My first time at Chedder's, not horrible, but also not impressed. The interior nice, lots of seating. Our host and server both good. Our server was attentive throughout our visit. The food? I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. Very underwhelmed. The bread thin and a bit soggy, the meat inside looked and tasted like basic cold cuts out of the grocery store cheap processed meat section. I ate a few bites and didn't finish. The fries were good. My partner ordered the shrimp with chicken over rice and fries. He did enjoy the chicken and shrimp, didn't care for the rice. Another add, when you're seated they bring you buttered croissants, good. I wanted to like this place. The menu is pretty basic and my meal went wasted. I'm not sure I'd try again. read more

My family and I decided to have dinner at Cheddar's at 6650 S. Semoran Blvd. Orlando FL. 32822. It was almost eight pm. When we arrived. Restaurant was ferry empty, few tables here and there. We were greeted by Mike our server, he was kind of behind or busy and he told us so. We put our drink order and our appetizer order. He said he will be back with the croissants. He came back with the drinks and we placed our main dinner order. We finished our drinks and yet our croissants didn't show up.we asked Mike about it and he said the kitchen didn't give it to him yet. Croissants and appetizer are on the table about 8:30 pm. No we are waiting for our dinner. Called Mike and asked it's not ready yet. I was about to leave .ihave two little girls need to be in bed by nine. Finally 855 dinner show up. I asked Mike to call the manager, because I wanted to complain about the length of time it took to get our food. 905 Mike stops by and ask did the manager come by, I said not yet. Manger sped by 9:12 I complained about how long it took get our food and the restaurant is not busy. He said I don't want to give you an excuse, but I will give you discount don't worry. Food was delicious, quick, and hot. Kudos to the kitchen and cooks! However, the server Angeline was terrible, and made our visit a little sour...She greeted us and I could tell right away she didn't want to be there or help us. Our food came out before the appetizer and it was so difficult to get her attention; she kept walking right by our table, ignoring us. She finally came by and I let her know, "We didn't get our appetizer, don't worry..." She held up one finger before I could finish the rest of my sentence and ran straight to the kitchen, and we can hear her yell for the appetizer. She came back and told us sternly and quickly, "I don't know where it is. It didn't go through. Do you still want it?" She was about to leave again but we were able to tell her "No, it's fine, thank you." She then left and never, ever, came back to the table to take away empty plates or ask if we wanted more water, napkins, boxes, dessert, nothing...We were completely isolated and ignored. Luckily, we were able to pay with the tabletop kiosk. I can tell she never rang in our appetizer, because it never showed up on the receipt and a manager never stopped by to speak with us about it. When we left the restaurant, we saw her sitting at a separate booth with another guest, talking and eating food from a to-go box, completely oblivious. It wasn't professional, and it all made sense as to why she ignored us the entire meal. We would love to come back, but definitely do not want to have this kind of service. We love the food here! Fresh and flavorful. I had a Salmon Salad with pecans which was great - I had it with Balsamic dressing to make it a little lighter. I loved it. I am normally a big fan of Cheddars but this particular day I ordered from the lunch menu and tried their chicken sandwich for the first time and it was too salty and not good at all. I called to complain to the manager named Ronnie . He told me I had to bring the sandwich back! Mind you the sandwich was thrown to the side at this point could have just made me a new one! I didn't take any pictures, but the service was good. One person in our party ordered the veggie Philly, and had to send it back a couple of times. Slices of cheese were just layed on top of the sandwich instead of mixed in with the veggies. I hate to give a business 4 stars due to short staffing but unfortunately when it effects the service you have to to be honest for others searching Yelp for a great place to visit. A group of 4 of us arrived right at opening (11 am) and were the first ones seated. There was only one or two other tables seated in the first 10-15 minutes of our visit. Our waitress was great but appeared a little slow in getting our drinks. We ordered and the food arrived fairly quick. I had a pecan salad which was good and i didn't hear any complaints from the rest of my table. One person didn't have silverware and finally had to get up and get it himself. Our waitress seemed embarrassed and told him they were frantically preparing the silverware with a napkin. By the time we were ready for our bills the tables were getting busy and our waitress took a while to give us our checks and then return. We were bury talking so there really wasn't any problems. Overall we had good food and polite waitress but a little slow near the end due to low staffing. Due to the location near the Orlando Airport I am sure I will be returning in the future. read more

