After not being there since early 2013 I was very disappointed today. The chicken tenders were always large. Now they are less than half the size with a lot of hard breading. My husband literally choked on it and we had to beat on his back. I asked for extra bbq sauce and was told they don't have any extra. The side dishes and appetizers were smaller as well. The prices have gone up more than $3. Very good prices with large portions when they first opened here, unfortunately like most, quality & portions are down & prices are up. The waitress spilled an entire iced tea in my lap to the point I got ice in my shoes. I go home, change, and come back to have dinner with my family. The bill comes and the only thing they took off was my iced tea. Need I say more about the poor customer service? read more

We went to cheddars and not only did we have a bad experience with the waitress but then we didn't get half of our stuff and when we did get a half of our stuff it's because of another waitress and then we talked to the manager because she snatched the bill out of my sister in laws hand and then when we got the manager the waiter came up and said we're just making things up not only that disrespectful but that is something that you do behind their back you do not do that to the customers face the girl got sent home but I do not I believe there was nothing else done read more

I can't believe some of the reviews on here. I eat here at least twice a month and have never had a bad meal. The homemade onion rings are just out of this world with the dipping sauces equally as good. My sister is in love with their baked spaghetti and my mom's favorite is their strawberry salad. I don't have just one favorite. I love their fried catfish, their ribs, the broccoli rice casserole, the mashed potatoes and gravy, the mac and cheese, the cole slaw, and their bbq chicken. Yum. I did not know it was possible to receive absolutely s@&tty service with a carry-out order... I was quoted 20 min when I phoned in my I didn't order... I showed up on time and was directed to go to the bar for pick up... the 1st of 3 bartenders asked what she could get me... I stated I was picking up a carry out order and gave her my name as she made drinks for people... 10 minutes later #2 of 3 bartenders asks what he could get for me and I stated "my order" and stated my name again... he said" one sec"... 10 min. Later bartender #3 of 3 asks what he could get me... I said " seriously"... the girl sitting next to me, which I did not know, told the bartender hell I know his name by now and it's Jarrod... by her saying that it totally cooled my temper off and lightened the mood... I am writing a review for my in-laws, who don't get on the Internet. They visited Cheddars a couple days ago. They received their appetizer and then waited for their meal. After an hour, their incompetant waiter brought a bill to the table. My father-in-law told him maybe he should be served his meal first. The waiter looked stunned and ran off. The MANAGER brought their now STONE COLD food immediately. They should have been served fresh food and not something that was sitting there ready to be picked up for an hour. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU HAVE A LARGE PARTY!!!!! First visit on 12/23/2011 was good, food was good, service was good, music too loud to carry on a conversation with your family across the table, but we were in the bar so we accepted it. Spoke to waitress about bringing a party of 12 or 13 on January 1. She informed us that while they did not have seating for all of us to sit together, they would seat 8 of us at a table and the rest of the party would be seated at a table of 4. We arrived on January 1, 2012 to celebrate my birthday and 2 of my granddaughters birthdays. (I had explained to my sons how we would be seated and all was well) Upon arrival, gave hostess name and number in party. She explained that we would be seated 8 and 4.....no problem. After nearly waiting an hour, we were taken to the back of the restaurant to find 2 booths set up to seat all 12 of us!!!!! When I say we are a large group I not only mean number wise, but size wise! Six of the 12 are over 6 feet tall!!! And more than one of us needs to shed a few pounds...... The (very tiny) young man just stood and looked at me when I said the seating arrangement would not work.... and how I had been told by the hostess we would be seated. I wanted to leave but the rest of the party said we had already waited an hour and we would just take it. They did open up another booth for some of our party to sit at. THEN.....each booth had a different waiter!!!!!!! Food orders were misplaced, some came early, some came as everyone else was finished...and they were at the same table, just on separate tickets!! We were charged a "service charge" because we were a large party, guess they forgot that when they treated us as 3 separate tables when it came to service. (My daughter was once a waitress and she said the service charge is the tip but most people do not know this and tip again....good try Cheddars, but you did not get any more from us!!) Tried to complain as we left, but no one wanted to talk to me....... Get your act together, stop being so greedy and simply tell people when they arrive that you only have 2 tables that seat 8 people and everything else is booths, and that you cannot ACCOMMODATE LARGE PARTIES OF MORE THAN 8!!!! We would have gladly left and gone elsewhere rather than wasting our time... read more

