Went there tonight for dinner. Delicious meal. Portions were kinda on the large size. Excellent service. Thumbs up for service, food, and price.

It was My birthday yesterday so of course hubby surprised me with lunch from one of my fave restaurants! I'm having to be on a dairy free/soy free diet and the menu doesn't really specify either allergy, so I had to make my best guess this trip. Normally I'm a sucker for the Monte Cristo. This trip I ordered the lemon pepper chicken (it's grilled so I figured I was safe with no breading), sweet baby carrots and green beans. The croissants came out hot and I KNOW it wasn't the right thing to do but I devoured a whole one, SO stinking delicious. I'll pay for it later, but I'm not scared haha. Our server was Courtney, I told her I would give her a shoutout! Great service girl!! Keep up the service with a smile (I know you were exhausted though, you had ALOT going on and yet still managed to take care of refills). A++

The food reminds me of someone's grandma making homemade things from scratch, real nice honey touch. The service was a little iffy, I was talking to my friend about her mom and the waiter comes over and says, "I like moms"... keep in mind he looked in his 20s. Idk. Weird. The restaurant was very nice but a little squished in the seating area. Overall food was great! But the service wasn't.

I am sorry to amend my ratings. We quit going to Cheddars for five years as we could not get waited on and did not even have a glass of water after 20 mins. We tried them again and it was very good and have been going fine in and out. Friday at 545 was our scheduled pick up time. It was 15 mins before we got our food and we were there at 530. The food was stone cold. The few tenders were for combo ribs cold and tough. Cheese on broccoli casserole so cold it had hardened into a clump. Carrots were floating on cold water. French fries on my husband's plate were cold and burnt. Shrimp MIGHT have been ok other than cold shrimp is cocktail shrimp not fried. Everything on all 3 plates were cold. The portions of everything scant Honey butter croissants I had asked for extra honey butter, barely had any on it. They were not only cold but stale. I mean dry in the middle stale. And after shelling out a little over $90 there should be good food and reasonable portions. The only thing positive I can say is that the portions were so bad you didn't want to eat

This is probably one of the most "love-hate" establishments in Central Texas. Sometimes, it's one of the best places to eat and enjoy a night out. Other times, it will quite literally ruin your afternoon. I've been going to this particular Cheddar's since I was a kid (when it was a 'Casual Cafe'), and it's always been this way. Our most recent trip was delightful! Fresh brewed tea, amazing Spinach Dip with extra chips, and our two entrees knocked the whole meal out of the park. We ordered the 6 oz. Sirloin with a Caesar Salad and Mashed Potatoes and the Cajun Pasta. Both were seasoned to absolute perfection and came out hot and fresh super fast! Our waitress was so amazing and very accommodating as well. This was one of many pleasant experiences we've had, but this is also a warning that you may get the short straw and suffer one of their many 1 star experiences.

The amazing hostess let us sit and order even though the kitchen was about to close in 3 minutes. Amazing staff! Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was super crispy and HUGE. Would return soon!

    Happy Hour, anyone?

Today we had a server named Jean, she was very sweet, observant, and asked if we needed something every time she passed by our table.

That's why I was genuinely disappointed to find out that the chicken Caesar sandwich has been removed from the menu. It might seem like a small change, but for regular customers like me, that sandwich was a standout item and one of the main reasons I kept coming back. It had a great balance of flavor and felt like a reliable go-to every time. Taking it off the menu without a comparable replacement feels like a missed opportunity and, honestly, a bit frustrating. I completely understand that menus evolve and restaurants need to make changes, but it would mean a lot to see fan-favorite items like this either return or be replaced with something similar. Milo's still has a lot going for it, which is why this change stands out even more. Hoping this feedback is taken in the spirit it's intended--supportive, but coming from a very disappointed regular.

In particular the deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts caught my eye, unfortunately the latter was sold out so I went with the sweet potato Both dishes I had were really good! The candied bacon paired really nicely with the creamy deviled egg, the hot sauce vinaigrette didn't add too much flavor, but honestly adding a significant amount of heat would've probably taken away from an already very tasty dish. The baked sweet potato on the other hand had a nice dose of heat from the Calabrian honey vinaigrette, the sweet heat combo worked really, I'm surprised I'd never come across a spicy sweet potato dish before, but I'll definitely have my eye out for it in the future Overall I had a very good experience and will definitely be back for future rest stop meals between Austin and Dallas!

The staff are always friendly and the food here is amazing!! We came back last Friday to celebrate my birthday. I was so happy to find out that they now take reservations using the Open Table app. It was super easy to use and I booked my reservation a few weeks prior to getting into Waco. We were greeted by the friendly hostess who seated us promptly since we had reservations. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and my husband ordered the farm breakfast. We ordered the kids breakfast for our 3 year old which came with pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. We also ordered a side of biscuits with strawberry jam. We got our food hot and made fresh to order. The croissant sandwich was filling and delicious. The croissant was super fluffy and light. Everything was perfect!!! Our son told us that he loved his pancakes. Our waiter came by frequently to check on us and make sure everything was made to our liking. 10/10 recommend for their high quality service and food. We will be sure to continue to keep coming back again and again whenever we're in Waco.

There are lots of tables and the atmosphere is open and welcoming. After my meal I went to the take away area and got the lemon lavender donut holes to take home to the husband. We got the banana pudding meringue and absolutely demolished it. It's said to be one of the owner's mother's recipes. The atmosphere has a clean 1950s vibe with retro decor and vintage car parts everywhere, which was pretty fun and different. Our server, Cindy, was super friendly and gave great recommendations.
