Just ate there for the first time. The place was clean and comfortable. The menu had something for everyone. Our waitress did try to move us along - but was very nice. The food was very good (chicken and waffles, buffalo wrap, onion rings, beers). We went hungry and could not eat all the food. And, the best part was it was all very affordable. came in to the local London Cheddars about 3:15 PM Sunday Dec 8th and there were about 3 girls at the hostess station. One girl told us a table for two would be about 30 minutes. We were the only one seated and waiting. We had a seat and in about 5 minutes a couple came in with a small child and were immediately seated Immediately behind them was a couple (two people) who were also immediately seated. I gave the girl back the call box and my husband told them we were only two people and they had seated the couple that just came in immediately and we had been waiting for about 10 minutes at that time. She just shrugged, and we left the restaurant and we spent out money at Shilo's and will not return to Cheddars. Maybe the management needs to do a little more training. read more

Went there from the airport to eat with my brother who flew in from Texas (military) quickly before he had to fly back. Our serve Mike was literally the most awful server I've ever had in my life. He took our drink order and we didn't get our drinks for 15 minutes...not exaggerating. Then he forgot he had not took our order! Had to ask a few times for our appetizer that I might add was chips and salsa. All in all we were in the restaurant for over two hours waiting on lunch. & the place wasn't busy! Poor quality food. Broccoli casserole is broccoli and velveeta. The hostess was rude and the specials were standard items off the menu. Really? Wine pours were less than 3oz and does anyone in the kitchen know what medium rare looks like. No apologies from the manager for poorly prepared food. read more

OK I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants but was visiting family and this was where they wanted to go. We ordered a couple of apps when we got there the cheese bites and the Onion rings. The cheese bites were OK. The Onion rings were phenomenal. Not a bad start. There were 9 of us and I felt sorry for the server because 3 or 4 were particularly needy and kept her running. Well 3 people ordered steak, one ordered a smokehouse burger, a couple of vegetarian plates, some chicken tenders,some sort of sandwich and I ordered the New Orleans pasta. Here is what I heard about the food. 2 out of 3 loved the steak, the vegetarians were happy. Heard a comment that the Cole slaw wasn't very good and the Caesar salad was drowned in dressing. I wasn't expecting much from the New Orleans pasta. I have eaten in authentic Cajun restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised. It actually had seared chicken thighs and the sausage was quite possibly andouille. Nothing to knock your socks off but it was decent. Service was decent as well. So I give a solid 3 stars. read more

Awful. The new exterior/interior masks the mediocre food and very poor service. Our server did not explain the menu (and although the menu didn't state up-charges, another $5 was added to our bill for such - surprisingly, the waiter acted like he wasn't complicit in the omissions). My wife ordered a beer - when the waiter brought her the right brand, wrong beer type, he said that's all they have - even though the menu states the one my wife wanted - he wasn't overly concerned nor offered to take it back immediately. Additionally the bill stated that we received croissants with the meal (and Yelp shows a picture of them)... well, they missed again and weren't part of our meal - another poor showing. My wife's fish was not edible (she said it tasted "fishy") and my meal was less that good (the potato was served cold and the shrimp undercooked and obviously were frozen - my mistake ordering seafood at such a place). The best thing we ate was off our kid's plate - the chicken fingers. Lastly, the men's bathroom had a tower of paper towels overflowing from the trash next to the door - hey, I'm glad folks are using them to open the door handle but the staff needs to be on this. Hence this all falls to poor management. Next time we pass through London, we'll look elsewhere. read more

We came in and ate on the outside. Everything was amazing. Food came out quick. Spinach dip was really good and Christina our waitress, gave us extra chips. She was a very friendly and polite server. I highly recommend the montecristo sandwich. It is a deep fries turkey delicacy. Thank you Cheddar' s for a great experience. read more

After waiting for 45 minutes to get a table, we were made to wait even longer to get our food, and when we received it, one order had raw chicken in it, and another had a couple of random nacho chips mixed in with an Italian dish. My wife and I were on vacation and decided to stop to eat lunch (this was on November 5, 2016) . I saw this place, noticed there were a lot of cars in the parking lot, so we decided to check it out. We had never heard of a Cheddar's before. Wow, we were impressed! The restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere. We were seated immediately. Our waitress (sorry I forgot her name) was very pleasant and friendly. She brought our water and coffee right away. We loved the decor of the place! The huge fish tank made for a nice warm relaxing ambience. The music, if I remember correctly, was top forty, but set at a pleasant volume. The food was excellent! I ordered a caesar salad and he was big and full of many veggies, all of them ripe (not greenish tomatoes you often are served at restaurants). My wife ordered a mushroom Swiss burger that she said was cooked to perfection. I asked the waitress if this was a chain and she told me it was and there were a few in Ohio, as well. She also told us that they were usually busier, but the restaurant across the street was offering free food, so their business was down some. Really! It seemed pretty busy to us. I looked around and noticed smiles on all the other costumer's faces. When I was paying the bill I found the manager and complimented on running such a fine restaurant. He told me that there is a Cheddar's the recently opened in Lafayette, Indiana. That is good news to us, because we live only 45 minutes form there. By the way are bill came to about $15.00 dollars. Went to this location last night for dinner. We were seated immediately, which was good. Ordered our drinks and an appetizer which came to the table luke warm! Placed our order and waited! Drinks got empty and we sat there while our waiter cleared tables and took orders before he refilled our drinks, and we continued to wait for our food. After being told numerous times our food would be right out we continued to wait. As we watched other tables get their food we still waited! Our waiter then tells us the kitchen messed up our order and it would be out in about 5 minutes. When that 5 minutes were up I threw a $20.00 on the table for the food we did get and walked out! Needless to say that was an hour and 15 minutes after we were seated! Won't go there again! read more

Probably one of the worst to go experiences ever - and I order to go constantly when I travel. Stopped by on a Friday night at 10:30 and knew to order something simple. Chicken with dijon mustard sauce, steamed broccoli and a salad. Headed to my hotel to check in as had been going since 8 am. Finally got to sit down, relax and have dinner. Salad was supposed to have egg and other ingredients. Nothing. Just lettuce, a couple half tiny tomatoes and three croutons. Oh well, so be it. Then to the chicken. Opened up the container and it is chicken and rice, no sauce. Dry, nearly inedible chicken and bland rice. It was too late to take it back, so I called and asked for the manager. Omar or Homer, not sure. But he could care less and give a da_n about me and my order. His response was "oh well" and "so?" I said I expect an apology. He was silent and then said "so what." I hung up. Have fun dealing with AMEX on this as I will not be paying for this service or food that is inedible. Skip this place. The Gondolier across the interstate is much better and actually CARES about its customers. read more

When they first opened you couldn't beat the food nowhere now after the workers have left that they brought in from the others locations the food is terrible . They need to bring some of the workers back from the other stores and let them train the cooks a lot better ! read more

Tonight was our first trip to the London Cheddars, but we have eaten at several other Cheddars, and love the food and service that we have gotten. London was a whole different experience. When we arrived, we were told that the wait would be about 15 minutes, which was fine until they started seating others who had arrived after us. Finally, when I asked the hostess about it, she said that she had accidentally marked us off the list! When we got our appetizer (onion rings), they were COLD! Then, it took almost 30 minutes to get our food. The lemon pepper chicken was good, but the rice was cold. My son's red beans and rice had no rice. I don't plan to go back. read more
