I had been to Good Pie in the arts district a couple of times. Really great pizza, great atmosphere, really good drinks, and just a great overall vibe. Was super excited to hear they had opened down the street from my house in Henderson. Went there on a Saturday night expecting it to be super packed, but we got there just in time before the rush started. Really easy to find this place and a shopping center, great signage, so you know you're not going to miss it. Plenty of parking and that works out great. The inside is really warm and inviting. It definitely has a pub type. Atmospheric, with plenty of tables to set up. Plus they have a full bar. Whether you want a slice or a full pie or a couple pizzas to go, this place definitely has you covered! We ordered a small pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni, and a couple of iced teas. It was great sitting there watching people filing in and out picking up their to-go orders. This place stays pretty busy, but they do not skimp on service! Our server was awesome. She was attentive, and not overbearing. The pie came out, and looked absolutely amazing. I got to tell you the crust is so good on this pizza, I ate the entire thing. Sometimes the crust is too much, but whatever they do to make it, it is definitely a finishing item. I had so many different things to see and try that. You could come back here multiple times and not have the same thing twice. Plus they have a happy hour special which is half off a slice of pie. Definitely have to go check that out. Bottom line? This place is awesome! If you like a good pizza like I do, it's pretty amazing. There are plenty of good places in Las Vegas to get a pizza, but this place hits all the boxes in taste, price, and atmosphere. Run, don't walk to this place immediately! read more

The name is accurate. Good Pie is a local pizzeria which pizzaiolo Vincent Rotolo started off in the Downtown area and eventually expanded to Henderson. That location ended up being the most convenient for my first real visit, several years after I first tried some of their pizza in pop-up-esque situation at a Super Bowl party event (and liked it, by the way). They say they do housemade iced tea and lemonade, so naturally they'll actually do an Arnold Palmer ($3.00). It was more tea-forward than other versions I've had but had enough lemon tartness and remained just refreshing enough. That's because the pizza I actually got was just a tad bit too salty to break into the top tier of local pizzas. I got a Detroit-style Shroom ($22.00 for the 8"x10" small size) and definitely liked the first few bites before the salt level hit a high plateau. The dough is chewy and has that great crispy cheese crust, the cheese is gooey, and the mushrooms and caramelized onions are portioned generously enough. Maybe I should've gone for a red sauce pie since my Yelp friend said the salt is lighter on that sauce? Music is fairly low volume and eclectic, with both ABBA and Savage Garden sticking out. Service is actually supposed to be dine-in unless you're doing takeout, and I tipped appropriately after realizing my oversight. If I'm craving pizza while in the St. Rose area or or feel like hitting up their happy hour (2-5pm daily, 1/2 off slices, some drink discounts), I'll definitely keep Good Pie in mind. I came in & Wow it definitely exceeded my expectations! There was only one server & it seems like she was also the bartender. She was great! Came for lunch at noon and it didn't look open. The lights were turned off and it was dark inside. Lights were never turned on and just made the ambiance blah. We ordered two cocktails that took about 15 minutes to get. They were very sweet. I ordered a small Cesar salad and we were brought two. My friend is allergic to romaine so couldn't eat it. I got the hot honey pizza and there was no hot honey on it. He got the grandma pepperoni and it was way over done. We had to call our server over to get another drink order in. We ordered two sangrias and they came in small martini glasses. These also took about 15 minutes to get to us. We figured we would order something easy but they had to be made. Honestly tasted more like juice than anything else. Our server did say she is new. Maybe she shouldn't have been alone. Super good pizza here. I like how the menu is simple and no fuss. There's a variety of options and then you can choose what pizza style you like. Ordering to-go is very easy. We like to get the Supreme Pizza in Brooklyn style which is a thin crust. Since we're already ordering garlic nots I don't want my pizza to be extra carbs and dough on top of the knots. That being said, the Sicilian style is extra thick crust and doughy. I've tried all of the styles and will mix it up depending on the day. This place is good! read more

