Absolutely terrible experience !!! We've been on the road for 15 hours and just wanted to stop for a meal. We got sat host was not very welcoming not sure if it was just her personality or what but seemed to have an attitude. We ordered our drinks with server and host brought them out to us. Host also took our order but 5 minutes later the server comes to take our order again, mind you not a single other person in this restaurant dinning. Got our food what felt like 20 years later. A few customers start to walk in we were able to finish our whole meal, stack all dishes and continue to wait. We wanted to order dessert but server just brought checks over. We told server we wanted to order dessert he came back about 10 minutes later to get the order. Finally got the dessert 20 minutes later (we asked to-go). They also charged us for cheese on all of our burger when not one of asked. Absolut ridiculous experience. read more

Had a great breakfast here. We stay at the state park campground nearby and have been meaning to stop in. We are pleased we did. The food tasted great and was served hot. I went to this Dennys @ 7/7/2025 and I will say the staff is amazing to the cashier from the server. Pretty amazing ladies. Our server was Farron A, she was super sweet she knew the menu by heart and the order came out great. The food was great, not burn or missing anything on the plate. Service was snail paced. No one attended to us for over 5 minutes upon arriving. Only 2 other tables in the restaurant, over 7 employees on the clock. The drinks weren't served until 20 minutes later. Excuse after excuse, after excuse. The restaurant is under lit and lonely. But why were we asked $68 for service we didn't receive? My food came out 49 minutes after I was seated. The food was lukewarm. I never received a drink refill of water. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for syrup and a total of 20 minutes for lemon to add to the water. I'm actually from this area. I attended Glynn County Elementary. I spent my summers at St. Simons. This is not the Brunswick area I know. Denny's is being grossly misrepresented by employees picking favorites of customers. The original server refused to serve us and left us sitting there stating she's going on break. We were seated beside the kitchen so there is nothing to excuse or minimize this abhorrence. Other tables that later arrived received service drinks and food within 10 minutes and less. Why the negligence? Maybe corporate can check the cameras and watch how poorly customers are treated here. My husband went to the front to pay and tell the woman at the counter how much they missed the mark of excellence, and she replied aww, I'm sorry, and walked off. We were charged for a fresh fruit side as well, in which the owner comped and still made us. $3 does not supplant $68. Making excuses to give a free pass to bad employees you hired does not create exceptions. I'm not really sure how this experience could have been any worse. Worst ever. Nasty and cold. She brought out the meal staggered instead of all at once It took forever for the meals to come out and it was cold when we received it. The food was below sub-par it was NASTY. When we mentioned this to the waitress she threw the cook under the bus and said I used to cook and I would never serve a meal like that, after she was the server that brought it out. I went with 10 other people after church. As expected, it was crowded and noisy. However, we did get seated within 10 minutes, so kudos there. Church people, especially a table full of seniors, are slow to decide their selections. About half of our party changed their minds after they found the senior specials. The waitress was unflustered by the slow progress, and kept everyone's water glasses topped up. Hats off to the waitress! I was becoming embarrassed as 30 minutes ticked by before everyone settled their choices. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and a regular Coca Cola. Items began arriving within 5 minutes. Thanks was given, and people were making contented noises. I, on the other hand, was puzzling out why what was supposed to be a fluffy omelet had all the unappetizing characteristics of ham cubes that were blackened on one side, cheese that had been pressed out of the eggs, and eggs that had a mosaic of yellows and browns after a spatula pressed them until every egg-like flavor was gone. The hash browns were dry little cubelets. They were brown, though. I couldn't stomach more than 3 bites of my meal. 2 stars, but only because of the waitress. read more

THE WIFE GOT SICK----Now back At The camp Ground drinking Hot tea. We were 4 people on a Tuesday morning with maybe 5 tables in use. The First round of breakfast was brought to us COLD. Not just one of us but all 4 had cold food. We sent it all back. They made a new plates for all of us, but not much better ...ok a little hot. We were all so hungry that instead of out the door... we ate the breakfast......MISTAKE----took only 1/2 hour for wife to get sick. Getting back to the camp ground the day was ruined as the wife alternated between the bathroom and couch with tea in hand...SHE WAS SICK ON DENNY'S FOOD. I guess if it's not hot enough the salmonella in the eggs and other germs are not killed. The waitress told us 3 of the staff did not show up for work....she had her hands full ..and was not at her smiling best. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE.....and if your smart you will look for another. NOTE.... for 30 years i was a professional earning my living in restaurant sanitation. 7PM UPDATE----just found out the other couple who was with us ( from Florida) both got sick. Solid breakfast at a good price. I always order the breakfast skillets with two whole eggs instead of just whites. It comes with veggies over spuds. My only complaint is that I wish they would use fresh broccoli instead of frozen. Other than that it's pretty good and lighter on the calories than most breakfast dishes. This is my second time at this location. The service is always prompt and the servers are courteous. The restaurant is clean and so are their restrooms. That's always a plus. I just wish their coffee was a little stronger. Lol read more

While the waitress was nice, we arrived at 9:06 AM and just now leaving at 10:25 AM. Tried to just have a quick breakfast before the beach. It was not busy. I ordered my 1-year-old a sliced banana and scrambled egg. The banana was brought out with the food 50 minutes later, after he became fussy. Please consider a small children. Also, the waitress approached us, got our drink orders, brought drinks and took our order, she came back 15 minutes later and tried to take our order again...we knew then that it was going to be a bad experience. The greatest thing about this Danny's is that it's really spacious inside with plenty of parking space outside as well. It's not a busy location but is probably the best fast food place along the highway that you can find within a 20 miles radius when all the other Danny's and the like are packed with people. We ordered pancakes, nachos and skillet meals, which are all delicious beyond our expectations. The portions are huge. Our group of four shared a full size appetizer of zesty nachos and barely finished it! On top of the food, the service and environment are great, too. Next to the Sleep Inn or rather attached to the Sleep Inn was a Denny's that was open of course 24 hours a day. Along with our inexpensive room came a free breakfast. You would think they might limit it to to the room but no we had three so we got 3 free breakfast vouchers along with a very nice economical room. We got up fairly early and had a nice leisurely enjoyable breakfast before we hit the road again. When you're on road trips these little things like a free breakfast are a nice thank you for staying at a hotel and gives you an additional reason to want to use that hotel again. Dennys is Dennys. Breakfast is always good. Two of us got the eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. My eggs were cooked over easy and came out perfectly and I had a choice of breads so I could have whole wheat bread. We also got coffee and a large glass of orange juice which I thought was quite remarkable for a free deal. Way to go Dennys, keep on being your unique self. We appreciate you for what you are. I saw the sign on the highway and we were starving, I was not familiar at all with this brand and was not expecting anything! When I read the menu I realized that they were specialized in breakfast, they had a complete page on the menu for pancakes, eggs and many more options. Than on the other pages you had sandwiches options, burger, meat, fish and other stuff like this. The prices seemed really reasonable between 8$ us to 25$ us. I chose the blueberry pancakes that comes with potatoes (rösti), bacon and 2 eggs. My boyfriend took the sirloin steak with 2 sides French fries and zucchinis. Both our plates were delicious, tasty. My pancakes were just amazing: not too big, crispy and full of butter yummy !!! The service was excellent and really quick. Everyone seemed really friendly in the restaurant. It was just Ok. The service was quick since the restaurant wasn't busy, around noon on a Saturday afternoon. The strawberry pancake hush puppies were yummy but super greasy, like squeeze a ton of oil out of them greasy. My pancakes were well done, a few seconds away from burnt, the salted caramel banana cream topping saved them. The egg whites of my over easy eggs were partially undercooked.
