Going to make a disclaimer that I was here a few years ago and have not been back since. My experience here is not very pleasant. The food was very bland and tasteless. The ambience was pretty nice and the food was out in an about 20-30 minutes so not terribly long. The problem is how I ended up throwing up a lot after something I ate here irritated my stomach enough. I would recommend looking at recent reviews and if it isn't much better I would stay away. read more

Cheddar's never disappoints. We dine in and take out frequently. Orders are always correct. Food is delicious. Portions are very generous and Cheddar's prices have remained reasonable while everywhere else has hiked the price considerably. We stopped in here for lunch on our way home from Ft. Lauderdale. What a pleasant surprise! I had some reservations based on past reviews but our meal and service were great! My husband had the country fried steak with a loaded baked potato and green beans. It was a nice portion of steak on Texas toast and he cleaned the plate. I had a nice lettuce salad with chicken strips, cheese, tomatoes, carrots and the best part.,,glazed pecans, lots of them too, with a honey mustard dressing that had a nice bite to it. After driving 11 hours, we came here in hopes of a good hot meal to help us finish off our drive to south FL. Our meal started with crusty old and cold croissants. So cold the butter wouldn't even melt. My husband ordered the grilled chicken alfredo. The only sauce in the pasta was on the chicken. So most of his food was just oiled noodles with broccoli. I ordered the 6oz sirloin medium because I'm pregnant and under cooked meat is a total no no. My steak came out and looked like it was seared on each side for a minute, then put on my plate. It wasn't even rare, it was blue. I totally lost my appetite after seeing it. If you're pregnant or want your steak actually cooked, go to another restaurant. So much for comfort food. read more

Bartender Joy and Kitchen manager Tucker were amazing. We came today for a late dinner. I ordered the T-bone steak medium. 30 mins later It came overcooked and my sides were cold. I was offered to keep it and they'd take it off so I said I'll keep it. Then the mgr came and said if I am eating it, I'm paying it sort of thing. So I said then just re make it, if I'm paying full price then why eat a crappy steak? 30 mins later I'm still waiting for my food. The bartender (Joy)kept checking on it but I finally said to cancel it. Then kitchen manager (Tucker)came and was very apologetic (unlike the other manager). He offered the steak free in a to-go box. By now we've been waiting for 1hr all together. Although they do need improvement, I felt these two employees really cared for my experience even if it didn't go as well as expected. read more

