I myself love cheddars! It's a good chain, their complimentary croissants are delicious. I personally love their bourbon chicken & shrimp or their burgers! They have a great queso appetizer as well if you're interested in that. The staff here is kind & well mannered. Always have had attentive service. My dad and I love going here, and for me it's for the salmon. It comes with a bourbon sauce that is sooo good and they do a good job most of the time cooking it to the right tenderness!! I got it with the green beans this time and I don't think I'll be choosing those again. Ohh and before your meal they bring out a free appetizer that's basically a dessert with a sweet butter style frosting, and OMG are they good!! If you've seen any of my reviews on here, you know what dessert as an appetizer means to me. It's the key to my heart!! I haven't been here in a few years because I did not much care for the menu. The menu has changed and there were some great choices. The blackened salmon was pretty good and the steamed broccoli was top notch. Service was a little slow but with it being hard to find enough workers and the place being packed, I give them a pass. If you are looking for a menu that has something for everyone, this place has you covered. There are loads of down home menu options. It's not a place to go if you are on a diet. There are too many delicious distractions. The wait staff was playful and fun. Overall the food was great. The only minor deduction was the complimentary honey butter croissants. I am very impressed with the food at this restaurant. I am familiar with this chain back in Illinois. However, it has been a few years since I have been to a Cheddars. After a little vacation in this town, I am glad to have returned. My wife, in-laws and I attended this location for an earlier dinner. Parking was plenty and the location was easy to find. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly. For appetizers, we got the honey butter croissants, and some cheese curds. Both were delicious. I love a good croissant, but my first time eating it with honey butter. I am addicted to this! The cheese curds were good with a side of ranch. I enjoyed this appetizer as well. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with a side of mashed potatoes and corn. I was very impressed with the amount of food because the steak was as big as the plate. Mashed potatoes and corn was amazing. Overall, the food was good. Serving size was huge, and the service was friendly. I had found a hair in my food, and of course, with how packed the resteraunt was, certain things are unavoidable. I was devasted, seeing how it is one of my favorite spots and was hesitant to make a big deal out of it. The manager and server were both so exemplery! My meal was covered, I had gotten a discount, against my better judgement! Since, they were always so hospitable and food and ambiance were always so wonderful, I wasn't so keen as to being that person! But, everyone was so warm, and sweet! Food in general was good, but my steak had enough peppercorns for three steaks. Service was great except where they seated us was the thoroughfare for the servers. Too noisy even for the waitress to hear our order,generally not an enjoyable experience. The young girl taking reservations was very rude and better suited for a receptionist at a junk yard!! First visit to Cheddar's and I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised! The warm honey butter croissant was a nice touch. The chips and queso was amazing and the portions for the price are great. For my entree I got the chicken fried chicken and it was so juicy and good quality chicken. The sides I got were the broccoli casserole and the mashed potatoes. The casserole was average but good and the potatoes hit the spot. Our server was nice and the food was out quick. Cheddars is a great family restaurant with excellent food choices on the menu and very, very reasonably priced. All of our food choices turned out wonderful. Food was cooked to perfection and tasted great! Staff is friendly and our waiter did a fantastic job with a large party of 10. We sat in the bar area on a Tuesday evening, and had great service. Spent over 50$ on full racks of ribs and sides. However, the broccoli is so small. It says in their ad on the Cheddar's website that free croissant for each person. However, we should have gotten 3 only got two. Broccoli was supposed to be two orders yet we got one side and it was skimpy. Will never do another take out order. Costs are no different between eating in or take out yet,the portions are much smaller in take out orders. Why? Because technically people are not taking up room to keep others from being seated to pay to eat. So,there's no reason the portion sizes should be different. read more

I had a great experience here. I ordered the ribeye steak with a salad and broccoli. The steak came perfectly cooked which is super surprising as I haven't had great luck in my recent past. The server was great and my drink was never empty...I drink pretty quickly. The atmosphere is the same as usually, slightly darker than most restaurants but I do like the relaxing feel. I have to admit, I really do love coming to Cheddars, I just don't go very often, because going to Cheddars means I need to be ready for a food coma. I like Cheddars because the wait staff is always phenomenal and the restaurant is always busy but it is always clean, you never see dishes piked up somewhere or stuff stacked on the hostess and wait staff stations. Cheddars is always packed, but they have a way of managing the flow of customers, so the wait if there is one isn't too long. However on a Sunday afternoon, mother's Day, Valentine's day, yeah you are going to wait, but it will still not be hours. There is also smokes parking, which is can be is short supply at this shopping center, depending or where you are shopping. The food is always delicious and the menu is quite extensive, though thankfully not as big as the cheesecake Factory. I love their onion rings, they are crispy and not greasy. But the drinks though, if they were closer to me, Cheddars would be my go to happy hour spot. The Texas Sweet pea was soooo good and strong and huge and less than $5, they will only serve 2 per customer, but 1 was more than enough. My date got the pain killer, man that thing was Goooooood and strong. Coconut cream, pineapple juice, the glass rimmed with toasted coconut. Woooweee, I'm in love, this drink also has a 2 per customer limit, but 1 was enough. This drink also was less than $5. Our dinner consisted of 2 drinks, I appetizer, a BBQ Chicken and Ribs dinner with 2 sides and a Grilled tilapia with shrimp dinner and 2 sides for all under $50. That's a great price for so much great tasting food. I will definitely be back. Why not 5 stars you ask? For 5 stars, I have to be blown away. My wife and daughters got manicures for my daughter's wedding and wanted to add a nice dinner to the event, and they chose Cheddar's. All the food was excellent, beginning with the app trio. New Orleans pasta, Key West chicken and shrimp, bourbon glazed pork chop, and the maple bacon chicken sandwich were our entrees, and each was superb. Kudos to the bar. Mimosas are not listed on the drinks menu, but the three of them were in that mood, and they were served up. Our server, Mike, did a great job, hitting the right balance of engaging us as guests without intruding. It was really puzzling at the very beginning, then, to have waited close to 10 minutes after we were seated before anyone came to the table, and that was after I had alerted the hostess to the problem. I have a suspicion, based on her response, that Mike was called in from the bullpen in relief for someone else. In any case it was the one glaring service breakdown in an otherwise excellent dining experience. read more

