Great place located near the airport for some delicious all American food. From fried shrimp with pickles to their chicken pot pie, this place has a large menu with many drinks to choose from as well. We love the honey butter croissants they are soft and have that creamy honey butter. The fried shrimp and pickles are tasty good. I hate pickles,but the shrimp do not taste like it at all. My other half ordered the chicken pot pie and loved it, definitely was very filling for him. I really liked my lunch special of half a monte cristo with a chicken Cesar salad pasta. The monte cristo is deep fried so it is a bit much, but that chicken Cesar salad pasta is good and really filling. This has been on my list of restaurants to try FOREVER! One of my colleagues told me about it years ago and so finally got a chance to try it while visiting Orlando. Let me just tell you, it was delicious. The host (who was expecting) and the waitress were friendly and great. We had the Santa Fe Spinach Dip as an appetizer and it was a great start to our meals since we came in famished. I had the Hand-breaded fried shrimp with Mac and cheese and broccoli as sides. I enjoyed every minute of it. My husband had the Dijon Chicken & Mushrooms and asked for the honey mustard sauces and rice on the side since he has to cut down on carbs. He enjoyed that meal but really didn't care for so much sauce on it. Because I love mushrooms of course I had to try a bite and that part was delicious. I got the New Orleans pasta and it was cooked just right. Cajun sauce was not too spicy which I like. My server was one of the best I've ever had. The server, she was great, but my food came out cold the first time around and my sangria was missing all the fruit. My sangria only had lime and lemons inside. I notified the server about the issues, she gave me a complimentary potato soup, which was decent. I wasn't very impressed by the pasta itself. I ordered the Alfredo with shrimp rather than chicken. The entree only had 4 little shrimp the first time around and they brought me one more shrimp letting me know they forgot the other shrimp. I wasn't sure if it was just busy or if the kitchen was forgetful today. The (manager) was nice enough to discount the meal, but it's the principle. I shouldn't have had all those issues in one sitting. I would recommend better food service for future visits. read more

Service was bad, 10 minutes to be greeted once sat, then almost 15 minutes until drinks came out. Food wasn't too bad of a wait but not hot by any means. Tasted alright. Never got refills and thankfully could pay at the table or it would have taken even longer. Bad service makes this a skip for me. Unfortunately, I have had multiple bad experiences at this Cheddar's location. Tonight my husband and I went to enjoy a casual dinner, but we ended up taking more than half of our meals to go so we could heat them up in our air fryer at home. We ordered the Wisconsin Cheese Bites appetizer, which took a while to come out but I'll admit was delicious. Our meals came out not even five minutes later, which was frustrating since that ruined the purpose of getting an appetizer. I got the Chicken Tender Platter, and he got the Chicken & Shrimp Platter, both with fries. We were disappointed to find our meals already cold the minute they arrived. They must have been sitting somewhere in the kitchen for a while. We ate a couple of bites and decided it would be better to take them home. There is a Cheddar's on East Colonial that has never failed us, so if you're choosing between the two, it's well worth the drive for an overall better dining experience. **It's the next morning after writing this review, and my husband and I both feel awful. We had the Texas TBone and it was cooked exactly how we wanted it, it was tasty and cook to the desired temp. The spinach dip was ok, as were the chips served with it. I have visited Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen a few times. It reminds me of a Cracker Barrel type restaurant. Their menu is more comfort food over healthy. The service is always good and their food is served hot. Prices are very reasonable and the service is good. On my last visit my husband and I started with Cheddar's Trio Sampler. ($10.99) It came with spinach dip, queso, salsa, chips and four fresh breaded chicken strips. The spinach dip was loaded with spinach and very cheesy. The queso and salsa taste good but the tortilla chips that came with the trio were a little stale. We both really enjoyed the chicken strips. We did not know what we wanted to eat so we ordered the Monte Cristo ($9.99), Chicken Pot Pie ($9.99), New Orleans Pasta. ($12.99) and a regular salad. Out of the three entrees the pot pie knocked it out of the park. It had tender pieces of fresh white meat chicken