Cheddars is a favorite when visiting the Tri- State area. There is ample handicapped parking as well as traditional parking. Their system is organized. You have a waitress who takes and places your order; however, when the order is ready someone else may deliver it. You are assured of a speedy, hot, delicious meal from a menu full of variety. We had lunch today at Cheddars after trying for many months. The wait was about 15 minutes. Our server, Courtney, was excellent. The best service my family has had in years!! And without hovering or being annoying. The servings were huge, much larger than anticipated! Even the kids meals were large! The quest dip and chip was good and comes with free chip refills. The grilled chicken salad with pecans is phenomenal!! We all had children's chicken tenders and a club sandwich, all of which were fantastic! The best ribs in town! Service however, is slowly sinking to the bottom. Wait staff seems inattentive lately, and the wait for food was intolerable this evening. The waitress never came around to the table but once or twice that I can recall, and she was uncharacteristically detached and unfriendly. This place is typically a 5-star in my book, but lately, things are going down hill in the service area. I'll still come back, because I like the food; but probably less frequently. Man, I sure do love it when you go out of your way to eat and you find yourself repeating to the waiter that you want a ribeye steak twice, and they say, "Oh ok, ribeye steak" and come 10 minutes later and they still give you a sirloin. Also thanks a lot for that bag of "fresh" broccoli that you threw on the plate in front of my friends. And man that new blackened red fish am I right? Tough, impossible to chew on, and a perfect lack of seasoning with both this and the steak that you messed up twice. I'm sorry, but when you sell a steak for $15 dollars that has no taste whatsoever, don't blame me when you don't get a tip. Bland, terrible presentation, and a set of dishes that I could get for half the price that tastes better from my local Walmart. Saturday 7/11/15 1:30pm, had to seat ourselves, no wait staff around. Two different groups got escorted and seated in our area and were given menus after we came in. Twenty minutes later the waitress shows up and proceeded to take the the other groups order without giving us menus. Finally she gave us menus and then disappeared for another 10-15 minutes, when she came back she took our drink orders and disappeared again. The other people got their food before we even got our drinks. Waitress finally returned and got our orders. Guess what, the other people left before our food came. Too bad the food was just average it might have been the bright spot of an over all lousy eating experience. This was my first time at Cheddars and it will be the last time I go there. read more

Terrible! Absolutely terrible! If I could give a negative star I would. Everything was cold and terrible - my chicken was undercooked and raw/pink in the middle. Did not get sauce for salmon and when asked it was never brought. Everything was dirty - table, chairs, floor, salt/pepper shakers were greasy. Service was exasperating and rude. Couldn't get any extra napkins or refills. MY SILVERWARE HAD FOOD LEFT ON IT - and MY CUP HAD FOOD AND WAS CLOUDY WITH FINGERPRINTS. Went home terribly sick for 2 days!!!!!! Know people who have gotten food poisoning here! And I'm not the only person that has had trouble with PLASTIC in their food! RUN AWAY! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR HEALTH! I have been there 3 times and enjoyed each experience. This is a casual cafe so I don't want to be too hard on them. Most things on the menu including the dinners are under 10 dollars and I have not been disappointed. I have not tried everything but there is a good variety of dinners and sandwiches. Remember that this is a place that most people can afford so don't expect a gourmet entre. But for what I paid the food was exceptional. I believe they have plate specials, too. I had the mushroom burger that was really great! And the fish ( I forget what kind) withe the grilled shrimp on top with the sides ( you get to choose) was very nice and under $10! Of course, that did not include the drink and tax. I can't leave without saying that the alcoholic drinks are flavorful. I tried the one with coconut, forget the name, but it was good. The place has a bar area and the seating arrangement is enjoyable and quite large for a restaurant of this class. Save me a seat, I will be back. read more

Last visit over a year ago. really poor service and food so so. Went last evening to give them another try. No waiting got right in. Waited for ever finally a server from another area came and took out drink order and assured us or server would be right with us. 20 minutes later no order was taken. Again they were not that busy. I flagged a server down and said if we could get our bill for the drinks I was paying and leaving. She went back to her area and kept looking our way but no bill ever arrived. So wife and I got up and left. This was probably one of the worst experiences in a eating establishment I have ever had. I pasted my dislike all over social media and several others I know weighed in with equal experiences. When the restaurant first opened really good food and service. Lasted about a year. Can't review the food cause never got any. I will never ever go back to this Cheddar's again. read more
