out to let her know that we had been sitting there and nothing. So we were going to leave. And that's exactly what we did. read more
