My camp is right next to Carmine's Pizza Kitchen and I decided that this place would be a great fit for our Friday night dinner. This is one of their few locations across the valley, this one being on Horizon Ridge and Carnegie. Do not confuse this Carmine's with another Italian restaurant of the same name that's inside The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace. When looking them up, make sure you add Pizza Kitchen to your search. We placed an order online to pick up, where we ordered a large Margherita pizza and a thing of garlic knots. They told us afterwards that it would be ready in about 10-15 minutes, and with this place fairly close to my house, we chose to pick it up about 5 minutes after placing our order. Our order ended up being ready for pick up right when we got there. The Margherita Pizza, which is one of those real Italian pizzas out there, was big enough to have as leftovers for lunch over the next day or two. The garlic knots, while a little on the messy side, had so much flavor to them. I think these were some of the best garlic knots we've ever had from a pizza joint yet. Once we ate them, the garlic flavor just completely burst inside of our mouths. And yes, some of the garlic knots I also saved ended up being leftovers as well. Carmine's was well worth trying out. You walk into the establishment and you instantly feel a sense of familiarity. The place reminds me of your usual Italian family-owned pizza restaurants from the east coast. You walk up to the counter and a nice lady takes your order and the pizza is ready in 20 minutes. Service is good. The place is inviting. We have been ordering from Carmines for years and have loved every order. Recently we were hosting a high school volleyball dinner and decided to order from Carmines catering menu. To say it was perfect is an understatement. From discussing how much we would need and ordering it with the most helpful staff... to picking up the order and them helping me to my car with all of the food- customer service was superb. The girls loved every bite of the pasta, chicken and salad and raved about how great it was. Recently decided to try this local pizza place. Ordered a slice with mushrooms and olives. When I opened the container to see the pizza I was shocked - it wasn't cooked ! It appeared as though handful of raw uncooked mushrooms and olives were just dumped onto the pizza bread, not cooked/ melted into the cheese whatsoever ! I showed it to the attending cashier and asked if this is normally how their pizza is served, "raw/uncooked toppings". She replied, yeah that's perfectly normal. Carmine's has good pizza. They only offer a limited number of sizes with the large being 18 inches, which is a little larger than what my wife and I want. Yes, we could buy a couple of their small sized pizzas, which turns out to be a little expensive. The crust is good. We would like a little more toppings, but what is presented is okay. I had a major craving for some pasta and most of the "Italian pasta" places for delivery charge you an arm and a leg for come fettuccini alfredo. Add chicken? Expect to pay a kidney. I saw Carmine's Pizza Kitchen had a lot of pasta options for a much better price and I decided to give them a try. Really glad I did!!! The pasta portions are huge! This explains why the menu has a "personal" size option. We don't mind though because we love leftovers. I tried the Rigatoni a la Carmine and they rest of my party had fettuccini alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs with pink sauce. The special pasta was awesome. I used to love getting this style when I lived in the Bronx so it was lovely to try this version. The mushroom were a nice added ingredient. The spaghetti and meatballs were awesome! The pink sauce has a great flavor and the meatballs are juicy and meaty. The fettuccini alfredo was ok. There wasn't enough sauce but the chicken we added was a great compliment. We decided we were never ordering from "big box" pizza places again after a long line of incorrect orders and poor quality so I am pretty excited to try the pizzas and some of the other items at Carmines! read more

Man this pizza is so good, I come in here a few times after work for the 7.99 2 slices and a drink. Even with a big appetite the 2 giant slices are more than enough to fill me up. Stopped by to see a friend on Saturday and decided to order some pizza while there. My friend ordered (through Yelp) the Carmines Special, two orders of wings (Buffalo) and an order of meatballs. The food was delivered within an hour and was still hot and fresh. I grabbed a slice of pizza and a few wings to try, starting with the wings. They were cooked perfectly, weren't greasy, didn't have breading on them and had just the right amount of hot sauce on them. I enjoyed the wings very much! The pizza was amazing too, the flavors of the toppings and the cheese were delicious, plenty of toppings! The crust was the star of the show for me. There was this slight salt taste to it, had nice and crunch, not burnt on the bottom and at a perfect thickness. Hand tossed for the win! The dough is thin crisps and chewy and the garlic fries are loaded with tons and tons of garlic which I love. Carmine sells whole pizzas or they sell them by the slice as well which is so awesome they have a great pizza and drink special for lunch.
