We were looking for pizza in Somerset and found this place. We're really looking for a place that we could sit down and have a cold beer with our pie. We sat at the bar and had excellent service and the bartender allowed us to taste multiple beers before we landed on the ones we wanted. The beers were cold and delicious. The pizza was one of the best tasting pizzas I've had in a long time. Plenty of toppings and very stringy cheese. We will definitely be coming back when we're in Kentucky. read more

The first table we were sat at, was extremely wobbly. We tried to fix it by adding napkins, to the legs and it didn't work, so we went to another available table! The waitress was fine and attentive! The bathrooms had trash overflowing! Get a bigger trashcan if you're not going to dump it because it wasn't like you were extremely busy! This isn't the first time I've seen it overflowing! I do like this restaurant, but trash overflowing is a simple fix. There were four of and we split two medium size pizzas! It was like ours sat out a bit because it wasn't extremely hot. It was more of a warm. Don't let mine sit out. read more

Was in town for the week and this place was great. A bit of a long wait for the food to come out but was well worth it. Some of the best pizza I've ever had and had no idea Kentucky had such a great spot! The music and atmosphere was fun and light too. Ate way too much because I couldn't stop eating- it was that good read more

We have always goten carry out from here during COVID, and never had a sit down meal. I have to say,it was much better that I expected baased on several of the local reviews. We went with the Marley pizza, a combination of Jerk chicken and Italian Sasuage. The Honey Sriracha wings were amazing. The Beer Cheese is always great but I really love the Spicy Beer Cheese. The steak and cheese hogie is the best. We will be back. read more

Our pizzas were so good we forgot to snap a picture. 2 kids split a small, half pepperoni which was 2 slices a piece. 3 adults split a large Super Pep pizza and we had a piece left over. We recommend ordering it as it comes. The peppers created a great flavor. We also ate during happy hour and enjoyed 1/2 price margaritas. Not as big as Mexican restaurant portion however they were tasty! Pleasant server and we always love the unique vibe of a Mellow Mushroom. read more

Love Mellow Mushroom. Super cool & chill place. I wish we had one close to home. Can't go wrong with the pizza. I personally love their jerk wings. It's not on the menu but you can ask for them that way. You can pick any two for pizzas. I love all of their unique flavored choices. A lot of vegetarian options too. Cheese bread was really good & we all enjoyed our pizza & wings. read more

That atmosphere is always nice and relaxed. The food is always consistently good and comes out hot. Our servers have always been well trained and very attentive. If you are in a hurry though, just calm down and prepare to wait. It will be worth it if you are dining in. If there is one complaint, it comes with ordering online. This is something we have had trouble with in regards to the amount of time it takes to get our order and the correct order being given to us when it is finally done. The last time we ordered online, I had to wait for an extra hour to get my order after being given the wrong order. The young man at the register told me he made a note and would have a manager refund me my money. That never happened. So pay attention and be patient when ordering online. read more

Good variety on menu. Got exactly what I ordered, and the food was fresh. Friendly service. LIstened well.

Loved my Pizza. We also had spinage/artichoke dip, and other meals at the table ...our first time there, but it will not be our last. Loved the design, it was inviting. Waitress Michelle was awesome, she was a positive ray of sunshine. She gave us the background of the restraunt, suggestions on food choices, jokes and was very pleasant, but not over the top. She checked on us regularly which was nice. The only down side was no Moscato wine... pricing seemed a little high, but the portions and quality was worth it in my opinion. Would I recommend, for others to go there Abosolutely. Judge for yourself and go.... read more

This was our first visit to Mellow Mushroom after moving to the area and we were very pleased. They offer a GF build your own pizza which was delicious but next time we might ask them to keep it in the oven a little longer for a more crispy crust like we prefer. No complaints and excellent service while seated in the bar area. read more

We ordered the "made to order calzones ". Hot, fresh and delicious. The service was excellent and the decor was lovely.

