I waited a little while after they opened before I ordered from here so they could work out their "new business kinks". I had some friends over so we all shared what we got so we could try some of everything. Overall, it was good. I'm assuming they had a busy or just "off night when we ordered because I was placed on hold three times during the first call and waited over 15 minutes while my son called from his phone and finally got through while I was still on hold. It took an additional 50 minutes after we got there to get our food. That's on top of the 45 minutes they told us it would be ready. The server was really nice though. The chicken fried steak was better than a lot of places and the mashed potatoes were good, the green beans were just canned green beans, but were still good. The chicken strips were really good, but the mac and cheese was mediocre. The potato soup and cheddar bites were amazing and the burgers were juicy and delicious, although they forgot they honey mayo. The cheese fries were huge. We got a small and a large thinking that might be enough for everyone, but boy were we wrong. A small is one full styrofoam box and the large was TWO full boxes of cheese fries. There was plenty for everyone. The Philly cheese steak was easily in the top 5 of cheese steaks. I think they should give a side of honey butter to go with the croissants. There just isn't enough on them but I still love them. I was saddened with the monster cookie; it was dry and didn't have much flavor. read more

Usually have great experiences at this Cheddars but not today. Placed an order yo go, which was ready 30 minutes ago. Unfortunately because we used some gift cards and the cashier doesn't know how how to use them. Which is odd since we paid online with them. If we get our food in the next five minutes, we will get the opportunity to eat the food ONE HOUR after we ordered. The manager excuse was it's shift change, that's why it took an extra 30 minutes. Honestly I'd buy that excuse, accept 5 other cars have picked up their food with no delay. Following up, we arrived home, found we are missing several items. Let me note that there's was quite a few staff members on the floor and the restaurant was pretty slow. After ordering - we ordered salmon with different sides. Overall the food was mediocre, salmon was slightly over cooked and sides were pretty bad- cold green beans from a can. Our food took longer than what I had expected being how slow it was. I have been in pain all day. I placed an order for pick up. I arrived, I parked in a spot and it said check in via text... I didn't receive a text. I called the number and the phone just rung. I called back and it just rung again. I called the third time and someone finally picked up after it rang awhile. I was told they were finishing up and it would be out. Almost ten minutes later I haven't received my food. I went in to get it. (Meanwhile other customers are going in to get their food as well) I started eating and the dough from the shrimp was wet and wasn't completely cooked. I went in and was told it would be awhile before they could recook it because they were busy. I asked for a refund and still waited over 10 minutes for a manager. What was supposed to take less than ten minutes took over an hour. My other food got cold while I waited. The counter staff wasn't very accommodating. So this is my second time here and I think I have a good enough picture of how good this place is. Let's start with WAIT STAFF: I felt both times that the wait staff was very slow and forgetful. Simple things like my silver wear not being given. Not refilling drinks. Having to ask 2-3 times for something. It took so long to ever get anything both times I went. This place lacks in wait staff training. I feel this restaurant could loose customers simply based on this alone. PRICES: The food is great and well worth the price you pay. Everything tasted good. The prices are very reasonable. I have no issues in this area. I ordered a chocolate desert for $6 that was not only delicious but could feed 2 people with leftovers. FOOD: This time when we went in we had the queso with beef and the salsa with chips. It was just delicious! The cheese was so rich tasting and delicious. I wanted to drink it!! I've been twice same server each time It's always a good experience and the food is decent you don't go here to be wowed you go because it's cheap and decent food. They are in between a Chili's and a BJ's type a restaurant or if they were equal I would say this place is the Golden Corral in a world full of Furr's. But better than both, I hope that makes sense. I got the honey Dijon chicken the first time and croissants it was yummy. I also got a Maui margarita so good! It was my college favorite and I was happy that 7 years later still the same drink. There was no apology, no offer for a free app or anything. They just took us to the back of the restaurant and sat us in what was obviously a table meant for a family of six, even though there were several tables for two open and a whole host of large families waiting for tables outside. Yikes. Turns out the table wasn't even clean. They made us stand there awkwardly, dodging harried servers, while they found someone to clear the table. We should have left at this point. So we've been waiting over an hour; we know what we want to order. Turns out the dish I wanted (Monte Cristo) was completely sold out. Because it was their most popular dish, our server said, grinning at us like it was something to be proud of. Sold out at 5pm. Not like this was an hour before close or anything. Husband ordered a beer. They were also out of the beer he wanted. Not surprised. We order. Wait. Drinks arrive. Wait. Our server informs us that the kitchen is busy--he has "no idea what's going on back there, hahaha!" Manger comes by to offer us a croissant (?!??) while we wait. We just want to leave. I've always been a fan of this chain and when they put one in close to home I had to give it a try! We went on a Saturday evening and surprisingly there wasn't a wait. Our waitress (Ann) was very friendly and attentive to us. I ordered Baja chicken with a side Caesar salad. It was on the lighter portion menu. Our salads seemed to take a long time and arrived only a couple of minutes before our entrees. My entree was a decent size and very flavorful. My husband had the chicken tenders with Mac and cheese. Last night will be the last time I visit the Yukon Location. The server did not bring out our drinks for 15 minutes. The food took another 45 minutes and the place was not very busy. The server did nothing to keep us happy until the food was ready and pretty much acted like it was no big deal. When the food did come out the steak my BF ordered was cold and the mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. They did comp 2 of our meals but the manager did not seem like she cared on bit. They were nice, seriously laid back to the point that it was like they could care less if the place stayed open or not. NO one took any pride in their job. It is just sad. I just had takeout from Cheddar's tonight and got the Maple Bacon Chicken sandwich. I have to admit... That was the best chicken sandwich I've had in a long time. The restaurant has friendly service and a decent atmosphere, unfortunately if your food isn't A1, I'm not going to continue paying my hard earned money for it. Perhaps I just ordered wrong but I've been disappointed with the quality of food. The place is clean and the staff is quite polite so if you can find a 'home run' on their menu then go for it, but in my opinion the menu is too large leading to poor quality of lots of different types of food. This location was absolutely horrible! It was my first time eating here. I had ribs and steak. The ribs were extremely dry, as was the steak. I asked for it cooked medium. It was medium in some spots. The broccoli cheese casserole was good...as usual. My husband had a full rack of ribs, same thing...dry as all get out. Barely any sauce. My kiddo had the kids burger...dry little soak of meat with a sad piece of cheese that wasn't even melted. I have a thing about sending food back...I simply don't do it.