and a nice amount of vegetables in a creamy sauce. The salad was cold and fresh and I liked that the dressing was on the side. We finished with coffee and an apple cobbler. The coffee was fresh and strong. I normally read reviews and do a lot of research before committing to a restaurant because dining out with a dairy allergy can be challenging but we were all famished so I took it on faith that they'd be able to make something dairy free. Our group members were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was and reasonably priced the meal was as well. The service was quick, our server was attentive and we all had leftovers to take home. The server was very knowledgeable about what contained dairy which set my mind at ease. Then the manager came over to reiterate my order and make sure I understood that the fryers are shared. I was highly impressed at their attention to detail. We can't go buy a Cheddars and not stop. It was always so good. My husband has this thing where he has desert first. What would that be? The made to order cookie sundae of course. He has been doing this for over 25 years and it's the only place he does it. However, the food is great as well. I had ribs and shrimp. First time for me at Cheddar's. Received a Darden restaurant gift card for Christmas, so my bestie and I stopped in for dinner this past Thursday. Not many cars in the parking lot at around 4pm...thought this might be a bad omen. Turns out we were just extremely lucky because our meal was fantastic! Seated immediately and graciously greeted by our server, Raphael, who treated us like honored guests. We were famished and Raphael took very good care of us throughout our visit. I had already perused the menu, photos and reviews on Yelp, so I knew exactly what I wanted. First order of business...THE PAINKILLER! It tastes just as good as it looks in the photos folks. If fruity rum drinks aren't your thing, there are plenty more specialy cocktails to choose from that won't drain your bank account. A excellent place to prime your motor before a night of clubbing. I've never been much of a fan of onion rings because they are usually pre-breaded, greasy gag-bombs. Cheddar's claim to fame is that all their offferings are made from scratch. Now I'm a believer because our tower of golden-ringed goodness was delicately battered and perfectly fried. Crispy and piping hot. Yummy dipping sauces too. Both entrees were excellent! I've never had a more crunchy chicken finger in my life...and I'm a chicken finger aficionado...I knows my fingers. Mega crispy on the outside with thick juicy slabs of chicken breast on the inside. No minced mystery meat here. And Cheddar's don't skrimp on the skrimp either. DELISH! I would have to say the best part of our dining experience at Cheddar's was the incredible value received for the money spent. The portions are enormous! I had enough leftovers for a late night snack as well as lunch the next day. Raphael was so cool and made sure I had fresh sauces to-go. I could barely close the box! The specialty drink prices are mind-blowing. I have found fruity rum drink nirvana. The only reason this wasn't a 5 star review is because one of my sides (cole slaw) never made it to the table. The food and services were really good. The food tasted great and was hot. The overall environment was not so good. We were a party of three adults and we were seated adjacent to a large group that was celebrating school graduation of several young children. At first, there were no issues except for the house music being incredibly loud. The loud music made it difficult to have a conversation which prompted the group next to us to increase the volume of their conversations which gave the children license to scream and to carry their celebrations into the areas around our table. As time passed, more people began to show up and add to the crowd. Their table was only meant to seat eight, but just as we were reaching the end of our meal, the group had grown to seventeen which prompted the manager to stop and inform them that they could not have so many at that particular table. The solution was to move them to a different area which was setup for larger groups. This was done as we paid our bill and started to leave. Having worked in the hospitality industry previously, you never seat a small party of adults in an area directly next to a party of families with children who were quite loud. We may rethink ever coming back to this store. read more

