Let me start off by saying Oklahoma City isn't quite known for its Asian cuisine. However, the…read moreAsian cuisine has improved over the years. Big Boss Noodle is certainly a spot that may be one of the better Chinese noodle spots in OKC, but also expectations should be tempered a bit if coming from out of town. I came here a few times to try a few different dishes. Ubering gets a bit confusing because the location and sign are towards the side of a plaza, so it's not altogether obvious when driving by. There's plenty of parking though for those who drive there. For the menu, you choose what flavor and what type of noodles. The noodles do come out pretty fresh, so this is nice. There's also a self-serve area to get different condiments for your noodle soup such as different hot sauces, chili oils, perhaps some pickled veggies. This is also good to have. As a fan of intestine noodles, I ordered this the first time I got to Big Boss. It was satisfying! Solid. But for anyone that knows me, I take a lot of stock in a place's beef noodle soup. The next time I went, I tried the braised beef noodle soup. The meat cut was not what I'm used to, the broth is not dark and flavorful as what I'm accustomed to, it was still solid and got the job done and the noodles were fine, but yes this particular dish I'm likely never to order again in future visits - not Big Boss' strength. To be clear, yes I know beef noodle soup can have clear broth. It's just not my thing. And the meat quality wasn't the best, in my humble opinion. I didn't order the bubble teas here because I've learned that usually restaurants that specialize more in the food side of things typically don't have the best bubble teas, so that part I didn't and won't be trying here. Service was fast and friendly. It's super laid-back here, nothing fancy. Verdict? Solid, not spectacular, gets the job done and is in my rotation if you need an Asian noodle fix in Oklahoma City.

I am sad to say that I won't be returning to this once beloved noodle house. I feel like I am being…read morelied to because the sign and the menu still say Big Boss Noodle &Tea but the noodles and tea taste so differently. The receipt now states Chuan Min Noodle House. My favorite braised beef noodle soup tasted okay. The broth and the hand pulled noodles tasted similarly. The portion size was larger and there was an egg in the soup now. However, the braised beef was nothing like before. I didn't care for them at all. The charcoal milk tea tasted watery unlike anything from Big Boss. The huge straw just sucked up all the air in the cup. Straw and cup seemed to be mismatched. This is no longer Big Boss Noodle and Tea. They really should be upfront about it and change all the signs and previous supplies with the name on it. What I got today was not Big Boss Noodle and Tea but instead Chuan Min Noodle House, which I didn't care for. Good luck with the new establishment in the future.

It's inviting and so unique and fun! I wore some bright colors for a good contrast in pictures. When you walk in they have a huge menu screen on the wall plus they will give you a laminated menu to hold and look at. They also have pictures of some of the dishes next to the register. As a filet mignon lover I naturally went for the "pho-let". I also ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. I was given a number and found a seat along the wall featuring all the planets. Everywhere you look is something fun and quirky. Even the drink dispenser is only black and white! It was cool to see the well known drink logos in b&w. I also really loved the bowl of pho and drink characters holding hands throughout the place. After a short time the egg rolls arrived at the table with a glistening cheesy sauce on the side. The crunch was amazing and the meat inside was quality! Nicely chopped with a great chew. The sauce had the peppers in it and had a kick of spice as well. Awesome snack! Then the pho arrived and it was glorious! A generous serving of filet lay across the top and the server asks you how's you like it cooked and then pours the broth over top accordingly. I couldn't stop watching as the steaming broth filled the bowl. Perfect for a gloomy day. The first bite was everything I expected and more! Tender filet, perfect noodles, all the accouterments and that broth that was seasoned to perfection. Multiple times my table was checked on and the server even brought out extra goodies like sprouts, basil and limes. I was so content. I couldn't finish the ginormous serving so I grabbed a to go bowl conveniently located near the drink dispenser. I will definitely be back and I will be telling and bringing everyone I know. They had signs out for BOGO deals and specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Thank you Twenty Pho Hour for exceeding my expectations! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

The pho was delicious and included large portions of noodles and steak. I do feel like paying $14 for a bowl is a little steep considering we didn't add anything extra to it. The boba drink was over $7 as well and I got the dragon berry but the flavor was lemonade ish. Not worth the price really. There are many other pho places where you can get just as good quality of food for less. That being said, I do think you pay more for the ambience and esthetic which is cute.

The Thai Red Curry Beef had great flavor but a little too hot for me and I normally don't have an issue eating curry. I think next time I will ask for a little less heat than their norm. The Chicken Pad Thai was standard but I appreciated they served the peanuts on the side so they stayed crunchy until we got the food and ate. It is a repeat. We also had the Thai Beef with no spice and it was perfect as you had flavor not overwhelmed by heat. Then we also ordered the Drunken Noodles where the freshness of the flavors were very noticeable and enhanced the meal. A definite again meal. Lastly we had their Vegetable Spring Rolls(4) and they were scrumptious. Not over cooked crispy. It was just right and with a side of sauce made the food yummy. I could have made a meal on them alone. For Thai food it was flavorful, great proportions for the cost. We will go back but next time in person where I can reduce the heat from their norm.

The bamboo stir fry had a ton of flavor -- fresh vegetables, good spice, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. You could tell everything was made fresh and not sitting around. The spring rolls were great too -- really crispy without being greasy, and the filling tasted fresh. The dipping sauce was solid, not overly sweet like some places. The Tom Yum noodle soup was packed with flavor. Good heat, good sourness, and the noodles still had some bite instead of being overcooked. Service was fast, the place was clean, and the staff was friendly. Prices were fair for the quality. Definitely one of the better Thai spots in the OKC area -- we'll be back.

The dish (Pad Kee Mao/ Drunken Noodles) can vary slightly between restaurants, but I'm looking for the crispness of the veggies, the flavors, overall freshness and textures that I like. This time, the flavors were good, but the veggies and noodles were slightly overdone. Not bad, but not what I crave. We arrived around 5:30 and were the only dine-in customers. We had to ask about the tea we ordered as it had been a while since we ordered. I wonder if take-out orders are prioritized. The server was polite and provided spice condiments when requested. The restaurant was neat and clean. Commercial art adorns the walls but is not overdone.
