I love their food! Awesome buffalo tenders and steaks! Tasty appetizers and drinks! Service isn't always the best but we usually get the correct orders and drinks. I like the booths I hate when they seat us in the middle where the exotic fans are located. I like the fans but not being in between all the booths there. The mango tilapia is good! Ribeyes are juicy and well seasoned! The ribs fall off the bone and taste great! I like this place over Chilis n Roadhouse any day! The food quality is much better! A great place to grab a quick lunch or dinner with friends or family. I have been here numerous times and will continue to do so. They have great drinks that are at a great price for the sizing. My favorite is the Texas Margarita or the Maui frozen margarita, my friend loves their mojitos- a must have! In retrospect I should have just left when I ordered a Sierra Nevada beer off the menu and had to reassure the bartender that it was, in fact, actually a real drink. A random, unordered salad showed up, but my shrimp did not. One of my sides was little more than a spoonful. Food was absolutely delicious!!! Best food I have had in west texas by far... I had sweet and hot shrimp and my girlfriend had tilapia and shrimp and both were amazing. Downfalls: waiter obviously didn't care and it took us as long to get get our drinks as it did our food. The service was good the food that is other story. Salad was ok the honey mustard dressing was a little sour. I ordered the steak and ribs I like my steak medium rare, it came out more rare than medium the potato was not hot enough to melt the butter. I haven't been to this restaurant in years. Definite good memories. I came here with with family just to kill some time before headin to the airport. Our server Lanae couldn't have been more sweet. Definitely accommodating. Sure did spoil my Mom with tea. 5 stars for Lanae S. I also want to comment on another server, Oliver. He wasn't our server, but he didn't mind coming to us with a direct tone to say something to our table and walk off. Made us all very comfortable but it sounded very pointed. I later confronted him to ask him to repeat what he had said as he was so quick to rush off. He repeated "I don't want to hear that here." I asked him to clarify. He was referring to a member of our parties language. I knew what he was referring to and apologized as we are on a family restaurant and of course shouldn't be happening. But as I tried to express how there was a more constructive way to raise such topic to customers. He responded with "I said what I had to say." And before he rushed off again I asked him to please bring me the manager. As I waited the bartender was kind enough to offer me a shot. I smiled and politely declined (Totally regret!) but thanked her for even asking. The manager ,WT, could not have been more receptive. He allowed to say my piece and gave me relied that he would do exactly what I asked of him, which was PLEASE use this as a coaching opportunity for Oliver. Even as he and I were talking Oliver would pass by and just wave his hands at our discussion as if it wasn't even worth the time. I felt hurt. My mother and aunt didn't want to stay anymore but I mentioned that Lanae (our actual server) shouldn't be deprived of a serving opportunity just because of Oliver. We've gone here before and have had good experiences, but tonight wasn't one of them. After our wait, we were seated and ordered our drinks and appetizers. Our spinach dip arrived and was good but that was the only food we saw for the night. Our waitress checked on us once to refill our drinks after we placed our orders then we weren't checked on or given food for an hour. After asking our waitress where our food was, we waited 5 more minutes and were told that the manager was supposed to inform us about what happened, but we saw nobody other than the waitress. The waitress told us that after the appetizers were brought, the ticket for our food was sent to the kitchen and somehow lost; She said she was as annoyed as us, told us "they" (kitchen or manager, I'm unsure) had messed up other's orders, and said our food would be out after another 20 minutes and asked us to write down everything that happened, although she failed to give us any pen or paper to write our experience. As we live out of town and drove here for my brother's birthday, we were upset with how things went. read more

Went to have dinner to Cheddars like I usually do on Saturday with the family, only this time I was disappointed! To the point I had to write a review. I had a server named Tanya that was completely unattentive from the very beginning she gave a vibe that she didn't care. She brought our drinks that were watered down then she brought us our appetizer order and then took long to take our order. We sat there waiting for her to bring us new drinks that never happened. Then she took our order and we sat there an hour before she came to tell us that our order would be out shortly, after seeing that several tables were getting their food we waved down a manager to tell her we were ready to leave. We had waited 2 hours for a salad and chicken tenders and fish. The manager insisted on taking care of the bill but we decided to pay anyways because we were not there for a free meal. She later told us that they had lost our ticket. We asked for our food to be boxed and we paid. The kids were frustrated beyond this point. Tanya came back and said thanks have a good day. She was not appologitic for ruining our dinner nor did it look like she cared. The manager apologized so really the server was the one to blame for this terrible experience. read more

This is a very generous two stars and the only thing rescuing this place is the cold, reasonably priced drinks. We were told a 20-25 minute wait and grabbed a drink from the bar and started to wait. At around 20 minutes we were sat, and this is where the enjoyable evening begin to take a turn for the worse. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. Once the waitress took our order we did not see her again until our entrees were delivered. I asked about the status of our appetizer and she said she would go check, which I immediately said to ignore it. We again never saw her again until 10 minutes after eating our food and had to ask for our check, which was another 10 minute ordeal. We came in as a group of twelve and they would not accommodate us with a table large enough instead they tried to split us into two groups. I asked them if we could just move a couple of tables together and the manager said she would but they don't do that for groups they split them. Well, after a long hard week, we went for what we expected to be a good meal. Unfortunately, that was not what we had. The waitress was pleasant enough, but the entree orders were incorrect with wrong sides and missing sides, and a never delivered appetizer. Add on the fact that both the first and second attempt at cooking a medium steak failed miserably, and instead of simply resolving the matter by comping the steak and moving on, they opted to remove the steak and charge for an additional side of shrimp as a substitute for the botched steaks. So, after a conversation with both the kitchen and front of house manager, and an explanation that really didn't make much sense, the final resolution was an appropriately calculated discount with what appeared to be a sincere apology. While much appreciated, I still think there is an inherent problem with the communication, education, and culinary skills that seem to be sorely lacking at this location. I hope this and other similarly scored reviews that may be posted will help that issue be resolved sooner rather than later, for the sake of all future Cheddar's customers. read more

We dined at the Odessa location Sunday evening. We ordered our meal along with a side salad. The salad didn't arrive until just a couple of minutes before out meal arrived and it was not cold but warm. No croissante with either one of our salads. My meal was a 8 oz steak with carrots and baked potatoe and my wifes was lemon peppered chicken with carrots and broccoli casserole. My steak was half medium rare and the other half well done. The potatoe was cold and the carrots were cold. My wife's lemon peppered chicken was very dry and seasoned way too much with lemon pepper and her carrots were cold and the broccoli casserole was cold. A different waiter brought our food and we asked for a refil of tea. We never received it. We finished our meal and finally the waiter came by threw our bill down and ran off. We finally got him to take our money and I left a 6 cent tip for the little that he did. We won't be back. We also saw several outher couples who were having the same treatment as we received. Several complained and they were still waiting for their food to come back from the kitchen when we left. read more
