Typical chain restaurant decor and feel. Fairly clean and one of the more busy restaurants on this particular road. Great location for people passing through. We stopped on our way back from vacation headed toward Pennsylvania. I ordered the queso and a quesadilla. My parents had bowls of soup and onion rings. The soups came out cold, like realllyyy cold. It was gross. They asked them to bring out warm soups and it took a pretty long time (5-10 minutes). All my food was great though. Service wasn't the quickest or friendliest. I just ate at Cheddar's restaurant today. I have been eating there for about 8 maybe 9 years. Let me tell you the place is going way down hill. I ordered the grilled whitefish, blackened with a double side of broccoli. My wife ordered the shrimp platter. My broccoli was overcooked, mushy and looked old. They brought me another order of broccoli, this time they were green but also overcooked .And the fish was mushy, also overcooked, both times I sent it back. My wife's fries was burned and hard. 8 years ago the food was so good and I didn't have to send anything back. I went to the bathroom and the staff was standing in the hallway and kitchen entrance talking, with a manager standing there with them. I guess I was in their way. We hear laughter and broken dishes. Such a bad atmosphere, the walls and floors are dirty, hate to see the kitchen. I felt so disgusting and hated paying for a bad meal, my food got taken off but still payed over $40. So not worth it. It's a pretty standard fast-casual BUT I love the honey butter croissants. Overall, definitely a step up over Applebee's, RT, and Chilli's. The offers are more diverse and the food itself is better quality. Apparently they are being acquired by Darden (Olive Garden, Longhorn, Bahama Breeze) for $780M so they must be doing something right! Some highlights: 1. Country Fried Chicken: Solid for a chain and one of the few places where you can get this besides Cracker Barrel The chicken itself isn't really super seasoned but that's what the gravy is there for. The thick Texas Toast is a nice pairing. 2. Honey Butter Croissants: Need I say more? 3. Santa Fe spinach dip: Very solid spinach dip with a slightly spicy Southwestern twist. 4. Wisconsin cheese bites: Basically fried cheese curds. Not bad but they don't have that 'squeak' that you look for in cheese curds. 5. Broccoli cheese casserole: Ok, this is one of my guilty-pleasure comfort foods and this is the only place I can get it as an everyday side. Very cheesy and the broccoli is fresh. I get this every time. Tip: You have to ask for the honey butter croissants! Service is generally solid. I would say that this is a 3.5 star and definitely a nicer version of your standard fast-casual. read more

We went at your location in Camden DE on 5/28/2023 for dinner. We ordered Rib eye (medium), and sirloin (well done). We got our meal the 1st one it was well done Rib eye and medium sirloin. We called the server, and she took it and bring back the second one, again well done Rib eye, medium sirloin. We called the server for second time, and finally she called the manager. The third one, we got burned sirloin, which we did not eat it, and we ate the medium well rib eye (still wrong but we were so hungry). We were so dissapointed, since we were celebrating my nephew birthday that day. This was my 2nd time came to cheddar, the 1st one was in 2018 in Aurora, CO. There was a party starting, they decided to play music very loud bye our table, I asked if they were paying for our meals they said NO. I called for the manner. Cheddars is hit or miss these days. For example the last three times I ordered the steak they burned it. A few weeks ago, I ordered that and two other meals and they messed the order up three times. On the third time I refused to go back there and get a fourth order because it was a to go order and I had kids to keep bringing back and fourth. The manager said they would log my name to replace it. Called today to place an order for my family and they took the order and then stated they could not take the order for the complimentary meal, I needed a manager. On my visit, I enjoyed the Blackened Salmon served over a bed or rice, with a side of fresh corn off the cob and broccoli. All of the items were prepared well, served hot, and delicious! I've been to a Cheddars in other states and for a chain they do extraordinarily well. Their food seems to always come out piping hot, service is A+, and I guess "scratch kitchen" is appropriate because it does take more then average waiting time for their food to come out. The meal started out great. I got an order of onion rings for our appetizer and they were awesome. Almost everything else was mediocre, at best. GF and I both ordered the top sirloin steak and ribs combo which came with two sides. I had my steak cooked rare and had the seasoned rice and southern green beans. The steak was ok, it was cooked correctly. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst. The rice wasn't too bad either. The green beans were some kind of pre-cooked trash that had been reheated. They were mushy and tasted terrible. My GF's mashed potatoes were pretty terrible too. I'm pretty sure they were some kind of instant mashed potatoes. GF asked for refill on drink and waitress never came back. I asked for extra napkins and we got two. If I'm spending $50 on a meal you can stop pinching pennies and pony up more than two napkins. read more

