This restaurant is so cute. The tables are a good distance apart so you don't feel on top of anyone else. The service is great. And the food is absolutely delicious every time.

Just went for brunch and the food was incredible. My fiancé and I shared the chicken and waffle sandwich with the bacon jam, the breakfast blt, and the biscuits and gravy. It was a ton of food but we wanted to try everything and it was all so delicious. The lavender cheesecake was light and refreshing. We will definitely be coming back. If you have not tried Copper House yet, you should.

You need to get down to the Copper House ASAP! The building is an old saloon with an updated chic interior. There is copper running throughout, true to the name. I was promptly greeted and chose to sit at the bar. The bartender was quick to ask if I wanted to sample some local beers, which I did, but did not order one. I ordered the fried goat cheese App, and they were rich, but the blackberry sauce added umami and sweetness. Now, the main star was the shrimp and grits. This is hands-down the BEST dish I have eaten while in Evansville. The Tasso ham added salt, and there was a good amount of heat.

Beautiful facility. Great vibe and interior design. Our server, Lorraine, was friendly, efficient, courteous and helpful. Group of 6, she got our orders correct, provided 3 separate checks. The food was excellent. We enjoyed lunch here. Soup and salad were delicious. Copper House Grilled Cheese (3 cheeses, bacon, arugula, and berry jam) was outstanding. Chicken Pesto sandwich was great. The serving ware and glassware were very nice quality. Impressive menu. Great find.

Well this was a nice gem to find in Evansville! We stopped in here after doing some Christmas shopping on Franklin St, our drinks (not pictured) were fantastic - lavender lemon drop and the breakfast old fashioned! We were in the mood for just some bites so stuck with the charcuterie board and goat cheese balls - both were spot on, the mix of goodies on the board pair with the bacon jam and preserves it came with was fabulous. Goat cheese balls were just absolutely wonderful - creamy, rich, crispy - AMAZING

Great service, great food, variety of GF options, nice atmosphere and decor that is open, fantastic drink menu and desserts. The bloody mary mocktail was great, cheesecake was fantastic! Will come back and recommend!

We were so excited to be a part of this week's soft opening! There was a variety of items to choose from on the menu (although the chili dog did throw us off a bit BUT being a MI girl, I'll have to give it a try next time). This menh will change as they solidify what's working well/ folks are interested in. We really went all out in terms of trying the menu -- starting with Fried Herbed Goat Cheese w/Blueberry Jam and Cheeseburger Soup (a nod to when Taxman Brewing used to be here); then for entrees a Chicken & Waffles Sandwich, Apricot Salmon w/Rice, Spicy Fries, and Loaded Cheesy Grits; for dessert we went with the Salted Caramel Brown Sugar Cake (and got two more orders of that to-go along with a charcuterie board)! Overall, the food was tasty and well-seasoned. We agreed that we'd expected the apricot salmon to have more of an apricot compote on top vs glaze (although glaze is the name) as that would have brought more flavor. The spicy fries were awesome but not spicy, more like that nostalgic seasoning you're used to on waffle fries (so good). We could have each eaten 12 fried goat cheese balls and the blueberry jam was a great complement. The Chicken & Waffle Sandwich was tasty (cooked perfectly, maybe a little more maple sauce next time though) and the grits were perfect. The bf kept eating our to-go Salted Caramel Brown Sugar Cake on the car ride home, so that's a good sign (we hear the recipe was the chef's grandmothers). Drinks were good, but I do prefer a more ginger-spicy mule and this was more limey; the Mojito reminded me more of a Caipirinha (still good though), and Zach's Bloody Mary was great IMP but he would have preferred it thicker. Taps, wine list, and traditional cocktails all available. Appreciated the carafe of water at the table! Atmosphere is great with bar-side tables and bar seating as well for 21+. One comment is that we wished there was more room between the 2-top tables in the bar area, as we sort of felt part of the convo next to us. Other areas available for families with window/ viewing areas into kitchen. One of the persons involved with the opening brought us to the back to show us the additional seating - different feel than the front of house area, as this is where brewing equipment used to be, but nice to see how much space they have -- with additional rooms upstairs for parties. Our waitress was awesome but she had several tables + had to be bartender for those tables, which I think is a miss and something the restaurant can easily fix for future. That said, she managed her time well and I hope to have her again! Food-to-table times were as expected for first week open. We'll be back :)

I had the crab cakes, chicken sandwich, and hatch chili grits. All were delicious . I went to spice level 4 on my sandwich. I love spicy foods but 4 was plenty to where I could still taste it. An experienced server would have rejected our appetizer and my plate from the kitchen. Truly the best fried cheese sticks in the area. Level 3 heat, fried to golden, wonderful cheese stretch to the bite. Perfect. But, not tonight. Over cooked, dark brown, greasy, with cheese leaking out. Bitter burnt taste competed with the spice and cheese. Disappointed. Chicken was great as always. Though the spice levels were off tonight. Two of us ordered level 4, the same as on previous visits. This time was very mild. The cheese sticks (lvl3) were WAY spicier. Chicken was not close to previous visits heat levels. And the fries! I just gave up. Should have sent the whole meal back but wanted the chicken and others are the table didn't order the fries so I let it go. Tonight's side of fries was sad to look at under those nice strips. Over cooked, small, dark, broken bits in a pile. Not a single fry over an inch long. Just the dregs of the fry bin scraped from the bottom and dumped on my plate instead of in the trash where they belonged. Service was decent but below past experiences here. Greeted, seated upstairs, waitress stops by to announce she will bring water. Comes back with said water and leaves before taking drink orders or asking if we already knew our appetizer order. Circled back in a bit to take drink orders. When drinks finally made it, we stopped her to order appetizers and entrees. Toward the end of the meal, server did ask if we wanted dessert, nope. Didn't ask if we wanted another drink at anytime. First time we have only had one drink here. Just brought the check. Still plenty of empty tables and a few open bar seats, didn't feel like she was trying to turn the table for next service. Just ticking the boxes: done with food, no dessert, give them the check. Hoping our next visit is closer to earlier experienced than tonight's.

After making plans to meet up with my husband's high school friend, he suggested we come here. According to him, a bunch of his fireman friends hang out there & some of their older beloved teachers, from Evansville Mater Dei, which they hoped to run into. As soon as we sat down my husband & his friend found a friend immediately. They hugged & he sat down at our table, which was close to the front entrance. The tables were very cool! They are hinged to the wall & can be made so they are flat & do not take up space. From what I heard, the tables were custom made by a local artisan business. The fridges that housed the beers were commercial refrigerators you'd find at convenient stores, clear with one solid glass door. They were kind of industrial looking being in a bar, which I found aesthetically pleasing, but also smart. They are fully stocked & then can easily be seen when running low. This also allows customers to see what is & is NOT available. BRILLIANT! Drinks are very inexpensive. Bottles of wine can run you $12-16/bottle. Drinks are about $4! My husband's tab was less than $55 & we were there 5 hours! The bar owner is a good friend of our friend who was with us & he bought our pizzas, which were sausage & cheese. Unfortunately, the pizzas are pre-made by another restaurant & could not customize a non-dairy veggie pizza. So, no vegan options, but there are vegetarian options. The bathrooms are towards the back, a straight shot from the front door & designed with a Sailor Jerry themed murals on the doors. The service was great, the vibe was good, and has a mixed crowd, but mostly fire fighters. College night for a younger crowd is on Saturdays. We will definitely come again! My husband already came a 2nd time on our visit. I did not come along as I am feeling under the weather. We are eager to make this a meeting place with friends while in town.
