Stopped by while doing some shopping on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated very quickly. This location is on the smaller side but it has some cute vintage diner vibe going to it. We got wings burgers onion rings cheese fries and milk shakes. The food was super yummy no complaint there. Service was okay. Really sweet girl hit service was a little slow. We both asked for two waters we only ever got the one. We had to kinda keep reminding her for things we ordered. For example when she brought out the food she asked if there was anything else she could get us to which reminded her we had ordered a side of cheese fries. It's more of a 3.5 stars I haven't been to a Johnny Rockets in over a decade and I used to love going! Unfortunately, my most recent experience wasn't as great. The food and service were nothing like the "experience" I remember when I was younger. Anyway, I opted for the classic burger which tasted fine. But I felt the patty was minimal since the bread and other ingredients overtook the burger. The onion rings were really good, I must admit. Stopped in because I happened to be in the mall, and I hadn't been in a Johnny Rockets in forever so I decided why not. The location is the typical "50s diner" set up only miniaturized to fit in a mall. We were seated very quickly, where I had to explain the my dining companion what a diner booth jukebox is and I immediately felt about 10,000 years old. Ordered a simple burger and some chili fries, which also arrived in record time. The burger itself was a very good dog standard fast food burger, zero complaints there. The chili fries were another story; the chili, for lack of a better explanation, tasted like the "wrong" type of chili. Simple comfort food! The ambiance is casual 1950s diner style. I came in with my mom, her sister, and 3 of her sister's grandchildren, for lunch. Our waitress was friendly and had a nice smile. It a while to get our food, and the first thing that arrived was my fries and onion rings. Of course that pleased me, but with 3 little kids at the table, it was stressful to try to keep them patient while we waited for theirs. I got a grilled cheese with cheddar cheese, as well as an order of half fries half onion rings (sorry I took a pic after I already started eating haha... there was a lot more beforehand). The portions are pretty big which is nice--my mom and I shared the fries and onion rings. The little smiley face ketchup on the plate is always a cute touch. The cheese fries are great but the burgers have ZERO flavor. The meat is watered down and has no spices at all very disappointing. The manager did tell me that the burgers have only salt and pepper on them and offered to get us something else which I thought was kind. I however give honest reviews, and for a burger lover like my husband to leave more than half of his burger on the table! The staff was apologetic and that was appreciated. Accessible dining room with big corner tables for a mobility device to pull right up to the table. Pepsi products for drinks and milkshakes that I hear are good but we did not try them. Dont just run to the first burger joint you see at the mall If I could rate this johnny rockets less then 1 stars, I would. The food was not only bland but was crazy overpriced. The server kept rushing us for our order and never asked to refill our cups. And when we asked for the receipt she gave it to us with a 18 percent tip included already before i even got the chance to see my initial total!! Keep in mind I really don't mind tipping but the fact that I was forced to tip her 6 extra dollars without any options of other percentages is crazy to me. My order with 2 of my little brothers came out to be 40 dollars with that tip. This was my first time going to a Johnny Rockets. Very clean and great atmosphere. We were sat down promptly. We placed our order with our drinks because we knew what we wanted. Everything was fresh. Fries came first, then burgers. I had a Turkey Bacon Cheddar and the husband had a beef burger that comes with onion rings on it. Forgot the name of it. I make turkey burgers all the time and if you aren't careful, they can dry out and be hard to add flavor to. They seasoned my burger right without drying it out. I wish I remembered my waiters name. I promise I will do better with giving everyone credit! Husband has the receipt and I'll update if I find it. He was very attentive and nice. Everyone seem as though they had some energy, singing and dancing. Not too loud or doing too much. I can't sit still so I always sing along and do some righteous chair dancin'! My cheesesteak was ok, I would have preferred more onions and green peppers, but they did add jalapeños per my request and they did not skimp on the steak so I was a happy camper. The fries were tasty but not crispy and I definitely preferred the onion rings which were hot and crunchy with lots of flavoring in the batter. My husband enjoyed his burger but said it was fairly average as burgers go.