My daughter and I had a very good dinner here for under $50, and that's with one appetizer, two entrees, and two desserts. We waited approximately 15 minutes to be seated on a Saturday night. The decor inside is lovely, warm and inviting. We were seated in a comfortable booth near the windows. Our server was friendly and attentive. He even brought extra sauce for our appetizer without having to be asked. He was always ready with a refill on our drinks before we even needed to ask. We had the mozzerella sticks as an appetizer. The sauce was too garlicky for me, but my daughter liked it. She had chicken and waffles for dinner, and I had chicken strips with fries and salad. All of it was consistently good. For dessert, I ordered the key lime mini, and she ordered the chocolate cake sundae. It was crazy huge!!! I ordered the Half Rack Ribs & Chicken Tenders with a loaded baked potato and green beans. I loved the entire meal! The BBQ sauce on the ribs is amazing; The seasoning on the green beans, perfect! I love crispy, flaky, chicken fingers and even my potato was extremely tasty. The service was great. I wish I remembered her name because she did everything she could for us to enjoy our dining experience. I ordered the Spiked Strawberry Lemonade mainly because it had vodka and sliced strawberries in it on the menu....2 of my fav's. Instead it came out to me with cherries. I was a little disappointed especially after I was told there were no strawberries in the building but the server got me a little cup of strawberry puree with little pieces of strawberry in it. Stopped by here after needing to visit Diamond Motor Sports across the street. Service was good. Food was good (I'd compare it to a solid Applebee's or TGI Fridays)... But I'd say the prices are what makes this place worth going to. Only downside to the place is the time. We decided to try Cheddars for the first time this weekend. We went on a Friday night around 7pm, and were told there was a 30 min wait. We could see how fast they were turning tables, and it didn't feel like we waited the full half hour before our booth was ready. We started with queso dip and a small plate of cheese fries. The fries were good, your normal cheese fries. The queso was possibly the best cheese dip I've ever had. The apps came out crazy quick, and we were snacking on them while we looked at the menu. I ordered the key lime chicken and shrimp, which comes with rice. It was good, but wasn't a game changer dish. I'd eat it again, but I feel like there are other things I'd enjoy more. I had the green beans and mac n cheese. The mac was overcooked and mushy, and a bit bland. Very underwhelming. My husband ordered the steak and tenders. He was impressed with the cut of the steak, and it was cooked perfectly. He also had the mac (and found it just okay), as well as the broccoli and cheese casserole, which he said was amazing. I would have loved to try dessert, but we were stuffed. The peach tea was a lovely complement to the meal. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Food was delivered quickly and was hot. Staff was friendly, attentive & personable. Croissants were warm. Caesar salad was big for a side and lettuce was fresh. Food came out hot & delicious. Tenders we crispy & a great portion for kids. First time eating here. We had a good experience. Our server was Dustin who did an excellent job of meeting our needs. The food was good. We ate the croissants and chicken tenders. The tenders were moist and tasty. Someone had the Salmon which was good. The nacho appetizer was good too. We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon and service was still on point. This restaurant is fairly new. Its actually in Camden. I have eaten at Cheddars in different states. I was not disappointed. They have fresh brewed Sweet Tea. I had Chicken Alfredo and buttered Sweet Corn. I was going to get dessert, but I ran out of room. Be forewarned, GENEROUS portions exist so do not be afraid to share portions with another. This advice goes in line with the chicken meals we ordered - be it the Chicken sandwich with Honey Dijon, the chicken cuts with Honey Mustard, and even the HUGE apple Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream - and this could feed two EASILY as it comes with three scoops of ice cream for each order.  Not having ever seen this restaurant, it has been awhile since portions have truly exceeded the plate, this is one.  The Mango and Peach tea is another bonus to a more than generous portioned-meal. The inside is great, a little dark, yet the unusual ceiling fans and comfortable decor stands on its own for this establishment.  The service was fast. courteous, and available.  We figured what was ordered could have been one order and split between two people and not problem whatsoever.  We hit this on a Sunday right before the rush around 12:30 - and sealed a lazy, relaxing Sunday into a return for sure. read more

I returned my meal and didn't get another because I was afraid of how long it would take. We've ate here years ago and loved it.
