It's good taste except the dryness on the chicken of Alfredo the customer service was good aswell

After an extremely long and exhausting 10 days my fiancé and I just wanted a good quality meal. The service our bartender Taylor gave was 100% spot on. The cooks nailed both of our meals. Today's lunch stop. Beat the lunch rush, and greeted and seated right away. Waitress was super attentive and answered this Cheddars noob questions with a smile on her face. AND she kept it up the entire time we were there. Got the Chicken pot pie, which was excellent. Salad that came with it had a bit too much dressing on it for me, but i should've asked for it on the side. Peach tea was on point. And damn! Those croissants.......winner! Traveling home from Kansas City and decided to stop in St. Joe for dinner. We had a party of 11. I was told they could not sit us together. I was not happy about it but accepted her answer. As we were being seated, I noticed that there were a bunch of empty tables, I asked why they could not put them together for us. I was told no they can't there was not a server in that section. However, there were people seated in that section. I asked for a manager. When the manager came to talk to me, I explained that we were there to have dinner as a family and would like to sit together, he again told me the same thing. When I told him that I thought this was ridiculous he looked at me and said I think I will just refuse service to you. I have never been refused service, makes me feel like there was something more to it. Or they were just plain lazy and did not want our business. Very unfortunate that your restaurant cannot accommodate family's. The restaurant next door was happy to have us. I love Cheader's but will never spend one more cent there. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. They have the lights shunting right in your face when trying to eat a meal, and even when asking the manager to adjust the light--which you can do with your hand, he still refused to do anything. When I talked to him he said nothing. Didn't even apologize. I will be calling their corporate office. They don't know how to treat customers. read more

My wife really liked this place. They had some healthy choices. We got the salmon with broccoli. We were visiting in Missouri, and wanted to eat somewhere somewhat healthy. We went back a second time with my family and had a nice patio seat outside. Will come back next time we visit. read more

Decent pricing, good food but the silverware was disgustingly filthy. Even the replacement the server brought was covered in food particles and slime. This is a management issue and will prevent my return. This cannot be justified but can be fixed. read more

Do not expect to bring parties of 8 or more to this place. The largest table they have seats 8 and that would be 6 adults and 2 children based on space. We only discovered this after our party of 9 adults was jammed into a small corner table. The manager was quite polite telling us this was the largest table they have, well basically it was like take it or leave it. Glad we are here for him and not the other way around. We just left cheddars from the North belt location after taking a few bites we decided not to return for a favorite fish and fries the fish looked as if it had been cut in half it was very skimpy and slim long John silver's in Captain D's fish is thicker than this we waited 30 minutes for a order in an empty restaurant and my spaghetti/lasagna dish was very heavy on the cheese lukewarm inside they should've called it mozzarella baked with meat sauce I had ordered my tea with mango syrup and I asked for a small amount of syrup it came back tasting like a glass of syrup so the waitress looking perturbed went back to get me another glass which I waited 10 minutes for and it came back with no flavoring except for a sliced orange.When the manager arrived at our table he was adamant that the fish was the same but we come in here frequently to order the fish meal and it was at least an inch thinner than the ones we always get and he insisted that the spaghetti was a cheesy dish. He offered to make us New meals but we declined because we would have to wait another 30 minutes I've worked in the restaurant business and we were taught the customer was always right we didn't stand there and argue with them about the quality of the food. read more

It was really good food! I ordered a half rack of ribs and it was tender and juicy and the bbq sauce was delicious. I had a peach lemonade and a mango lemonade with desert for my birthday dinner last year. Excellent service with friendly and happy waitresses. The atmosphere and the place was just awesome. My wife and daughter and I went for an early dinner. The staff was nice and very responsive. The food was "feel good food". I ordered the chicken tenders which were actually crispy like they are supposed to be! My daughter enjoyed the chicken fettuccine and the grilled salmon was perfect for the wife. Cheddar's is one of the few chain restaurants where I'll eat. I've eaten is the St. Joe location about half a dozen times. I can recommend the Asian salad, grilled salmon and fish tacos (fried). There's a good selection of draft and bottled beer. Service is friendly and prompt, and I've never waited more than 10 minutes for a table. The price point is extremely reasonable. read more

The food was amazing. I didn't take pictures because we were hungry and dug right in. The salad was huge. Enough for 2. It did come with eggs so if you don't like eggs as my husband hates eggs.... beware. He got the sirloin and he is picky and he said it was delicious!!! I had the chicken pot pie and it was amazing. A early Sunday evening supper was well served, pretty good food, great variety, nice drinks. Strongly recommended for a multi generational family or group. Something for every taste and interest. Food was excellent! Steak was tender with no waste. Baked potato seasoned and tasty. Even though the restaurant was getting busy server was quick to offer assistance. The only suggestion I would make would be to install coat hooks inside women's bathroom stalls. read more

