However, the server Angeline was terrible, and made our visit a little sour...She greeted us and I could tell right away she didn't want to be there or help us. Our food came out before the appetizer and it was so difficult to get her attention; she kept walking right by our table, ignoring us. She finally came by and I let her know, "We didn't get our appetizer, don't worry..." She held up one finger before I could finish the rest of my sentence and ran straight to the kitchen, and we can hear her yell for the appetizer. She came back and told us sternly and quickly, "I don't know where it is. It didn't go through. Do you still want it?" She was about to leave again but we were able to tell her "No, it's fine, thank you." She then left and never, ever, came back to the table to take away empty plates or ask if we wanted more water, napkins, boxes, dessert, nothing...We were completely isolated and ignored. Luckily, we were able to pay with the tabletop kiosk. I can tell she never rang in our appetizer, because it never showed up on the receipt and a manager never stopped by to speak with us about it. When we left the restaurant, we saw her sitting at a separate booth with another guest, talking and eating food from a to-go box, completely oblivious. I am normally a big fan of Cheddars but this particular day I ordered from the lunch menu and tried their chicken sandwich for the first time and it was too salty and not good at all. I called to complain to the manager named Ronnie . He told me I had to bring the sandwich back! Mind you the sandwich was thrown to the side at this point could have just made me a new one! I hate to give a business 4 stars due to short staffing but unfortunately when it effects the service you have to to be honest for others searching Yelp for a great place to visit. A group of 4 of us arrived right at opening (11 am) and were the first ones seated. There was only one or two other tables seated in the first 10-15 minutes of our visit. Our waitress was great but appeared a little slow in getting our drinks. We ordered and the food arrived fairly quick. I had a pecan salad which was good and i didn't hear any complaints from the rest of my table. One person didn't have silverware and finally had to get up and get it himself. Our waitress seemed embarrassed and told him they were frantically preparing the silverware with a napkin. By the time we were ready for our bills the tables were getting busy and our waitress took a while to give us our checks and then return. We were bury talking so there really wasn't any problems. Overall we had good food and polite waitress but a little slow near the end due to low staffing. Due to the location near the Orlando Airport I am sure I will be returning in the future. read more

Had a Christmas lunch here with about 15 people. They don't take reservations, but you can call ahead the same day. They let us call in a few minutes before they opened so they could put the tables together. They technically open at 11:00, but let us get seated a few minutes early. It was a big group and a lot to manage, so there was a bit of wait on some things, but 100% understandable. I absolutely loved that they let us do separate checks. Some place limit the number of split checks, but they let us do split checks for everyone and that was a huge win. The food took a little while, but again, it was a huge group, so it's totally understandable. My food came out hot and perfect. It was delicious and well cooked. Waitress was great. Host was great. Food was great. Prices were very reasonable. Overall, a great experience. I'm surprised by the number of not-so-great reviews. I ordered the trio appetizer, spinach dip, cheese dip, salsa dip and chicken tenders. The cheese dip was awesome served with fresh fried tortilla chips. The spinach dip was creamy cheesey spinach it was delicious. That should've been enough but I also ordered the delicious Chicken Pot Pies. After she left I looked to see if it cost money and didn't see anything so I let him play one game. My husband had the chicken sandwich and I had the Popeye. We also ordered the appetizer. I think our eyes were bigger than our stomach. Called ahead for a large post graduation lunch. They said they could accommodate us "no problem". Sat us in a room they KNEW the A/C didn't work and ceiling fans didn't work. Assigned one server to 4 tables, 24 of us altogether. We got one drink and no refills even the water. Took 3 hours to finally get our food which was mediocre at best. Restaurant was hot. Server woefully overworked. Manager never bothered to come table side and offered to comp 2 appetizers from the whole tab. That's it. I will never throw shade across that threshold again. My boyfriend received a gift card to use good for several restaurants and decided to go to Cheddar's. We came in for dinner and were seated immediately. Our server was a Chris P and he was awesome. Nice dude with a good sense of humor. He checked on us frequently and made sure we had all we needed. I chose to get the grilled whitefish with lemon pepper seasoning. It came with two sides (along with also being served over rice), so I chose a loaded baked potato and Mac and cheese. Carb overload I know, but shhhh lol. My boyfriend chose chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. I also ordered a side Caesar salad. The salad came out quickly and it was large for a side salad. I shared with my boyfriend; it tasted fresh and wasn't overly drenched in dressing. Our meals came out a short time after. Holy moly, Cheddar's does not skimp on portion sizes! My meal had two large pieces of fish and my boyfriend's chicken fried steak took up most of the plate! The baked potato was well prepared and had a good amount of the traditional toppings. The fish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The rice was also good. The Mac wasn't the best I've had, but it was still tasty. I sampled the chicken fried steak and it was very good. The gravy they use is one of the better country style gravies I've tried. We ate what we could and have plenty leftover for dinner another night. Another very delicious meal with helpful service throughout (today by Angeline/Angie) with a group of six diners. My choice today was the fish and shrimp w/ garlic sauce, and it was better than expected, allowing me to clean my plate entirely. All in the group were please with the individual choices. I'm gonna say that our table was higher maintenance than the neighboring tables, but Angie seemed to take it all in stride, and kept a smile throughout our time there.
