After speaking with a few chefs, we selected Chef Salvador because my father and I were impressed with his consultation. We were asked questions regarding her food preferences and were surprised to be sent multiple options characteristic of her taste. Salvador exceeded our expectations by creating an original menu featuring items we knew our mom would love. We chose a five-course meal featuring the following: Ceviche Short ribs with truffled mashed potatoes Duck breast with plum mole and cauliflower purée Spring salad with pomegranate, gorgonzola cheese, candied walnuts, and blood orange vinaigrette Buttercake with berry compote Chef Salvador and his team arrived several hours at my Mother's home in Huntington Beach before we expected our guest of honor. We were impressed with the team's professionalism, the preparation was orchestrated perfectly, and we worried about nothing the entire evening. My Mother and her guests loved every course, every bite, and still rave about the experience. From the initial consultation to the tidy clean-up, every interaction with Chef Peralta was first-class. In fact, we will be hiring him again for my sister-in-law's baby shower next month.

I notice a new cooking class called Marche @ Mitsuwa after reading it from the weekly flyer. I forgot about it and went there to get my Tokyo Ginza Rokumeikan jelly fix. I never had crack but this jelly was so addicting like crack. There was a new kitchen with 2 TVs on top and a giant announcement in front of it. Something about cooking class at 10 am, 2 pm and 5 pm for Saturday and Sunday. The menu was Chawanmushi for Saturday and Beef Minute Steak with Red Onion Sauce for Sunday. I asked the chef how much the cost of its cooking class and he said that it was a free demonstration. It was 4 pm so I thought I would just wait and take advantage of the free class. The class started on time and at first there were only a few of us. People started to gather around pretty quick. The recipe was very simple but it was interesting. He demonstrated step by step and xeroxed recipe was available for free. We even tasted the delicious beef steak after the class. I forgot the name of the chef but he was very funny and knowledgeable. He even showed us little tricks that would make cooking easier. This cooking class is great for both customers and Mitsuwa itself. Customers can learn new recipe and get the ingredients from Mitsuwa after class. The chef even let us know that one of the ingredients is on sale. I am sure Mitsuwa will get additional revenue at the market from this smart "demonstration" ;) "Learn it", "Try it", "Taste it". No signup needed.

With rotating cuisines, this particular week catered to Italian fare. My choices were the shrimp bruschetta, poached sole & panna cotta. Shrimp bruschetta- A large shrimp on top of bruschetta, placed squarely in a plate of fennel broth. The broth was an interesting take, as the bruschetta soaked it up & became slightly mushy/slightly crusty. Poached sole- A large fillet of sole, paired with carrots, asparagus and fennel. I could taste the sole was previously frozen, as I've caught & cooked sole, which is a fatty & flavorful fish. The fillet could've used more sauce. Panna cotta- A winner! The pulled sugar was fun to eat, providing a contrast in texture to the creamy panna cotta. Service was excellent. Located at Building V, parking is $2/all day at the adjacent structure on Clark & Carson. For a fair amount of a jaunt, free parking can be had at LBX. Wanna feel like a judge on Hell's Kitchen? Dining at LBCC Bistro is a great way to experience being a gourmet guinea pig. I look forward to booking again, soon.

He seemed extremely passionate in what he does! Giving a low rating just because of our experience with front desk staff. We come in super cordial just to be met with stank attitudes. A few weeks after our session, we called the place to follow up on our pieces and the woman on the phone sounded rude about us asking about it. We went to pick up our pieces recently and the woman at the front desk definitely sounded like the one we talked to on the phone, same voice and same unwelcoming attitude. As if our presence ruined her day or us picking up our pieces was such a drastic request for her to do.

Your $180 monthly membership does not include firing you glazed piece (that cast extra) and you will need to give a 30 day notice ( even though you will not be using the membership at all like in my case where I am unable to). I broke my finger 2 days after I started, so I could not use this membership for weeks in the beginning but did not complain. This was my problem. But... all together I have used the facility one time and then had personal issues that prevents me from using it now. I did not see the 30 day notice and am paying because I did sign it. It seems much like grifting. There is no downside for the studio (not using equipment so no wear and tear) except the loss of my monthly payment. Perhaps this sounds like sour grapes but I truly do not understand this extra month of payment besides they must think they need my money worse than I do.
