    Dining area of Texas Roadhouse.

We ate here during our visit to Chiefs training camp in August. Excellent food and service at the St. Joe, Missouri location. The facility was clean and the staff were super friendly. Definitely returning next year.

Had a great dinner last night. It was Saturday after valentines, so of course there was a long wait time. We used the app the get on the list before we even left home. The time was accurate on the wait. We were seated about 8pm. The service was good considering how slammed they were. Our waitress was really good. I had the medallions cooked rare. I warned the waitress that if they come out medium, I'm sending it back because I want a cool, red center. She said she'd be sure the cook knows. It came out PERFECTLY cooked! I was very happy with my steak. The roasted sweet potato was amazing, as always. So why the 4 stars? My hubby had his heart set on prime rib. We thought for sure they would plan for a big night of prime rib. They ran out. He was so disappointed. So he had the biggest 20 oz bone-in ribeye instead. He wonders if it was actually that big (it probably was), and he enjoyed every bite. He said he was not disappointed in the ribeye, but I could tell he just really wanted prime rib. I call it a win anyway since we are limiting his steak intake to once a month for heart health reasons. The salads, bread, and potatoes were all very good, as expected. We will be back since it's his favorite place to dine out... for prime rib. And we will get there at 5pm, if not earlier.

Amazing as always! The sangria margarita is my favorite! The steak is always seasoned perfect! Great service! Love eating at this place! Affordable!

We have been going here since they opened . Living in Gower , we are a tad closer to St Joseph than the Liberty, or North KC locations. The interior is pretty standard across the board in all the Texas Roadhouses, and this one is no exception. The steak temps at this location can be very hit and miss. The steak is still a great value and flavor is there! Pro tip: Order extra seasoning! Game changer.

It's not a relaxing experience to dine at Texas Roadhouse. It's always too loud to even carry on a conversation . The food is good though.

I never should have listened to those who are not fans. My husband got 4 twisteds--2 chicken and one of each of the other flavors. They were all so good. And the fresh fried chips were delicious too. I got the fried swai. My husband is not a fan of fish but he kept stealing bites off my plate, it was that good. The batter was light and crisp. And the portion was huge. I LOVED the honey mustard coleslaw. I'm a slaw snob, and I have high standards. I look forward to eating the slaw again. The garlic Parmesan broccoli was good too. We will be back.

All their food is named after musicians. I had the Hank Williams hamburger, with spicy bacon jam, Cheddar cheese, and a couple of fried onion. The burger was delicious, the bacon jam not overly spicy for me but worked well. Great burger. Came with seasoned fries, also quite good. They brew some of their own beer, which both my friends and I thought they still had a little ways to go to perfect that. I had their Irish Stout which wasn't bad. A little more bitter than Guinness but ok. Definitely great food for a bar, and their craft beer will get there soon. Parking is around back.

The roads could use some serious work, but in the midst of the somewhat sleepy downtown area, we encountered Fredrick Inn. We noted several positive reviews in Yelp, but with the rundown look of the parking lot and the city in general, we might have passed on it. Glad we didn't!! We sat down fast and got our drinks in no time! Menu is chock-full of delicious options, but we spotted prime rib and decided on it right away! Not only did we get the best darn prime rib we've had in long time, but also we got unlimited soup and salad bar! The meat was cooked perfectly and delicious! Everything about our meal couldn't be better! They only do prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights, and it looked to me as if this is a big draw for Frederick Inn. The service was stellar and the place had a bit of an old world feel on the inside. They had craft beers and a full bar. Plus, I hear they are famous for their strawberry pie. I'm pretty glad we stopped there. Definitely added Frederick Inn on my bookmarks of great little restaurants so that if we come this way again, we'll be sure to stop by!!

By the time the waitress brought the hot sauce and my wine, my Chicken livers were half eaten and the remaining food was cold. My Husband wanted a piece of the raisin pie. The server said she would save him a piece and when it came time for dessert she said someone took the note off the piece of pie and served it anyway. All that was offered was an "I'm sorry" from the waitress. She said she would come back and see if we wanted anything else- 20 minutes she came back. No manager came back to apologize for the mistake, no offer was made to try and makeup for the error of the staff. The food was good but we can get prime rib at other local steakhouses less than we paid for the ribeye. The specials don't have prices listed and it's our fault for not asking, but they are significantly higher than the menu items. We saw out waitress maybe 4 times total our whole meal, while the other waitresses were actively chatting with their tables... the cost of the food would have been worth it if the service would have even been mediocre... I give the food 4/5 and the service 1/5... definitely will not be back because there even the apology offered by the server was offered with a shrug of her shoulders taking any sincerity she had off the table. This is a shame because the place came highly recommended by my co-workers

Luckily, that is where the JC Wyatt House comes in. Not only is the food top rate, but the entire experience is amazing. At the JC Wyatt House, you have dinner in an intimate, small dining room inside a Victorian Mansion. Here is how it works. They are only open on Thursday and Friday, 1130am to 1230pm, for lunch and Wednesday thru Saturday, 530pm to 7pm for dinner. Reservations are required and you will choose your main entree for all of your party when you make your reservation. We went for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. We arrived a few minutes before our 6pm reservation and were seated. At exactly 6pm, our server, Chris, started with our choice of hors d'oeuvres. Either a potato and fresh vegetable soup, or shrimp cocktail. My wife had the shrimp, and I had the soup. Both were outstanding. For dinner, I had the lamb, and my wife had the filet mignon. Both came with potatoes, carrots and a roll. Again, both meals were outstanding. We finished with a dessert trio that was amazing. Besides the fantastic meal, the service was first class, and the ambiance was really special. This is a must visit for an amazing meal. Call today and get your reservations.
