Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich
Stephanie D.

First time here and it was just ok for me. We sat at the bar (not my choice) and ordered with the bartender. I got the lunch special chicken sandwich and it came with fries. One of the people I was with ordered an appetizer for the "table" so I ate that as well. I had a few of the cheese curds from the platter. They were good but not the best I've ever had. The bread they gave for the "table" was DELICIOUS!! Had to stop myself from eating more than one piece. The food came and I was very surprised at how big the sandwich was. It had two pieces of chicken, one big one small, and by that time I wasn't too hungry anymore since I ate all the appetizers and stuff. I took the bun and put it to the side and ate the bigger piece of chicken. It was good but a little over seasoned in my opinion. Our server was fantastic! I wish I could remember her name but I don't. I'll say tho that my meal was $9 and change and I gave her a $5 tip cause she was amazing and the nicest, sweetest person. Not sure if I would go back but it was good. I think I'd have to be in the mood for that type of cuisine.

Great service and good meal. Wow the portions are huge. We both got enough for two meals. I loved my cornmeal fish with coleslaw and broccoli. And those honey butter croissants are delicious. He had the Cajun pasta and enjoyed it. We will definitely return

* Smelled good walking up * Bit of a sewer smell inside * Water is awful, even with lemon * "Bread for the table" was AMAZING! * Salmon had no flavor * Fries were not crispy: kind of stale, weren't served warm but salted well * Solid steak: a little under seasoned and dry but cooked well and pretty decent for the price, money band (cap) was perfect * Carrot cake was fire!! * Everything else was very good, especially the red beans and rice * Server Wyatt dialed it in for us!

Top Sirloin Steak & Baked Potato with French Fries

This is probably my eighth different Cheddar's location I have dined in and it didn't disappoint. We had a friendly and attentive server who took care of our needs and requests. I ordered my usual Cornmeal White Fish with Red Beans & Rice and Green Beans. When my food arrived I counted six fillets of fish. The fish was so good I ate five of them and took one home that was equally good when reheated the next day. My granddaughter ordered a steak with a baked potato and fries. Her grandmother ordered salmon with red beans and rice and a baked potato. Everyone loved their food and ate as much as they could but we still needed to go boxes.

Gotta say this place is clean and has a good staff and the food was good as well. It's nothing amazing but it's good price and good food!

Country Fried Chicken

We ordered takeout because we didn't have a lot of time to get lunch. I ordered the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes no gravy and corn. What I hadn't counted on is because I didn't order gravy with my mashed potatoes, they didn't put gravy on the chicken I mean who eats country fried chicken without gravy lol that's the point. Oh well, I guess nobody gets it right 100% of the time.

Creamy Garlic Tilapia & Shrimp

Visiting from Toronto and this place looked a tad more elevated compared to the surrounding options. For three of us, we paid $70 USD and took about two portions of servings home as leftovers. Considering this, the pricepoint was terrible. But unfortunate to say, the flavours were not what I was expecting. The spinach dip wasn't salty enough. Some onion rings were still raw and the breading was floppy, and the Creamy Shrimp and Tilapia was too much sauce, not enough fillings. I did enjoy the taste of the tilapia, but even the rice in it wasn't cooked all the way through. Had some of my friends' pastas and the New Orleans Pasta seemed good, but the Alfredo shrimp pasta was also very bland.

Burger and fries

The food was okay. The price for the amount of food is very good though. The salsa did not taste like fresh salsa with fresh ingredients. The yellow queso was okay, but I prefer white queso. We also got shrimp, chicken tenders, a burger and steak. The flavors were just not amazing, they were missing something. Service was exactly 30 minutes for online ordering and pick up. The outside of the restaurant was clean and parking was plentiful. The lighting on the outside was not on yet, but if it's like any other Cheddars, it is probably very pretty.

New ownership, too many changes to what I liked before the change. Food less than average. Service was good.

