I've been here before and I find there drinks to be a little on the sweeter side so I normally get 50% sweetness which I would definitely recommend if you don't have a crazy sweet tooth. I also got the Crab Rangoons and omg they were so good. I love crab Rangoons they're my favorite appetizer and the ones from here were so delicious. A lot of places the bottom is normally a little thin and flimsy, but the ones here were crispy all around and had a good green onion and cream cheese flavor. 10/10 and worth facing the traffic on Garth Brooks. read more

Just moved here from the east coast and I was in the mood for some Chinese food. This place had great reviews, so I decided to try it. Soup dumplings were delicious (though not much broth inside of them), egg drop soup was salty but tasty. My main dish was Kung Pao chicken, it had a bitter taste of dried red peppers and lacked any other flavor, and there was very few peanuts in it. And I thought for the price it was a small portion. Definitely would go back for the soup dumplings and egg drop soup. But will never order Kung Pao Chicken again. read more

Came here while in the area, first time and we really enjoyed it. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, friendly conversation. Wife had Thai tea with bobo, she really enjoyed it and more bobo than other places. Wife and I shared large bowl of egg drop soup, which I recommend ordering the large bowl, as you get about 5 small cups. The soup was great, not watered down. Wife had the General Tso Chicken with fried rice. The flavor was wonderful and not overly spicy but enough to let the pallet enjoy the sauce. I had the broccoli and beef which was great, had plenty of sauce, fresh veggies and tender meat. The fried rice was delicious and moist. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Awful tea. I asked for a Thai iced tea, and this place makes it with half and half. Just not right - traditionally it's made with sweetened condensed milk. I tasted it and told the young man behind the counter that it was gross and I didn't want it...he replied "ok". Never an offer of a different drink, or a refund. We discovered this place by chance on yelp and placed an order for a large party back in December. We have ordered from them many times since and each time it has been incredible! Great prices, great options, and great service. Everything has always been ready on time and super flavorful. People who have lived in OKC for years and years in our family always ask us about this place because apparently not many know about it! Our favorite from Tao Cha are the steamed dumplings! Pan fried dumplings, lo mein, fried wonton has so much flavor, the egg drop soup was the best I have had in Oklahoma! Fried rice was flavorful with plenty of veggies and EGG...my favorite! Perfectly serviceable Chinese food for a reasonable price, how can you miss? Right now they're only doing carry out, but I could tell that the restaurant is going for kind of a hipster vibe for how they've got it set up. We were passing through town on an overnighter, so the carry out aspect didn't bother me at all. My brother and I both went with the orange chicken and found it to be delicious. Nice delicate cuts of chicken and not too greasy. The staff was very friendly, and did a good job of making sure they had our order right. Girls night landed us at Tao Cha to knock out some Chinese food cravings! We got more than that though, we definitely found us a new tea place, possible addiction alert!!! On this fine dining evening I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken with Fried rice and spilt the Pan Fried Dumplings with my friend. I can be honest I am not well versed with all things Chinese food. So I took the waitresses recommendation and ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. The recommendation was good, especially if you like peanuts! It is definitely heavy on the peanut side in this dish, but I love the extra crunch it gives! The Dumplings were delish, the sauce that came with them truly makes the dish!! Tao Cha is back! Used to be one of my favorite study spots in Yukon and its been gone for close to a year now? Was definitely not expecting it to come back, just because I've never seen a place I like that closes rise from the ashes in this dog eat dog world. Tao Phoenix has a nice ring to it....I digress. Anyway, it's back AND upgraded! The amount of space is the same, but the interior decor has been updated with a much warmer feel and nice wood accents. They also offer food now, in addition to drinks and there are 3 rows of tables in addition to the old booths lining the walls. Got the Angel Falls Mist hot tea which came in a glass teapot and was sufficient for multiple cups and tried the pan fried pork dumplings as an appetizer to snack on. Both were enjoyable. Stayed for a couple hours to get some work done and was able to with ease. Will definitely have to try the entrees next time. Welcome back Tao Cha, Yukon needs you. read more

Stayed in the hotel across the street and decided to go get a Thai tea. 2 teas one at 50% sweetness and one 100% the verdict is these are some of the best teas in the Midwest. Got a Thai Tea recently. The Thai Tea was reasonably priced. $3.00(ish). It (the Thai Tea) was also delicious. The customer service is good. Quiet. But good. There's a lot of room inside and it was relatively empty. Approximately a dozen of us showed up at the same time and we were all able to grab seats easily. Or this was the case for a Sunday afternoon, at least. Okbai. P. S. They didn't charge me extra when I said light ice. When Tao Cha announced that they were closing for a few months to reopen as a restaurant, most everybody I knew was disappointed. Very rarely do people like change when things are pretty much perfect, but I think I can say for myself that this change was definitely for the better. Boba teas and most other drinks are always good. Fair prices and sizes as well. Now, add that with affordable food and large quantities, it's hard to beat. I was extremely impressed with how tasty the food is along with how quick they get everything out. The Sesame Chicken wasn't as crunchy as I'd like the first time, but tasted great the second. Fried rice is super close to how I like it, crab rangoons are large and tasty, although a little too sweet for my liking, and the Takoyaki was a pretty great deal and tasted close to how I've had it at other areas. Service has been great every visit as well and I always look forward to visiting. UPDATE (Because I don't like the actual update option on Yelp) - this place continues to wow me. My friends and I have tried so many items on the menu and most everything we've had is better than expected. Even their chicken nuggets looked and tasted great. The portion sizes are massive too. I've been a regular here ever since they reopened. The space is modern, open, and inviting. I love the string lights they put around the huge menu on the wall. The atmosphere is calm and quiet. A great place to study due to the large tables. I'M OBSESSED WITH THEIR ROSE MILK GREEN TEA. I usually get it with boba. I've had a few rose milk teas from a few places in OK and TX, but this one is by far my favorite. The taste is refreshing, unique, and addicting!! The floral fragrance is light, but definitely noticeable. I probably have an unhealthy addiction, but I can't help it. Their milk green tea and Pink Lady is good as well. I personally don't like the pudding here. If you're a fan of honeydew, my boyfriend loves the honeydew smoothie. The food is something I haven't explored much of, but I've had a few appetizers. The takoyaki is decent here and the fried dumplings are okay. They have very interesting drinks on the menu that look fun to try. I have brought countless friends from OK and TX here, and they love the drinks. SO... if it's your first time here or you can't decide what to get, GO FOR THE ROSE MILK GREEN TEA WITH BOBA!! Tao Cha is back! After almost a year of being closed, they are back in business. Not only that, but they are fully renovated with food options on their menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the aesthetic. A very clean, modern, yet simple feel. I was also really excited for the food. I really wanted to like it (I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice) but have to say I wasn't too impressed. Maybe I'll have to try something else? I do think I'll just stick to the drink options though, because I don't think they can ever go wrong with those! Overall, I loved the feel + design of the place.