Always love Mellow Mushroom. Food was excellent as usual. We noticed they overcharged us for drinks, and the server just acknowledged

Had dinner here tonight for the first time and the pizza here is fabulous and all the flavors amazing! Our waitress was Michelle who is extremely attentive and caring. We think it should be renamed as golden mushroom, as we definitely recommend the "golden mushroom", And we'll be back and share it with all our friends and family! Yes, it may take a bit wait to get your food but what you get is absolutely fresh with fabulous flavor. The pizza crust is tasty and wonderful, the fun kind you reheat with garlic butter. It's definitely worth any wait. read more

We sat at the bar so we could see the college football game. The bartender was very friendly. The menus look like they're printed in the 70's and they're groovy. You just can't find good pizza in the south but this place comes very close. We'd definitely eat here again. read more

Love me some Mellow Mushroom! We stopped in and took out 4 pizzas and some pretzels. It's worthy! I've eaten these pizzas at a couple locations and my experiences are all the same! Visited Somerset on a recent 4 day trip and decided to eat here on a Sunday afternoon to watch the football games. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away by Sam the bartender. Sam is awesome! He's super friendly and genuinely seems to like his job! It was Happy Hour, so we enjoyed some bourbons, and had two of the best pizzas ever! I had the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and my husband had the Holy Shiitake Pizza. I highly recommend them if your looking for great pizza, great happy hour and great staff! Keep up the good work Sam! Pizza: Great White: 5/5 - this was honestly my favorite pizza! I got the gluten free crust and I honestly couldn't taste a difference! Wings: 2/5 - these I were actually super disappointed with. They were cold upon pick up and were not hot at all. service: the ladies who took care of my pickup were very nice! I travel a lot for work so it was nice to have a small conversation. Overall, not a bad place to grab some grub from! read more

I've been to a mellow mushroom in VA, and it was amazing so we decided to come here and try it out. I looked at pictures on yelp and it looked good but when I got my pizza it looked like a cheap 5$ pizza. Look at the toppings the cheese, And this was 24$. Flavor of the Wings were pretty good. What you want, however you like it...lots of options for appetizers, salads, hoagies, pizza, and more. Congenial and attentive staff. This place seems large and more spacious than the local MM near our home. Bright, nicely lighted, eclectic decor, buzzing with good vibes. Great selection of draft beers including a rotating list of local (and nearby) brews. Full bar as well. If we are ever back in the area, we'll likely stop again. read more

Pizza is great! A little price and I love their salads! Service is always great! Bar area has some great drinks and specials!

After a long day on the road with 2 starving teens in the back seat withering away to nothing we were lookin for a local (not a chain) place to eat. We caught this place out of the corner of our eye as we drove the main road looking. After scouting out the area we drove back to the Mellow Mushroom to check the place out. I'm glad we did as the place looked lively inside and the atmosphere was friendly. After being seated at our table we were greeted by Jasmine our server. Her personality made us feel like we were old friends. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Pretzel Bites and Cheese Bread. The pretzel bites came with a dip that was good enough to eat with a spoon by itself. Jasmine was patient and answered all our questions regarding the choices on the menu. I had the steak and cheese calzone which was great tasting also supplied me with 1/2 of it to savor at a later date. My wife had the Pizzaiola Burger minus the garlic aioli (she's a picky eater). The two teens had ordered pizza to feast on and looked great and they said it tasted great. The teens also had the Time for a Sunday with the Cookie which looked as good as it tasted. There was a kitchen screw up though. I really hate to have to add this part in but our pizza was made but for some reason never made it to the oven. The place upsized the pizza for the error. This would normally cause the loss of stars but because of Jasmine and her attentiveness the place gets them back. The magic mushroom soup sounds inviting so the next time in town I'll try that. Does it really have magic mushrooms in it? If you go.......ask for Jasmine! read more

Mellow Mushroom Somerset - Avoid this place like the plague today. 30 min wait for 4 people. Been here an hour waiting on my food. They say kitchen is behind. - Pizza Near Me - Somerset, Kentucky

Food is good but not amazing and very overpriced. 2 calzones, 1 hoagie and 2 drinks were 58$$$. I asked for potato tots and received 10, some of which were burned. I like the food but the steak house or Mexican is more reasonably priced. This has to be about 400% markup. Just not worth the cost. read more

Clean, friendly staff and good food. Our server Michelle was great. She was super busy, but very nice and attentive to our needs. Like most places they were short staffed but, she had a great attitude and did her best. She made great recommendations on what to order and everything we tried was delicious. We had the pretzel bites, the bruschetta, the meat lovers pizza and the did a 1/2 & 1/2 of the White Pizza and the karma, so good. Be kind to the people that show up to work in the restaurants you visit. They are there cooking your food and serve it to you with a smile Be nice & tip them well read more

Ok, vacationers... this is a solid spot. I am a native and have rolled back in a few times this summer and just let me say I am just happy to go out at have beer with good Christian people! :P When I eat at a chain restaurant I want it to live up to what corporate expects and this place holds its own. Went for happy hour on a weekday. Good beer selection on draft, we had some pretzel bites that were yummy... but the shiitake pizza was the highlight! My cousin said it's so good it makes your eyes roll back in your head. read more