I am never disappointed with Cheddar's quality of service or food. On this occasion we came on March 14, otherwise known as Pi day!!! They offered a "pie one get one" -order a pot pie and get an unbaked one to take home, with instructions included! An appetizer we always order is the onion rings, which come in a fun stack. Cheddar's Chicken Pot Pie is incredible and the portion is ridiculously huge IMO. You can choose a different side to replace the salad stated on menu. We ordered another crowd fave, the Monte Cristo -a ham, turkey, cheese sandwich breaded in funnel cake-like batter with a raspberry dipping sauce! We told our server one of our side fries were cold and she immediately had the kitchen fry up some new ones. Our server that day could have been more attentive with drink refills, but I guess it was a little busy that day. All in all, Cheddar's will always be one of my casual favorites. The garlic bread from the kids pasta is hard as a rock. We ordered the steak and ribs and they forgot the ribs. The steak was ordered medium and came out rare so we sent it back and it came back out but medium rare and same piece. It's obvious that they're cooking for cook times and not cooking for quality. I'm a big fan of cheddars, but this cheddars didn't live up to the brand name. I ordered the new meatloaf, which I had had a week before at the Cheddar's over by UCF. It came with two super thin slices up meatloaf that were burnt, with burnt flakes sprinkled over the mashed potatoes. There was no tomato glaze coating as the menu mentioned, I'm imagining that's what the layer of black was supposed to be. And, the meatloaf was plated with the burnt side facing down, almost as if they knew they messed up and wanted to hide it. It was a weekday afternoon without a huge crowd, so I found it weird they seemed to have rushed the food out to us without ensuring it was cooked properly. My friend got the country fried chicken and found it bland, although I didn't think it tasted too far off from when I'd had it at other locations. It's kind of just a bland dish. The service wasn't terrible, but could've been better (waitress didn't keep drinks filled). Overall it wasn't the cheddars experience we were looking for. Maybe the kitchen had an off day, but I'd recommend just heading over to the UCF location if it's near enough to you. read more

Cheddar's generally treats me well. This location is pretty clean and the service can be speedy. Like everyone and their mom I always get the croissants. I can't resist baked goods. The glaze and warm flaky dough drives me wild with hunger! It really is a great appetizer, I could devour them anytime honestly. What I like about Cheddar's is that you can get a meal for about $10 to 20$ and anywhere in between. It's good food. I ordered the tender basket! I couldn't finish it. The chicken is steaming, hot, white meat and crispy. The honey mustard they use is very good! Compliments the tenders very well. Just enough tang. The fries are always made golden and served hot. My partner ordered the monte cristo. If you haven't had it you are missing out! It is a cornucopia of creation! Many different flavors and textures that somehow work very well together. Last time I've been to this establishment, I was not a yelper which was three years ago. If I was, I would of rate it a three stars because of the food. I came back a few days ago, the food is still inconsistent. I was thinking of ordering the new homemade meatloaf or the salmon. The bartender suggested the meatloaf so I went for it including mash potatoes and Caesar salad. The salad was good but meatloaf and mash potatoes were one of the greasiest dish I have ever tasted. It was drench with grease. I took two bites and that was it. I flagged down the bartender and showed the grease to her. She said that meatloaf is prepared like that and the manager said the mash potatoes was not stirred correctly which made it feel greasy. They were cool with me replacing my order with the salmon. The salmon was way better that the meatloaf. It was juicy and tasty. The sides I picked was the broccoli casserole. It was yummy. The restaurant is clean, the service is really good, and price is good too. But food still needs work and they need some sort of quality control in place so it can be consistently good. read more

Stopped in after my flight landed. Was not a good service. I ordered half ribs and half tenders with corn and fried my sis got shrimp dish. Let's start off that the fries was cold and 2 of my tenders. It the other tenders was ok. The ribs seemed like they have been sitting under the heat lamp in the back. It was dry. Finally someone came over told them about he fries and told them replace it with coleslaw (since it's cold) the the server came over and told her about the ribs. She said I can bring some more out, I refused and told her just bring me tenders in its place. My sis just took hers home to reheat herself. She did the change the price from the combo to tender dinner. No sincere apology and we hardly seen the server much. Not sure if she got over loaded but service was soso.