Waited about 15 minutes for server to come over and take our order, but not before warning us about the slow kitchen and complaining about being "bombarded with tables." Very refreshing find in a time when restaurants cannot find wait staff! Cheddar's must have it together! Checked in with the Yelp wait list for a party of 2 and was seated in less than 5 minutes after walking in the door. There were others waiting ahead of us. We were led to a booth in the bar area and the wait time was short before Kaylee appeared. Our waitress, was so awesome! Smiling face and very friendly and efficient! We were starving after a long day of travel and ordered the Coconut Shrimp Appetizer. It arrived quickly and was cooked perfectly. The sauce that was served with it was perfect for the coconut shrimp. Orders were placed for the Grilled Chicken Alfredo and the New Orleans Pasta. Neither disappointed us and the take home box was asked for. Serving size was very large and more than enough. Both entrees were cooked to perfection with just a hint of sauce on both dishes but not overpowering. This was a great experience and if we are ever back in the area again we will definitely return. Tonight, Tuesday July 4th 2023 my family had dinner at Cheddar's scratch kitchen. The waitress Ashley was hysterical. Absolutely fantastic personality and awesome service. My husband had the ribs and shrimp combo my younger daughter had the buffalo chicken wraps and I had the pot pie. Everything was delicious .So much food I was unbelievable .We also had The spinach and cheese appetizer which was great. Forewarned with the pot pie you get a side salad which is huge. The drinks were awesome, we had lemonade.. We knew the night was going to start off good when our server actually put down a drinks on the table strong-handed, we are from New York, Long Island to be precise and we figured she must be from the Northeast area. Boy were we wrong lol If you go to this Cheddar's ask for Ashley you won't be disappointed. I wish I took pictures of the food because it was just unbelievable how much there was nobody finished their dinner and trust me we can eat lol. Not a particular fan of chain restaurants of this type, I must say our party was pleasantly surprised by this Cheddar's. We had a brief overnight stay in Brunswick while driving I-95 and stayed at one of the myriad of hotels off Canal. After an 11 hour drive, we wanted an easy, decent, quick meal before ending our day. We chose Cheddar's due to location; it is less than a five minute walk from those hotels. Upon entry, we were cordially greeted by the hostess and promptly seated at our table. "Alexis" was our server, and she was very competent, efficient, and friendly. Our party all opted for burgers and all pronounced them much better than expected, and very, very tasty. Burgers come with fries which were also good. For the money, Chddar's was exactly what we wanted that evening; good food, nice atmosphere, quick service and a reasonable cost. Absolutely terrible branch of this chain. Ice cold food after having to have it made fresh after they never received our order, to then come out ice cold? At a scratch kitchen? Waited over an hour for to go food that we placed 30 minutes before we got there. The manager, Michelle Curella handled the situation in the worst possible way, talking back to my fiancé and I as if we were 3 year old children. (Such a bad idea with already upset customers, DUH‍) Honestly a 3 year old could run the restaurant more efficiently than Michelle. After another 25 minutes we got our food and left. Disclaimer- neither of us even ate the food by the end. My pasta had been reheated so many times it tasted like oily leftovers and mt fiancé was too nice to tell them his was cold as well. Because we had already paid for the 4 then they offered a free cookie for our little one we waited for that as well then they came back and said they weren't giving us the cookie because management didn't approve it. We are in town on business and impressed last night so we revisited tonight, and happy to have the same experience with a different staff. First time eating here with my coworkers. Kind of reminds me of a TGI-Fridays restaurant back home in Hawaii. I ordered a few beers and the 20oz bone-in ribeye for $21 which comes with side dishes. I was so hungry, I forgot to take a picture of my food. My steak was flavorful, but overcooked and chewy. I asked for a medium steak, but got a well-done instead. Overall, good food and service! Our group had the pot pie, potato soup, a chicken sandwich, and a cheeseburger. All but the burger were well enjoyed. The portions were so good that you could definitely split a meal with someone. The burger looked and tasted suspiciously like what you would get at a school cafeteria. It's definitely not a "homemade" menu item. I saved half of it to give to our dog (she liked it) and when we tried to tear it into smaller pieces it was strange. Made me wonder what I really ate. We live in between two locations. I'm so thankful we chose to drive a few extra miles to the Brunswick location. It was very clean, the service was excellent and the food was amazing. The broccoli and cheese casserole was delicious, the chips and queso were good but very "bowling alley food" , but the coconut shrimp and the pain killer sauce was my absolute favorite part of the meal. My husband and I were looking for a sit down restaurant after traveling for the day. Our hotel was in a complex and this was very close so we decided to try it. The place resembled an Olive Garden restaurant. In talking to our waiter he said it's owned by the same company. There's an order screen at each table that allows you to order appetizers and drinks prior to seeing your server. We chose the "call Server"option as we wanted to ask a few questions before ordering. They started dinner with a honey buttered croissant. Deliciously light and warm. I had the chicken tenders with red beans and rice and a cheesy broccoli casserole. There were ALOT of tenders! I ate 2 of them and ended up taking 4 back to our room. They were served with your choice of dip (honey, bbq, blue cheese or ranch). The rice and beans were ok; not much spice but cooked nicely. The broccoli casserole was good-cheesy and tasty. My husband had a 14 oz ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. He said everything was cooked perfectly. Nice seasoning on the steak. Inattentive staff, and mediocre food. My friend and I were craving a steak so we stopped here. I ordered a ribeye, and didn't get a ribeye. Ok, no big deal. My waitress disappeared and we never saw her again for another hour. Ok, cool. We try to pay at the little machine on the table and we keep getting an error message. Shocking, everything seemed to be going so well?! We hit the call attendant button and wait. Wait. Wait. I'm certain that is not connected to anything at this point. Finally the bartender checks on us and goes to get our receipts. Apparently the machine did work, but it paid out both my check and my partners. This making the separate checks request useless. Three beers on tap and they foam up like a champ. You are better off getting a steak or beer somewhere else in Brunswick. Prices are the only reason for the second star. read more