While traveling in northern Kentucky, he stumbled upon one of these places, The Farmstand Market & Cafe. Farmstand offers comfort food with a farm-to-table focus served in a cozy space with a bar and attached market. We started with the Goetta Hanky Panky Dip. This was made with cheesy goetta, bagel chips, pumpernickel bread, and light rye served in a cast iron skillet. The dip had a good sausage flavor with salt and some light spice while being cheesy, creamy, and full of flavor. The bagel chips were very crispy but were not served warm. The pumpernickel and rye were dry. Each complimented the dip, adding texture to the bite. My wife had the Reuben Sandwich. This sandwich came with sliced corned beef, homemade Thousand Island, pickled pig sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on light rye with bacon ranch pasta salad. The pasta salad was cooked spot on while also being creamy. The bacon added crunch and saltiness to the salad. The rye had a great toast, and the Thousand Island was tangy and creamy. The pastrami was dry but had a good salty flavor. The sauerkraut was crunchy and had a good sour flavor cutting through the salty meat and the sweet dressing. The cheese was gooey and nutty and added flavor to each bite. I sampled the French dip sandwich and Mulligatawny soup. This was prepared with a sliced top round with provolone on a French roll. The soup was prepared with rice, chicken, carrots, onions, celery, lentils and spices. The chicken was very tender, the rice was cooked well, and the vegetables added texture to the rice. The soup was flavorful, had a wonderful aroma, and had a good salt content. The top round was thin and offered good flavor and chew. The roll was fresh and had a good chew paired with the ooey and gooey cheese with an excellent buttery flavor. The au jus had good flavor but was slightly salty, which overpowered it. Farmstand offers grilled cheeses, hot sandwiches, burgers, salads, appetizers, soups and main entrees. They also serve beer and have a full bar. The servers were pleasant and knowledgeable. The Fat Man says that The Farmstand Market & Cafe is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.

I've had two very different experiences with this restaurant -- one solid, one frustrating -- which…read moreaverages out to mediocre at best. My first visit was a takeout order of breakfast tacos that were pretty tasty. Based on that, I was hopeful for a good dine-in experience when I stopped by again recently with my mom for a late breakfast. This is a counter-service spot where you order at the register, grab a number, and seat yourself while they bring the food out. We arrived around 10 AM and it was packed. Despite the crowd, the line moved quickly, but that's where the efficiency ended. Most of the open tables were dirty, so we had to clean one ourselves with napkins. Not ideal. Then came the confusion around drinks. We never received cups after ordering -- despite asking three separate times. First, we were told the cups would come out with our food. When they didn't, we asked the food runner, who said he'd check on it but just disappeared into the kitchen. Finally, we had to go back to the counter a third time just to get cups for the fountain machine. That's a lot of back and forth for something basic. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best. I ordered two bacon breakfast tacos and a side of smashed potatoes. The tortillas were so hard they were practically inedible -- I ended up tearing pieces off and eating just the egg, bacon, and cheese filling. The potatoes were bland and also cold, like they'd been sitting out too long. It's disappointing because my first experience was solid. I'm hoping this was just an off day, but for nearly $40, this meal didn't feel worth it. The staff seemed overwhelmed and stretched thin, with just a handful of employees trying to juggle too many tasks during a rush. Cleanliness, service, and food temperature all suffered as a result. For now, this location won't be high on my list to return to. There are better breakfast spots in town that don't come with this much hassle.

The building is beautiful as is the interior. There are lots of little rooms and the tables are pretty tight. It was a bit difficult for wait staff to get around, but the service was still attentive. I'll apologize now; my pic is so blurry I hesitate to post it, but I'm going to anyway. The other person having the Pork Tenderloin also enjoyed it. Mark ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown. He said it was loaded with ham and it was salty. He finished every bite, but he did say he wouldn't order it again. One person loved her Cod (she didn't eat the bread) and another said the shrimp and grits were very good. The menu has lots of options. I mentioned we would be happy to come back sometime for dinner. We bought some chocolate cookies (they are by the hostess podium) on the way out. They had a nice chocolate and salt flavor, but should have had more chips.

The service was extremely slow. Drinks arrived promptly but we then had to wait about 20 minutes before the server showed up again to take our food order. It was then another 25 minutes before we got our food. So we were seated for almost an hour before we even started eating. Everything we had was great.