I was shocked to see people waiting outside at 5:50pm on a Monday. There was already a waiting list like 5 to 10 parties deep. It's that well-liked. Even then we got seated within 15 minutes, and then enjoyed everything we ordered. Monte Cristo was decadent, honey croissants were addictive as advertised, it was all tasty! It did, however, take an unusually long time to get our drinks. Service overall was somewhere between average to slow, even accounting for how busy the place was. Once the top shelf margaritas arrived they were pretty worth it though. Easily a place we would visit again because the food variety and quality were quite nice, especially for the price. We'll just hope to find a time when it's not quite as busy. read more

There was a group of women who had no concept of inside voice. Not much anyone could do about that. The food was disastrous. The Alfredo noodles were so over cooked they turned to mush. They brought the wrong hamburger - twice. Never got the actual burger we ordered and the one we accepted had no flavor. On the bright side, the country fried chicken was good. Not great just good. I've got a few college dudes that I mentor and I saw a deal for free chips and queso... coming to the end of the semester, we decided to drop in instead of our normal coffee routine. It's nicer than what we usually do, but it also doesn't break the bank... Cheddars is a nice looking restaurant and it's always pretty darn busy. You're unable to make reservations online, so you're going to have to try your luck with showing up at the right time. We came in on Monday and we were seated right away. Pretty lucky! We snagged that free chips and queso and it was actually really good. It came with a salsa, and I wasn't as much of a fan of that, but the queso was delicious. We ordered a second round of chips and finished off that appetizer before our food came out. So! Sign up for their E-Club a few days before you come in and get that free appetizer We were served by Nathan and he was incredible. He was vibrant, kind, and holy cow that guy probably walked a mile for our table just to make sure our waters were full the whole time. Great server. I've ordered the chicken fried steak before and really enjoyed it. However, tonight I rolled with the Smokehouse burger and was incredibly underwealmed. I ordered the burger Medium Rare, but it came out Medium Well. It jus seemed to really lack any luster to it and I definitely won't try that again the next time I come back. I asked for some ranch to help out with, but honestly, it's one of the few burgers that I haven't finished in my lifetime. (It might partly be because I had a ton of chips and queso before it came out too.) We were seated quickly, service was phenomenal, free appetizer was great... but it definitely put a damper on the meal when your main course doesn't match the rest of it. We went for a late lunch and ate at the bar. There were three other patrons. We ordered a bottle of wine and received two glasses out of the already open bottle. Reiterating that we would like the full bottle. Once that was cleared up we ordered an appetizer. We had to ask for water. We had to ask for silverware. I went here with a few co-workers yesterday for lunch and it was a great experience. I put in my name for the table of six and we were seated pretty quickly. Hannah was our server and she was awesome. Always smiling and super nice. I ordered the Grilled Salmon, with Bourbon Glaze, broccoli, and red beans and rice. All items were terrific. The salmon tasted extremely fresh and the red beans and rice was just awesome. The table and surrounding areas were very clean and organized. We were staying in town and had just drove from Denver and picked up our new travel trailer which was right across the street. They recommended to come here as we were just famished. Glad we did!! Ordered on line and even though towing a trailer they had us pull up in front and the very friendly server came out and asked our name. A few minutes later he was back with our meals. He was super friendly and we tipped him for that as well as having to run out in the pouring rain!! We parked in the huge parking lot and just ate in the trailer!! Chicken dinner plate was amazing as were the green beans were to die for. Coleslaw and potato salad were equally amazing. Best choice for dinner and were stuffed and thankful for a great hot meal after a very long day. Then we found out there is one in the town we are having our new house built in here in Arizona!! Only giving a 4 because of those AMAZING croissants with the honey butter, the service provided, and my boyfriend's meal. If it was based off of the chicken Alfredo you'd get a 2. I ordered the chicken Alfredo with grilled chicken and instead got Alfredo soup with what seemed to be a microwaved chicken. Nothing about the chicken resembled any "grilling."