My wife and I went to the local Cheddars (Brunswick, GA) last evening for dinner. We had talked about going there for quite some time. But, we regretted our decision. We got to a table, had a waitress come by, and take a drink order as well as appetizer/starter. My wife ordered potato soup that came out hot but without a spoon. I ordered cheese bites. My wife had to eat the soup with a fork. We didn't get our beverage order for over 20 minutes. I finally got the cheese bits even though I told the waitress I didn't want them anymore. This was about 30 minutes after being seated. When our entrees came to the table they were luke warm. Needless to say we did not eat them. My wife ordered the chicken potpie and it was not even close to hot, and I had ordered the shrimp and ribs. The shrimp was hot and the ribs were luke warm. On July 19, 2024, this was the first time that I had visited this establishment in Brunswick, Ga., and the food, the waiter and the manager were awesome! My waiter was very personable and attentive to my parties' needs. She went the extra mile to ensure that everyone was taken care of and felt comfortable as if we were all were sitting around the dinner table. Although, she had gotten sick in the midst of serving us, the manager stepped right in and ensured that our food and the great hospitality of this organization exceeded everyone's expectation. Her thoughtfulness, attentive attitude and the ambiance of the environment made what could have been an awful experience into one that we all will never forget. When this restaurant first opened in Brunswick it was so busy. We enjoyed going occasionally. Tonight we went again after not being there for about 3 months. Let me just say that when Cheddar's changed ownership it was not for the best. Tonight sitting at the bar we had the unfortunate pleasure of being waited on by Christina H. The bar was empty. The area was a mess. Someone before us spilled a drink. The bar was sticky and the menu was totally wet. The back bar was dirty and messy beyond disgusting. Christina didn't even let us get settled in place and she wanted to know if we were ready to order. She was busy eating ice cream and drinking soda. She definitely had zero personality and pretty much ruined the dining experience. This is not the first time she has waited on us. She was bad the first time but she was worse this time. What a surprise! We'd never eaten at Cheddar's (heard they weren't that good), but friends wanted to go there...had one of the most delicious Chicken Alfredo dishes that I've ever had. The rest of our party was equally pleased with their choices (hamburgers and fish) - the only issue I had was that my meal was warm, but not hot, which is how it should have been served. I love Cheddars and I want to love this one so bad, but I just can't! There's ALWAYS something wrong. Walked in on a Monday afternoon at 4pm, stood at hostess stand at least 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Sat at a dirty table with dirty menus. Took about another 5-10 minutes once we got seated until our server came over and another 10 minutes until we had drinks. Food took forever. Then she brings out everyone's but mine. Family was about 3/4 of the way done with their food by time mine came out. She apologized and said she shouldn't have brought the food out for everyone else since mine wasn't ready. Had she not, everyone's food would have just sat in the window an additional 15 minutes, I guess? Last time, food took over an hour. Previous time, my food came out wrong and my hubby's steak was so over cooked. Bathroom was gross and out of paper towels. I try to be understanding because of the staff shortage, pandemic, etc, but when you're dropping $75-100 to eat with your family and the food takes forever and comes out wrong, it's just frustrating! read more

She was very professional, knowledgeable on all menu items and offered to allow us more time. She was sweet and overall the hospitality in this restaurant truly defined "Southern Comfort".
