I love salads so I thought I would give Panera a chance and I ordered their BLT salad. I was very disappointed to see the size of the salad for what I paid for it. I have gone to sit down restaurants and fancy restaurants and they've had salads a lot bigger than what I purchased at Panera bread for a lot less. I've never had a problem with Panera. The food is always good. Today I went and i ordered the broccoli cheddar soup. Usually when i get it delivered, it comes with a baguette slice so i asked for one. The only real positive is the cashier at the front Josey. She was friendly. She gets the stars. I ordered 1/2 Napa chicken salad sandwich and cup of 10 vegetable soup. It took 22 minutes to get buzzed for my meal. The soup was fine. Plain veggie soup...nothing noteworthy. The sandwich was a complete disappointment. There was an unusually large amount of lettuce, two thin tomato slices and a teeny tiny amount of chicken salad. Seriously....the amount of chicken salad filled the small soup spoon 2 & 1/4 times. $5 for that small amount of meat. So disappointing. It was basically a lettuce sandwich. I asked about and was told it's a premeasured scoop for the chicken salad. So they're basically screwing over everyone who orders this 1/2 sandwich. I don't expect a 1/2 pound of meat but enough to spread a layer across the bread at a minimum is expected. Over $12 for a lettuce sandwich, vegetable soup and a tea. Hmmmm...wonder why the Panera in my town closed down. Lucky this one is in a college town....lots of students studying here. read more

Unbelievably slow. I thought by placing my order online I could get in and out. Literally 30 min sitting in line for 3 cars in the drive through for 35 minutes and once your in the drive way you can't escape due to design of the great thank you driveway. All I wanted to get was my dozen of bagels and get to work. if you place an order, they should not give you the option to go through the drive-through , go to the parking stations where they'll bring it out to you or go inside. read more

We walked in on our trip back up to DFW. Stood at the registers, an uncomfortable amount of time. People asked to go around us to use the kiosk. We waited and then gave up to then use the kiosk. Placing the orders was rather easy and a delightful woman came and brought us our food quickly. A very surprisingly pleasant lunch and definitely recommend. I had a bacon avocado melt with some broccoli cheese soup. The sandwich was fresh & warm and the soup was hot. Simple, quick, easy.

The whole restaurant smelled like they used the same mop in the bathroom on all the floors. The smell was so strong that I had to sit outside but all the chairs were broken from sun damage. I could also see them making my sandwich while watching a basketball game on their phone while ALSO cross contaminating the knifes WITHOUT cleaning them. This Panera location did not feel clean at all, and I would not recommend coming here. read more

I know that they have a drive thru, hopefully they are faster than what we experienced inside. When we got to the register to order they said there were no tables available and were Turkey and Bacon Sandwich was good size with a generous amount if turkey meat. If I was reviewing this on service it would kill them with a zero, although the food was good and generous. I know that they got a major rush the Sunday before Baylor started and after church so I can give some slack. read more

We stopped at Panera in Waco to get 2 salads to go to eat on the road. We opted to go inside rather than the drive thru because the line was so long! Little did we know that the situation was even worse inside! We waited for 45 minutes along with everyone else in line. What a disappointment-Especially for people who are looking for quality food at a place that claims "Rapid pick-up." We love Panera Bread and stopped in while in Waco. Both chose the Pick Two of Soup and half Sandwich option. I always go through the drive thru so didn't know they had little fast order options via a computer inside. Cool feature for those in a rush. We ordered the traditional way and dined in. Very good French Onion and Baked Potato Soup and I had the Turkey BLT with Avocado. Hubs had the Chicken Salad which he loves. We're from Dallas and we love Panera especially now that they deliver too. We were driving through Waco and looking for a place to stop and eat and we hate fast food so we said to each other "it would be awesome if there was a Panera Bread around here" and then all the sudden we saw the sign!! It was awesome. We pulled in on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty crowded but it was also during spring break. I got my usual. The french onion soup, grilled cheese and a dr.pepper. It was delish!! I like to dip the grilled cheese into the french onion soup it's so good. I will say that their french onion soup here is better than my go to Panera in Dallas but the grilled cheese in Dallas is better than here but they were still great. Their pastry selections are better than the one in Dallas too. When we come through Waco again we know we have our spot to go to! read more

