    Bread pudding

The first time we ordered everything was so good. Goat Curry for the other two and fried chicken. I was disappointed they did not offer brown chicken stew which I've always gotten from other places. Today goat curry, jerk salmon and again I had to order fried chicken. Goat and salmon were good. Chicken was so crumbly, more like gram cracker crust and the flavor was off. Cole slaw - which was so good the first time was soggy and not good. We also ordered bread pudding. It would have been good if it wasn't so dry.

10 out of 10! Small Jamaican restaurant that didn't disappoint! Food was good! Good portion size too! Small venue, with only 4 tables or so inside, so most people seemed to order takeout.

The place was packed when I showed up with people waiting for takeout ! I never complain about that because it's a reflection of quality in my opinion. They weren't disorganized or frantic, the woman in the front was super friendly and nice! She was calling out numbers and assisting as needed. I got the oxtail with extra sauce. I love sauce so even with extra I wanted more! The food was good. And I'd definitely want to give it another try. The flavor was there, it was just missing "something". I was comparing it to another spot I been too so please keep that in mind. With all that said- i for sure will be back to give them another review :)

I am a restaurant guy. I owned restaurants for 20 something years. The food is amazing. The salmon was probably the best I've ever had. I am definitely a fan and I will be back.

    Jerk Chicken Pasta

I have been meaning to try some food from here and was finally able to. I ordered the jerk chicken pasta. The chicken was tender and not overcooked. The pasta was al dente. I do wish it had more of the pasta sauce. It took some mixing to get the bit of sauce at the bottom. I also wish I had Parmesan cheese on top. If there was any added I could barely tell. The jerk sauce on top of the chicken was sweet and savory but I was hoping for a spicy kick. With all this being said the meal as a whole was good. I am definitely interested in trying more dishes like the oxtail.

I have seen reviews of the food of this place so I had to come try it out while I was close by. I was attended by the staff in the front, she told me it was a 10 minute wait but it was ready in 5. The waiting area is nice, vibrant and clean. I ordered my food to go, still piping hot after driving home. The flavor was good, well seasoned and nice spice level. Overall I will definitely come back again!

Had the jerk chicken lunch special with rice and veggies--so delicious and full of flavor. Chef Reese's customer service is top-notch and the food never disappoints. I wish I lived closer for delivery, but it's always worth the drive. Highly recommend!

    Honey Garlic Salmon Pasta

I came in with really high expectations because I saw people on social media rave about how good the food was and I'm sad to say that I was disappointed. I ordered the honey garlic salmon pasta and the salmon was pretty good. It tasted kind of lemony but it was well seasoned and flavorful, and that was the only part of the meal that really had any taste. The pasta itself was pretty bland, it wasn't necessarily bad but it wasn't that good either. It filled me up but it's not something I would look forward to getting again. It wasn't too busy when I came in and my food came out in less than 20 minutes. The cashier was quick and friendly. Inside of the establishment there's nothing to look at except the cashier and the menu and there's limited seating.

After hearing great things, I finally visited Chef Reecee Kitchen, a popular spot for Jamaican cuisine. The restaurant was clean, has a bright and welcoming atmosphere, which complements its friendly customer service. Their menu offers Jamaican staples like oxtail, jerk chicken, fish, pasta, and wings, along with reasonable lunch specials. I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas, mac & cheese, and a Mango Passion natural juice. Here's my breakdown: *Rice and peas: Flavorful and well-cooked. Mac & cheese: Creamy, seasoned, and delicious--a pleasant surprise since many restaurants miss the mark here. Oxtail: While the flavor was spot-on, the meat wasn't as tender as I hoped, more on the harder side. Unfortunately, it was the same for my friend, so it might have been an off day. They portion however was good. The Mango Passion natural juice was refreshing and paired well with the meal. While I found the oxtail slightly pricey at $25.99, the overall experience was good. Since it's a 40-minute drive for me, I might not go out of my way to return but would definitely recommend it if you're in the area to try it for yourself or something else.

Fried snapper rice and peas Mac and cheese

Came here for the first time since I heard so much good reviews. I love fish so I choose the fried snapper macaroni and cheese and peas and rice. Let's start off with the macaroni and cheese it was creamy and cheezy not dry very good. The rice and peas were good the fish was fried to perfection juicy in the inside not dry. The service was great the young lady in the front checked on me since you have the option to use the kiosk. She also asked if I wanted sauce on my rice which I thought was great service as it did not have an option for me to do that on the kiosk. The establishment was clean and nice. You are able to sit inside the restaurant and it has some seating outside you can eat at. I will definitely be back to try the curry goat and ox tails and pasta.

As soon as we…read morewalked in, we noticed how beautiful the space is--very well laid out with a great overall vibe. Surprisingly, though, it was pretty quiet and almost empty for a Friday night. We grabbed seats at the bar, and the drinks were solid. We also tried the buffalo chicken dip--it was decent, not bad but nothing that really stood out. What stood out most was how slow the place felt throughout the night. The crowd never really picked up, which was a bit surprising given how nice the restaurant is. Hoping it finds its groove, because it definitely has the potential to be a great spot long-term.

I was with a large 10 people group and so I saw a lot of different plates- only took pictures of mine and my nearby neighbors... everyone agreed that what they ordered was on point. But on the other hand it took one hour and a half to get our table served ..: and that was a lot of time! We were chit chatting... and at one point I realized I was hungry: and no food. Finally the food came for almost everyone. Then one more was served. Then some sauces arrived... then we noticed one of our friends over at the corner was still not eating and no one had come to explain why! One lady from our table got up to call a waiter and ask that they had forgotten her food, and only then the manager came out to apologize and actually comped her order of ribs. Actually we thought at that point that was the right thing to do. So... I have to add that when the ribs walked past me: they smelled and looked delicious!! So there's that. Anyway: then desert time came and we noticed that some people at the other end of the table were already eating (and finishing) their deserts... and we had not even been asked if we wanted any! Whoa: in the end, one side of the table finished their desert, paid their checks and left, while the other side of the table had to stay behind and keep our friends who were just then served their desert company... which is why this service was unsatisfactory- at best. Let me end by saying that it was a Friday night, so don't come here on a busy Friday with a large group cause they may not be prepared to handle it... but do come for the food. I may return: those churros she ordered looked spectacular! Enjoy my mixed review. I tried to be fair.
