This is solid pizza! Will definitely be back! Large seating area with a nice bar area too. The place was clean - food for a family lunch or dinner. I really enjoyed the Buffalo chicken pizza and the pesto breadsticks. Great Hot Pizza, Excellent Service. Child Friendly place. We started off with the Wings, as I always try wings everywhere they are offed. The Orange Flavored one as a unique you will find with wings. However, I preferred their Sweet Chili ones. The Buffalo Chicken Bacon Ranch was fantastic but lacked some heat. The Supreme without the ham, is my preferred option. Others in our party had some of their sandwiches, The rare Stromboli is a jewel in the sandwich election, with some amazing marinara sauce. The Hoagie buns are toasted just right with out any burn or scorched marks on them. They have a traditional flair of a pizzeria from years ago with a relaxing atmosphere. I took my wife and son to Downtown Pizza last night and incurred the following issues. Service: Although it was busy, our server was absolutely snotty towards us. she said there would be a 30 minute wait. Crowded? Short handed? The server wouldn't say. She was not very friendly. We ordered a large pizza and a regular sized cheese bread. We asked if we could get the cheese bread before the pizza and she obliged. We ordered drinks and talked baseball before our order arrived. After 30 minutes, the server , very distant and coldly brought us our order. We received a 12 inch pizza (large?) and our cheese bread at the same time. After some conjuring we finally got the attention. She explained that this WAS our large pizza. Other servers I asked said it was a medium size, not a large. We were charged for a large pizza. Food: The pizza we received was over cooked and low on the ingredients we asked for. 3 slices had no ingredients at all! It was one lousy pizza. The cheese bread was dried out as if it was place under a heating lamp for too long. I was tired from the day I had, we ate the pizza and left. I did not leave a tip and signed the slip with a happy face and we left. Ironically, this is military appreciation week. I wore my Patriotic T-shirt and Navy hat as I am military retired. I never asked for a discount of any kind and received none. I don't care, I just want to enjoy pizza with my family and go home. I left no tip as a tip is to ensure good food and service. We received none of these. We will not be back and I implore anyone else not to patronize this so-called restaurant. There is a small pizza place a couple of miles away called Eubank Pizza. They make great pizza and the staff is very friendly. All we wanted to do was something different and we always liked Burnside, KY. We live in Somerset, KY, just on the other side of the Cumberland River bridge. Burnside is a wonderful little town, it's too bad about Downtown Pizza. read more

Pizza is above average. It compares to Mellow Mushroom without the high price. The apps are reasonably priced. However, they charge for credit cards and force you to put your takeout order on a credit card if it is over 50 dollars. Management needs some customer services classes. read more

Food was good, however they add fees to your order and dont tell you ahead of time. My total for 2 lg pizzas was told 43.42 when we arrived to pick up the pizza we were told the total was 50.58. When we asked about it they said it was admin fees and fees for using our card. What a rip off. We wint be going there any more. Between all our family ordering tonight. If you were familiar with the old Seven Gables location, and some of the previous failed restaurants, the building hasn't changed much. A full service bar has been added in the right side, but the left side dining room is pretty much the same. The food however is pretty good . We both had the salad bar. Nothing special, but had everything we needed. We ordered a medium supreme pizza and it was very good. Thick crust, mild tomato sauce and all the standard toppings. Served hot. Cold draft beer--good hot pizza--attentive service. What more could you want. Worth the trip to Burnside. read more

I am a local and I try to support local businesses. I only live a few miles away and I have supported this pizza pub and their coffee shop across the street multiple times- eat in, carry out, delivery, etc., This weekend after coming off the lake, I was hot and tired so I decided to place an order on Door Dash. An HOUR after I placed my order (two items) it still showed the driver was waiting on the order. I contacted the driver who said the order wasn't ready yet. I waited another 15 minutes, and there was still no update, so I called the restaurant directly. The hostess put me on hold and when she came back she said that they had not even started on my order, and that they had 3 more pizzas to make and then they would work on Door Dash. When I told her that I placed the order over an hour before, she just said that they take care of the customers in the restaurant first- no apology for the wait at all. Well, I am a paying customer too, but not anymore. Also, the Door Dash driver was sitting there waiting all that time and missing out on other jobs. I canceled the order and drove to a different local pizza place just up the road which I will support from now on. I understand being busy, but the attitude that I was not a REAL customer and therefore should wait two hours for one pizza is why I won't be back. read more