I come here pretty often but I do have to make a comment about today's visit. I ordered a bagel through their kiosk system and it took a very long time to come to my table. And when it came it was just a plain bagel on a plate it wasn't even cut. The girl was really nice enough to ask if I wanted it cut or toasted and I said yes I didn't know how to do it on the kiosk. She took it back and then it took forever for it to come back toasted and cut. And when she brought it back it was burnt. I took it back to the counter and told them that it was burnt and I didn't want to bother with The Bagel anymore so I asked to replace it with a muffin. The girl gave me a muffin but she was very rude about it. I was very unfortunate that the service was so bad today and it wasn't even crowded. read more

I love that Panera always has fresh ingredients and the service is always friendly for most locations that I have visited across the country. I had to give this particular location 2 stars because their was a hair in my salad today about 8 inches long. I took it back and I appreciate them apologizing and making a new salad. However, I couldn't help but realize that the three men working in the kitchen preparing meals all had shoulder length hair and not wearing any type of hair net that could block hair that breaks or falls out. I really hope that management works to fix this... and I recommend checking your food right away if you are a customer. read more

I love panera. I will preface this whole thing by making it clear that I've never had a bad experience with food tasting bad here. Food has historically been on par with any other location. However. Here's a story for ya. Online hours stated they closed at 10, so I made an online order in the panera app, paid and headed over to pick it up at around 9:05. To my surprise, the door was locked when I got there- just under an hour before the app said they closed. I politely knocked on the door. The employees pretended not to see me. I kept knocking until a young man came over. He wouldn't let me in, just told me through the door they were closed. When I explained that I'd already paid online, he left me outside (it was cold.) and went to go get a manager. I probably stood out there another five minutes alone in the dark. Ps- This isn't the best part of town. It was very weird to be treated this way. The manager came to the door and gave me a receipt showing me that she'd refunded my card. Gee thanks. Would've been really great to have gotten, I don't know, anything for my time and the inconvenience. (I do not live close to this location.) Even a sincere apology from her would've been nice. The worker who had helped me previously kept apologizing because he could see how unhappy I was, but the manager did not seem to care. She just wanted out of there. Will NOT be back. Will not recommend to any friends. I can get my $7 soup elsewhere. Try McAlisters around the corner. Same food choices, better tea and always friendly. read more

Not sure why there is a low rating here. Staff is very friendly and offer great suggestions on what to eat, they also give helpful insight to what is in the food. The seating is open concept, even around lunch time which is mainly when my wife and I go to eat there, the lines move quickly and the wait stuff clean your tables rapidly, to ensure there are ready tables available at all times. There are so outside tables if you want to sit outside as well, they have a deserts and wide variety of soups, salads, sandwiches and flatbreads. I love this panera. I regularly study here for many hours at a time. The food is good and the staff is great. Honestly, y'all, they'll take care of you here. On multiple occasions they have given me free baked goods, usually just because I look like I've had a long day or I've been in there for a while. It makes my day. It's the perfect atmosphere to focus and the booths are so cozy. The points system is really good, and the kiosks and app make ordering so fast. Panera is amazing, especially the chicken torillini pasta!!! But they really screwed you over if you ever order the chicken tortilla soup. No flavor.... well besides lime. Not sure where to start with this review. I have usually had a good experience here. We walk in and every table in the place is dirty. Ordered a sandwich and chips. They are out of chips at noon on a Saturday? Offered to replace the chips with a kid's yogurt or an extra pickle. Also order one of the new flatbreads. The order came out and the sandwich was completely wrong. The flatbread was ice cold and looked like it was made the day before. All and all, a very disappointing experience. read more
