Medium rare...it was a hard as the plate.

It's one of the only steak places around here. I've been striking out getting the ribeye the last few times so I got the prime rib and figured I'd be safe. Nope. Asked for medium rare and they give me a crispy end cut of the prime rib. I didn't return it since I could see It had a bit of red in it and I didn't want to complain and get my wife worked up since she had talked me into trying this place again, but come on.... It was like beef jerky, but not even that tender. Parts of it were as hard a my plate. It's like they don't care anymore. Even the typically good service was missing. I will not be returning.

Had a great dinner last night. It was Saturday after valentines, so of course there was a long wait time. We used the app the get on the list before we even left home. The time was accurate on the wait. We were seated about 8pm. The service was good considering how slammed they were. Our waitress was really good. I had the medallions cooked rare. I warned the waitress that if they come out medium, I'm sending it back because I want a cool, red center. She said she'd be sure the cook knows. It came out PERFECTLY cooked! I was very happy with my steak. The roasted sweet potato was amazing, as always. So why the 4 stars? My hubby had his heart set on prime rib. We thought for sure they would plan for a big night of prime rib. They ran out. He was so disappointed. So he had the biggest 20 oz bone-in ribeye instead. He wonders if it was actually that big (it probably was), and he enjoyed every bite. He said he was not disappointed in the ribeye, but I could tell he just really wanted prime rib. I call it a win anyway since we are limiting his steak intake to once a month for heart health reasons. The salads, bread, and potatoes were all very good, as expected. We will be back since it's his favorite place to dine out... for prime rib. And we will get there at 5pm, if not earlier.

We ate here during our visit to Chiefs training camp in August. Excellent food and service at the St. Joe, Missouri location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The facility was clean and the staff were super friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely returning next year.

Amazing as always! The sangria margarita is my favorite! The steak is always seasoned perfect! Great service! Love eating at this place! Affordable!

How many hands have been in here?

We have been going here since they opened . Living in Gower , we are a tad closer to St Joseph than the Liberty, or North KC locations. The interior is pretty standard across the board in all the Texas Roadhouses, and this one is no exception. The steak temps at this location can be very hit and miss. The steak is still a great value and flavor is there! Pro tip: Order extra seasoning! Game changer.

Food was good, staff were attentive. Travelling from CA, encountered stiff alcohol rules, but not stiff drinks.

We'd arrived in St Joseph, Missouri around 1:15p to have lunch at a little German restaurant we'd…read moreheard about; only to find their hours were a bit unconventional (11:30am thru 1:30pm Monday to Friday &closed Sat & Sun). I couldn't believe what I was seeing on their webpage, so I phoned the restaurant directly - once in town. The woman on the phone was extremely pleasant, yet informed me the hours posted were in fact correct, and that they were a small family owned place with limited help, so they'll seat their last customer at 1:15pm. I explained we'd just driven into town from Blue Springs specifically to eat there, thanked her for the clarification, then told her we'd return to dine there sometime soon. She was still kind enough to direct us to a couple other establishments in town that would promise a good experience; and she wasn't wrong. We'd decided we'd stop at Boudreaux's... They're a Louisiana style seafood & steak place. Known by the locals to be frequented by quite a few of the Kansas City Chiefs players from time to time. Ironically, we were within 400 feet of it when I looked it up. It was literally on the corner of the street we were on. So, we parked and went in. The interior was a little dark and kind of dated looking. It had a mezzanine that overlooked the lower dining area, and the black metal rails were decorated with the traditional fleur-de-lis symbols within it's panels, and they were scattered about the inside and outside of the building. It definitely reminded you of a little place you'd encounter on a visit to Mardi gras. Actually, come to think about it, it was exactly what you'd imagine a little place like this would look like inside if you were on Bourbon Street in Louisiana. We ordered a cup of Crab Bisque soup, which was divine! It arrived with a scoop of white rice and sour dough bread rounds. We'd also ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken balls; which were made with Cajun mashed potatoes & chicken, formed into golf ball sized balls and fried to perfection, then served with a special Cajun style creamed gravy sauce. That was also very tasty! Next, our entrees... We'd ordered the Seafood Jambalaya with a side of garden vegetables. This dish was slightly seafood forward, containing a trio of catfish, shrimp, and crawfish; it was layered amongst the usual Jambalaya suspects - of delicately steamed rice, seasoned tomato sauce and finished with traditional Cajun seasonings... add in the tri colored sweet pepper strips (cooked perfectly) and you have a very memorable lunch experience. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken smothered in their own version of "creamed gravy" but it was more like a complex Cajun cream sauce, served with Dirty Rice on the side. Again, undeniably delicious. It was perfectly breaded and expertly fried. We ordered quite a few items so we'd have the opportunity to experience some while there, and still have plenty to take home. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to have an authentic Cajun/Creole style meal.

The I was very surprised to see alligator bites on the kids' menu! My daughter liked them, although I thought they were a little bland. My 9-year-old ordered the Super Jambalaya and absolutely loved it . The kids' catfish looked crispy, and my son's friend really enjoyed it as well. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was very busy, so it was understandable. Even with the crowd, the servers stayed attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Luckily, that is where the JC Wyatt House comes in. Not only is the food top rate, but the entire experience is amazing. At the JC Wyatt House, you have dinner in an intimate, small dining room inside a Victorian Mansion. Here is how it works. They are only open on Thursday and Friday, 1130am to 1230pm, for lunch and Wednesday thru Saturday, 530pm to 7pm for dinner. Reservations are required and you will choose your main entree for all of your party when you make your reservation. We went for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. We arrived a few minutes before our 6pm reservation and were seated. At exactly 6pm, our server, Chris, started with our choice of hors d'oeuvres. Either a potato and fresh vegetable soup, or shrimp cocktail. My wife had the shrimp, and I had the soup. Both were outstanding. For dinner, I had the lamb, and my wife had the filet mignon. Both came with potatoes, carrots and a roll. Again, both meals were outstanding. We finished with a dessert trio that was amazing. Besides the fantastic meal, the service was first class, and the ambiance was really special. This is a must visit for an amazing meal. Call today and get your reservations.

Looks like a very popular music venue as well. Unfortunately, too early for that. It was hopping at 1:45 for lunch and filled with regulars. The fantastic bartender, Jerry, shouts out a greeting to everyone who walks in and hustles to make sure everyone is taken care of QUICKLY! The menu was perfect for a delicatessen with standard choices of turkey, pastrami, tuna salad, soups and specialty beef brisket sandwiches. The prices are more than fair with the delicious pastrami sandwich coming with a sufficient amount of meat and quality bread for the great price. You can add additional meat for a small charge. It's nice to have a sandwich that isn't is more than you can eat and twice the price. I had the homemade chicken and wildrice soup which was also delicious filled with chunks of white chicken meat. We topped it off with a slice of Magoons famous cheese cake which did not disappoint! The atmosphere is eclectic with booths that have heard many stories over the years, a great bar with plenty of seating and unique antiques.
