I got a double bacon cheeseburger with a side of home fries. I had them put an egg over easy on top of my burger. The food was cooked perfect. It's was so good. Sunday after noon is the perfect time to come. Service was wonderful. Didn't have to wait too long. They always come back to check on you see if you need anything. The restaurant is clean. Good place to come if you want something other than fast food. Something that taste great and will get your belly full at a decent price. Ohh the burger was well seasoned. Smash burger type for those that haven't been. The cook is excellent. I will highly recommend this place. read more

Royal Waffle King - A very hungry person - New American Near Me - Somerset, Kentucky

Exactly what you're looking for. I travel for work and love finding little hole in the wall greasy spoon diners, and this one hit the mark. I'm not sure the servers name, but she was nice, attentive, and as friendly as you'd expect from your server. I had the #1 and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked crispy bacon, tasty biscuit and gravy, and eggs cooked to perfection. If you're in town, you must go! read more

Having been a regular patron before Covid, whatever happened in the last year had really impacted this establishment. New waitress struggled and grill cook needs serious training. For 4 sandwiches and fries and one steak that was ran through a warm room, our total of $90 was a shock. It didn't add up right. The amount of fries included was underwhelming, not as it was in the past. Also, they have to have a roach problem as I am highly allergic and my calf was left with a welt and rash from just touching the bench we were seated on. I have to say, we won't be back. It's much easier to find another dinner of quality for the price we paid without the cleanliness and lack of care for the food we encountered. You can check my reviews, there are plenty of nice places to eat in this area. read more

How does this place even stay open there's roaches crawling every where in the kitchen. And I sure don't want any of those people serving me I went in by myself self one day and the server came to my table and was taking my order and she had track marks all over her arms. They need a different Manger that's for sure read more

Outstanding American food. The service was a little slow but he servers were friendly. The cheese steak omelet was outstanding with the hashbrowns. Texas Toast on the there as well. read more

I'd say this place definitely deserves the three stars. I went on Friday morning. Kinda weird location being attached to another store. The waitress was nice. She seemed to be sick, so I'm glad she didn't hang out too much. And I didn't get sick afterwards, so all was well there. She was also pretty helpful with the questions I had, so good on her. I got a single biscuit and gravy and then an egg, over medium, and hashbrowns with green peppers and jalapeño. The egg was cooked exactly as I asked, so that's always a bonus. I hate runny yolk. It wasn't made with any salt, pepper, butter... nothing. In fact, besides the peppers, the entire meal was extremely bland. The gravy had that 'fresh out of the can' feel. Gravy isn't difficult to make. Why not make REAL gravy?!? This is Kentucky. Aren't you guys southern enough to be known for biscuits and gravy? The place was clean, well lit. Honestly, it looked like a Waffle House someone bought to turn into a not-Waffle House. Lots of old people. One family with a kid they refused to parent. The price was adequate. Too much for too little flavor. I won't make a special trip, but it isn't a place I would turn down to eat at. read more

This place reminds me of a Waffle House or Huddle House. Food was decent and service was quick. Prices aren't bad for the amount of food. read more

This restaurant is like a Waffle House, that's the best way to describe it. Our waitress was fantastic, super friendly and helpful, had a smile on her face the entire time we were there. Our wait was a little longer than we would have liked but they were busy and we could tell everyone was doing the best they could. The food was really good. The restroom was out of hand soap but I informed the staff. read more

Good food but we (2) walked in 25 mins before close Please don't hate on me, it was all that sounded good & there was no reason for it to take that long to eat when they barely have any cars. They told us they were about to close and already had the grill shut down. Lights were still on and everything. Very disappointing read more

The menu has expanded and is updated. The sandwich Platter with the Grilled Chicken Melt was great with fries,hash-browns and baked beans if more than enough the fill the hungriest customer. Finish it off with some Strawberry Short Cake, and you will be full all day. The service was fast and efficient. gives you the feel of the 1950-60s dinner atmosphere and the noise was minimum. You could actually carry on a conversation with out having to scream across the table Would recommend and will be back. read more

I have only been a handful of times but every time was good food and not too loud environment.

The food was delicious and a good price. Staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Travelled out of town for a wedding and this place was close to the hotel. Neither myself or my fiancé had heard of this place before. In our area we have the Waffle house. We expected this place to be similar to that. We were right, but this place is better! The menu has more options and the food was better. The staff were friendly too. We decided the next time we're in the area that we will definitely eat there again! read more

Dingy, dark. I honestly do not remember anything except that there was a huge question regarding cleanliness. Our server was super nice and attentive but I seriously doubt we will return read more

Little disappointed I guess it's what cook you get . Order cheesy eggs and salsa on the side waitress brought me marinara sause sausage was over cooked. Got new eggs no cheese. Seem they like to talk behind bar then work. Customers are not getting waited on. Need a Waffle House here instead. read more

So I normally don't leave bad reviews but I swear our waitress was high on something every time we asked for something we had to repeat ourselves and I don't mean once I swear it was like taking to a 3 year old and then when I asked for another straw she threw it at me because mine was broke I asked to see a manager and she said if I had a complaint to call this number +1 (502) 653-0365 wich then someone answers they say hello and then proceed to tell you to f off so I don't think it's the real number she got our orders wrong and the drinks wrong and then proceeds to tell my heavyset friend that what he ordered was high in fat and she didn't recommend that then proceeded to tell him he should have a salad I wouldn't recommend coming here on a Sunday night normally it's nice but don't do it on a Sunday night my cheese sticks WAS HOLLOW AND THE HOT SAUCE BOTTLE WAS COVERED IN HAIR! read more

I normally really enjoy Waffle King, but today was a little off. Odd smell when we walked in quickly dispersed. The food was just kinda meh. I normally enjoy the #1 Royal combo meal. Lets me get lots of food for not a lot of price, little comfort food with options toast or biscuits; Bacon Sausage or Ham, etc. Today the eggs were over cooked, the gravy tasted like it had sat way too long and just ick. Anyway its a Waffle joint and I don't expect much but was disappointed. read more

Waffles were good, I mean I'd put it up there with the Waffles house. Service was ok.. Nothing like "WOW, WAFFLES" Plus, you get them all day long! read more

We were seated and asked what we would like to drink. We both said coffee and cream and Splenda. Waited at least 10 minutes, no menu or anything, and 1 coffee was brought back with sweet and lo and then acted as if it were our fault. We gave her our order, still no menus, and then the wait began. After being there 45 minutes and no food we told our waitress we couldn't wait any longer. She said your coffee is $1.75 each!! Wow is all I can say. We won't be back. read more

Waited a hour for french toast got it and it was cold told them and they just put it in the microwave and brought it back

OK... I get it, it's a diner... LAte night diner in The South... BUT, when I see a nacho cheese dispenser squirting fake cheese onto " cheese fries " I can't help but say WTF. So horrible. Why can't they just use actual cheese? My omelette was decent and everything else was whatever. The service sucked balls... But if you're looking for a place to get a coffee and chain smoke inside... This is it. Watch out for the old southern ladies with huge white hair. They like to stare. read more
