The crust was perfectly foldable with just the right amount of crisp. The sauce was flavorful and the toppings were generous too. What really stood out to me was the cheese! The service is friendly, especially from the guy with the neck tattoo, who appears to really take pride in his job, and that's nice to see. I can tell by the customers there that they like and appreciate the place. Unfortunately, I didn't like the pizza. The crust tasted cheap, not enough sauce, and I hardly noticed the cheese. Overall, the flavor was weak and faded. The veg on half the pizza were tiny. I used to really like this pizza a few years back- but it doesn't hit the same. My husband liked the pizza but he also eats it with a fork and knife, so his opinion is questionable. For a real New Yorkers, it doesn't fill that craving. From the second my husband and I walked in it was all smiles, hellos and welcomes ( from everyone ) We ordered pepperoni pizza, Carmines chopped salad, side of fries w/ ranch and raspberry ice tea. The pizza is delicious and the real deal. Tasting it took me back to childhood when I remember getting really GOOD pizza hanging out at the shore. The chopped salad was the BEST salad I've had in a long time - fresh, crisp veggies, beautifully balanced balsamic dressing, full of flavor and so perfect for these hot summer days. The raspberry iced tea washed it all down perfectly. I was too full for a dessert but, out of nowhere the manager (Denise) walked over and gave us a free cannoli - best cannoli I've ever had! The prices are right and the lunch specials are a steal. On the way out I stopped at the front desk and asked to speak to who I thought was the manager ( turns out he was the owner (Frank) I let him know how great I felt this place was and regardless of how busy the place was he stopped and took the time to chat with me and even gave me a card for a free large cheese pizza so I can come back and bring my girls in to try the food (as I am raising 2 baby foodies). When I realized Frank was the owner it all made sense as to why this restaurant is so successful. Frank was one of the people who greeted us, he was taking orders, filling orders, taking out food to tables, cleaning tables and doing everything that his employees do. He leads by example and clearly holds high standards for himself and his staff was an absolute reflection of this kind of leadership. Bravo! to you and your staff Frank!!! This place is DYNAMITE!!! Fantastic! Been going to Sean next door with my car for years. Never tried this place until recently! I'm over most pizza. It's boring. Pizza needs to wow me, and this does!! We've only done slices thus far and they don't disappoint. I tried cheese yesterday, it wasn't as good as the first time I had but that changes NOTHING. But the white pizza is AMAZING as is the sausage. White pizza - crispy. The crust is amazing here on any pizza but this hits it out of the park with the right amount of dough. The sauce is flavorful and delicious and I can't even think of anything bad to say. I want a piece as I write this lol. Sausage was also amazing. The slices I've had lean on the thinner side and I'm good with that. Their dough is fabulous and even the cat ate some (didn't even know that fool liked pizza!). The staff is always nice and helpful, and it's got a back east vibe inside. I like less than a handful of pizza joints but you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't stop by and at least try a slice.