I was greeted right away by the lady that was working the register and tables. The place was spacious with good lighting in the day. I asked about the differences in the pizzas and she explained them fast like she has to tell everyone everytime and when asking questions she was a bit snippy on her replies but she was fine afterwards and spoke in a better tone. She also told me I could check them out on Instagram, so I did while I was there to do some more research on my own about how they make their pizza and if there was a more in-depth showing on their Detroit style crust. I wasn't able to find any and wished they had a good video on showing how they do the Detroit one since I was most interested in that I'm not huge on pizzas anymore because I've had so many terrible ones in my life but I kept hearing about this place so now it was on my radar. I saw this place has another location downtown, across from my favorite and the only pizza place I vouch for in Vegas and probably anywhere in the world - Evel Pie! So I had to check it out to see how the competition stands up to it Just wanting to have a slice of pizza, there weren't many options - Just cheese and pepperoni in their different crust styles. So boring with plain cheese and I don't eat pork so pepperoni was out for me: Brooklyn - typical medium/thin New York style Grandma - thin and crispy Sicilian - thick, fluffy, airy with some chew They have No Detroit style crust available for the pizza slices. But is sounded the best with having a burnt cheese wall on the outside of the crust. Wished they had the Detroit style pizza by the slice to try! I guess they have a Grandma Detroit style crust also where it's thinner with the burnt cheese? Saw someone got it but not on the menu or explained anywhere. They also have an award winning gluten free crust. Again, I would have appreciated all these different kinds of crust to be by the slice so I could try them without getting a whole pizza since I do not eat pizza much at all anymore, even if it came out in just boring cheese with no toppings I got the Sicilian cheese pizza. It wasn't bad but for one slice that was a little thicker dough for $1 more over the other thinner slices which sets you at $7.31 for very little tomato sauce and thin layer of cheese but wasn't worth it in my opinion. A whole one is $25 but that is for a 10 x 14 with 6 slices and the pizza by the slice looked like the 8 x 10 smaller version because it had 4 slices. Not a good deal at all. I would have preferred a slice from the 10 x 14 with an adequate lower price point since the thick crust is filling. I did however liked the homemade ranch I think I'll stick to my favorite & more evil side and go with Evel Pie! We stopped in last weekend after cracking pizza and wanting to try somewhere new. The inside is quaint and inviting, and while most of the tables were taken, we were able to get a table right away. The original Good Pie in the art district is easily my fav New York style slice in the valley. So when they announced that they were opening up a second location down the street from our house we were super excited. But to be honest, this location is not nearly as good as the original location. It's still a great pizza but doesn't really compare to what I had expected The location itself is great for anyone in the seven hills area. It's in a quiet neighborhood strip mall that's not too busy and usual just has local residents in the area. They have tables inside and the service is nice for a dine in experience. I would still say this is one of the better pizza places in the area but not my favorite for takeout. The flavor is definitely better when you dine in so we usually only get Good Pie when we're in the mood to sit at the restaurant. If you love good pizza, you have to check out Good Pie! I've been a fan of the downtown location and made it in to the new Seven Hills location over the holidays to meet up with visiting friends. They do not take reservations but they were easily able to accommodate our group with six adults and two babies during weekend lunch, and our server was so kind - I unfortunately did not catch her name. You can order slices or takeout at the counter, or they have table service if you are dining in - the menu is a little overwhelming with several different crust styles, but staff are happy to explain Sicilian vs Grandma vs Detroit. They also have several vegan menu items here and are very accommodating. Surprisingly, all three couples got different Detroit pies. We also shared an order of fried ravioli for the table, as well as the house salad and a burrata caprese - even my daughter liked the tomatoes and balsamic. The pizza was solid, with crispy, cheesy edges. My husband found the sauce a touch bland, but I was impressed that the supreme (with both pepperoni and sausage) managed to not be salty, which I often experience elsewhere. Heads up that prices are a bit on the high side for whole pies, but correlate with the slice prices. For the ravioli, 4 slice Detroit and caprese was just under $70 with tax and tip, but quality is good and it was enough for two with leftovers. If I lived closer, I would likely be in often for slices. read more

Wow!!! Honestly the BEST pizza I ever had!! We've had red and white pizza here and both were so good. Im a thin Brooklyn style girl and my fiancée likes a thick crust. They have different styles so it worked out for us both. I LOVE their Brooklyn Quality Meats and the Shroom, but add Ricotta. My fiancée loved the Triple Pepperoni Detroit style Only thing is they are a little weird about making adjustments to your Specialty Pizza. Someone recommended to order a white pizza and add mushrooms and sent me a pic of their order... when I ordered the same they wouldn't let me.. saying they can't make adjustments to specialty pizzas...never heard of such a thing. Over all decent pizza and decent service. Pizza took about 35 minutes which felt a little long but I get it. Business is busy. Staff was attentive and cooperative. Environment was nice. It felt somewhere between Grimaldi and Rocco's. Into detail about the pizza (18" Brooklyn): Crust - good flavor/recipe. A bit under cooked, though the cheese was thoroughly cooked. I think the stone may not have been up to temp with the ambient temp of the oven before putting the pizza in. Cheese - good cook towards the edge of the pie, a bit greesy in the center. Decent mozzarella flavor. Cook might have been a bit heavy handed on the pecorino to the point where the pie was a little over whelming. Sauce - good, no complaints. Good ratio of crust, sauce and cheese. Very balanced. Pepperoni - I'm not a fan of the cups. I prefer deli style, but the cups had an interesting kick but the flavor kind of overwhelms the flavor profile of the pizza. Overall if you just want a good slice, it's solid, maybe just below the better places in Vegas. If you're looking to taste New York, this might not be the traditional flavor you're looking for, but it just about fits the other physical aspects of a NY slice. This is 100% my own opinion, but a few detail items could make this a top spot for me. read more

The good: the cheese pulls on the pizza were to die for. Pizza Rock did half off pizza today at green valley and when arrived they were on a two hour wait. I decided to go to my favorite pizza spot in all of Las Vegas sister location. It's a tad smaller with no bar vs the downtown location. Well decorated and nice and new very clean. We were promptly greeted and sat with no issues, the front of the house staff were on their game. We started with calamari and a small Caesar salad and two slices for my son. The breading on the calamari was falling off and it was warm at best . This mite have been the worst Caesar salad I have ever had, not even close to enough dressing and I appreciate house made croutons but if your the owner reading this go eat one, it's like a rock. They should be crunchy not break your teeth hard... 1/10 bad... I was praying the pizza would make up for it..... AND IT DID! The grandma shroom add sausage is my fav pizza in all of Las Vegas this is identical to the arts district it's thin with crisp but still fluffy just enough. The onions and mushrooms in every bite and the nice high quality not frozen crumbled sausage. Their ranch has dill in it a nice change of scenery. I would have given 3 stars but the pizza and service was that good, calamari was not great and a small Caesar salad on a small plate for $11 is quite embarrassing.