Never disappointed! My favorite side is the broccoli, cheese and rice casserole. Typically I get something like ribs and chicken or steak and shrimp. But sometimes I just get the chicken strips. Its ALWAYS good. I cant even count how many times I've been here and I just keep coming back. read more

The food is okay, the atmosphere adequate, but the service was extremely disappointing. I was there with friends, and two of them had a plane to catch. We figured that 45 minutes would be plenty of time to order and consume the food, especially since we were there well before the noon rush. By the time our server helped us, we only had 30 minutes left. Although we told him we were in a hurry, he only checked on us once after about 5 minutes of waiting. It was five minutes before my two friends had to leave, and we went off in search of someone to tell them we were sorry, but we would need to go. The manager came almost immediately, and apologized, then magically brought out the food two minutes later. He also comped two of our meals. This was the good part. The bad part was that it was clear the food had been sitting out for a while. The server also wrote down some of the orders incorrectly, so there was about 5 minutes of chaos once the food arrived and was being boxed up. The thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was that once the manager found out two of us could actually eat in the restaurant, "uncomped" our meals. Classy. Ok so we have been back twice since the last visit and both times the food was better. I had the chicken tenders which came out the size of a mountain on the plate there were so many huge pieces! I had to take at least half of it home. I found out their broccoli cheddar casserole is fantastic. Fresh cooked broccoli, creamy rich and bitter melted cheese sauce, and tender rice make this side dish a winner. The other night I had the grilled lemon chicken and it was wonderful. They give you two large breasts (har har) and I ended up taking one home. This location is back in my good graces. read more

Still using a shortened Covid menu. I'm not sure if it's company wide, but regardless it's ridiculous. It appears that anything with shrimp and certain fish may spread Covid. They've also raised prices so it is not as cost friendly. read more

We've seen this chain multiple times while traveling but never stopped in. There's limited selections in this area so we gave it a try and were pleasantly surprised. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Decor is open, modern and clean. The food is reasonably priced and well worth it. All 3 of us enjoyed our selections. While we typically avoid chains, I would recommend this one. read more

As a college student in Saint Joseph we all loved Cheddar's because the prices are really low on food and drinks. My only thing that I don't like about Cheddar's is the crazy crowds and the food is a little bland. read more

I've been here on multiple occasions. The service is typically very good and the food is always hot and the place seems clean. The staff are also typically friendly. I would say that I stopped eating there, due to what happened the last time. The restaurant was doing carry out only due to the quarantine, so I ordered over the phone and gave my debit card as payment. I even tipped, as I realized that some people were hit harder. I hadn't used my debit card for anything else recently, and noticed there were some strange charges on my account. Someone at Cheddar's essentially took my card information that I gave to pay for my meal and used it to try and buy all kinds of things. I had to end up cancelling my debit card and getting a new one, plus I had to figure out how to get my money back. I would recommend using cash when dining here. I had had good service in the past, so I think it was likely one individual that was desperate enough to do this. Please trust that I knew that it was Cheddar's, as I hadn't used my debit card in weeks. read more

Went in for a quick lunch, I loved how fast the hostess was to greet and how quick our waiter was as well. Our waiter always made sure that we were doing well and although I was in a hurry that afternoon our waiter was understanding and brought out boxes once he saw we could eat no more, this added to the experience and was nice to see a waiter who was quick and cared about his customers. read more

The food is always great. I get the chicken tenders and shrimp often. They have big, juicy, flavorful burgers, great pasta dishes, and I love the spinach-artichoke dip. The service is nice and I have been here 20+ times and always been satisfied. I went here for a large family meal and the experience mostly went well. The food was inexpensive and abundant (we ordered some tasty onion rings and I got a mushroom burger with broccoli cheese casserole on the side). Last week I called to order a "to go" and was transferred to the bartender. He was not thrilled to be taking my order and barked at me, "I'm ready" when he was ready to take my order. I promptly hung up on him and took my business elsewhere. Knowing that everyone can have a bad day, I tried again this week. I recently moved up to northwest Missouri to go to college, and was extremely excited when I discovered there was a Cheddar's down the way from my school. Cheddar's is my favorite restaurant back home so I just HAD to try it. So my friends and I went down for my birthday and let me tell you, I definitely wasn't disappointed! Our waitress was kind and on top of everything from orders and drinks, to making sure we were happy with our seating and surroundings. The food was spectacular just as I expected and the portions are huge, so you never leave the restaurant hungry. The restaurant itself has a beautiful exterior design that draws attention and looks very inviting, and the interior has just as amazing decor, capturing a very calm and laid back atmosphere and helping to make the restaurant more comfortable and an enjoyable place to eat. I went again, less than a month later, and once again was very impressed and pleased with my visit. read more

We had an extra long 2 hour lunch so we decided to eat at Cheddar's. I had the buffalo chicken wrap which was pretty good, the sauce was excellent. I couldn't finish the whole thing, servings are generous! The service was ok. It took so long for the food to come out, I'm glad we had that extra hour!