I ordered the trio appetizer, spinach dip, cheese dip, salsa dip and chicken tenders. The cheese dip was awesome served with fresh fried tortilla chips. The spinach dip was creamy cheesey spinach it was delicious. That should've been enough but I also ordered the delicious Chicken Pot Pies. Ordered fish shrimp platter w/ no salt on fries. Fries came black. Years ago, the 1st thing I learned was to clean potatoes. New Orleans pasta was ordered as plain Alfredo sauce, but server said they gave my order to someone else & they re-made it. But they did so w/o the Alfredo sauce. Also, the white fish in small letters at bottom of menu says it is actually swai fish which is imported & most likely comes from polluted rivers overseas w/ toxins according to research. Had a Christmas lunch here with about 15 people. They don't take reservations, but you can call ahead the same day. They let us call in a few minutes before they opened so they could put the tables together. They technically open at 11:00, but let us get seated a few minutes early. It was a big group and a lot to manage, so there was a bit of wait on some things, but 100% understandable. I absolutely loved that they let us do separate checks. Some place limit the number of split checks, but they let us do split checks for everyone and that was a huge win. The food took a little while, but again, it was a huge group, so it's totally understandable. My food came out hot and perfect. It was delicious and well cooked. Waitress was great. Host was great. Food was great. Prices were very reasonable. Overall, a great experience. I'm surprised by the number of not-so-great reviews. We are from out of town and have never been to cheddars. We were there for lunch and we quickly seated. Our waitress ,May, was amazing. We quickly gave her our order for lunch. My husband had the chicken sandwich and I had the Popeye. We also ordered the appetizer. I think our eyes were bigger than our stomach. It was a lot of food brought us a honey butter drizzled croissant to start and it was delicious sooner appetizer arrived and it was huge. The chicken strips were crispy and delicious. The spinach dip was piping hot but way too salty. The cheese dip was also very hot and I also found it to be salty. Definitely could have enjoyed this appetizer we left half of it untouched, my chicken pot pie came with a large house salad that was cold and crisp. The chicken pot pie was a large portion. It was piping hot. The crust was golden brown and flaky. There was a large portion of chunk white chicken along with carrots and peas. It was amazing. I absolutely hate the tablets left on the table. Our server approached and we didn't realize our 4 year old hit a button on it for a game while she was talking to us. After she left I looked to see if it cost money and didn't see anything so I let him play one game. He had already hit the play button and we learned after seeing g a charge on our bill that it's a big button that says play and under that it says in much smaller writing that there is a cost. Of course kids are going to push the play button which they can get to I. Less than a minute. Since the server told me to check out and pay through the device once I noticed the charge there was no one to talk to. Such a dumb money grab. No Cheddars in Oregon and it used to be a go to in Texas and Oklahoma for us. The good- food was good like I remember. The only minor critique was the cheese curds were a little oily. The whitefish and sides were excellent. Their Monte Cristo is still among the best I've had. Tonight's was no exception. Really good. Assigned one server to 4 tables, 24 of us altogether. We got one drink and no refills even the water. Took 3 hours to finally get our food which was mediocre at best. Restaurant was hot. Server woefully overworked. Manager never bothered to come table side and offered to comp 2 appetizers from the whole tab. That's it. I will never throw shade across that threshold again. And now we just feel like we're rushed to leave because they wanna go home, so their theory is let's not bring them bread it cost maybe $.15 parole and make him happy this trust. Try to get them out of there quickly. I don't wanna be a Nasir. There was some good things about their service but towards the end, they just wanted us out of there no matter how much money we spent. My boyfriend received a gift card to use good for several restaurants and decided to go to Cheddar's. We came in for dinner and were seated immediately. Our server was a Chris P and he was awesome. Nice dude with a good sense of humor. He checked on us frequently and made sure we had all we needed. I chose to get the grilled whitefish with lemon pepper seasoning. It came with two sides (along with also being served over rice), so I chose a loaded baked potato and Mac and cheese. Carb overload I know, but shhhh lol. My boyfriend chose chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. I also ordered a side Caesar salad. The salad came out quickly and it was large for a side salad. I shared with my boyfriend; it tasted fresh and wasn't overly drenched in dressing. Our meals came out a short time after. Holy moly, Cheddar's does not skimp on portion sizes! My meal had two large pieces of fish and my boyfriend's chicken fried steak took up most of the plate! The baked potato was well prepared and had a good amount of the traditional toppings. The fish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The rice was also good. The Mac wasn't the best I've had, but it was still tasty. I sampled the chicken fried steak and it was very good. The gravy they use is one of the better country style gravies I've tried. We ate what we could and have plenty leftover for dinner another night. Cheddar's is a good spot and I feel you definitely come out with some good food at really reasonable prices. I'm definitely heading back to try the country fried chicken in the future! read more

I wanted a place to go to after Disney. This place was close by and seemed promising. I don't like to talk badly about a place's food but this was horrible. The food didn't seem fresh and looked not right. The mashed potatoes didn't even taste okay. The onion rings were semi decent and the fries. The waitress was super nice tho and the service was good.
