That We came in starved driving straight from ny en route to Palm Island Florida journey with our old rescue and waited too long for service so my husband spoke to manager Brandon - and immediately waitstaff Kissa took our orders - fried fresh shrimp and fries for me with a tasty silver margarita and new Orleans pasta for the old man- then they comped us. Great food , prices, drinks and the exceptional attention to their customers add up to 5 stars- We were overwhelmed by the large portions and quality and the hiccup with service happens - thanks for the special attention Cheddars - we will be back on return trip! read more

Absolutely appalling. Came here today to bring my mother out for her birthday. She is in a wheel chair and I ask for a table to accommodate her needs. The staff were so confused as to how to seat a family of three at a table where a wheel chair can fit. After being seated our drinks run out and the waitress is with a group of coworkers talking openly about how terrible their job is and how one is having to work over. When our waitress returns she says per her own words she " forgot about our drinks while cleaning". All this aside the worst was when a large group came in to sit and we were nearing the end of our meal but yet was politely talked to about moving or leaving to make room for this new group.. as for food mine was severely over salted and the sweet tea was like pancake syrup. read more

This place is gross. It has to be the worst cheddars in the country. The food always tastes like leftovers from the day before. The buffalo chicken wrap used to be ok, buy they changed the sauce. I really want to like this place. Their food looks great, but the taste is mediocre. That's not the turn off though. It's the overall service. This was the first time in 3 years that I had visited because of the same issues. Our waitress was sweet but was all over the place, running everywhere just like all of the others I saw. She was on a double and said they had been slammed all day for two days. The food took a long time to arrive. I don't know if it was because of the kitchen or wait staff. On a good note, the red beans and rice were awesome! This was the same experience I had each of the times I came 3 years ago. We have had dinner at Cheddar's 4 or 5 times over the last four months since we moved to Brunswick GA. and I must say, we have always had very good service and really good food. The Chicken Fried Steak is one of my favorites as is the grilled salmon. My husband likes the fried chicken and also has ordered the Rib eye steak and enjoyed them a few times. The Croissants are a really nice touch as a starter. We are happy with our Cheddars and will definitely be back. read more

Did you blow most of your tax return, but promised the family you'd get them some grub? Previously, the only option was Golden Trough. No longer! On arrival, we were greeted with an open mouthed blank stare from the hostess. After asking us how many in our party, she stared at us for another few seconds, didn't press any buttons, and uttered "it's only my second day". She then said "you know what, I'm just gonna do it" and walked us to a random seat. Weird, but hey, we got sat fairly quick. Our waitress was the shining star of the experience. She was great. The food came out quickly, was hot, and pretty tasty. My burger was odd, with BBQ sauce I didn't ask for. But i didn't ask to change it, so that's on me. Tons of strange happenings though. Someone dropped what sounded like several plates of food, and their servers ran over and just looked at disaster, chuckling and walking away. Our appetizer was delivered by a completely silent server who didn't even confirm we were the right table. When I said thanks, he just looked through me. Real creepy stuff. Also, they have a roaming bus boy who just stares at you and constantly touches his hair and face. He slowly paced the aisles looking at people eating, averting eye contact. Another woman in a visor was running around seeming to direct everything. I was going to make a comment about my burger from earlier, so I asked if the woman in the visor was the manager. My family & I chose to eat at the local Cheddar's for lunch today (06/03/18). The 6 of us were seated rather quickly. Our server & her trainee were helpful and knowledgeable enough. Our food just took for-e-ver to arrive. We didn't complain, but we had a manager check in with us after almost an hour of placing our order. She comped our two orders of croissants (woopdido), but offered little to compensate wasting our time. The manager delivered our food along with the servers, & circled back to see how we were. My New Orleans Pasta arrived a few notches above warm, while my niece had a totally different kids meal than she ordered. No way we were risking sending anything back at that point. We left full, but I was very disappointed with our experience overall. Small portions and incorrect orders along with the time wasted...not worth it for a vacay afternoon. Although we all love our Cheddar's back home, we would likely make another choice for dining next time we're in the area and we'd suggest other traveling families choose another venue also. The service is a bit slow, but the food was either a bit over seasoned or a bit awesome. I enjoyed the chips and beefy queso. Indeed, it was a bit awesome. The Baja chicken was missing the pico de gallo referenced on the menu, and was a bit over seasoned. The salmon salad was just that - a chunk of salmon sitting on top of a bed of lettuce. Hmmmmm. We choose this place while traveling because one of the reviews stated everyone had masks . Also that it was a very clean place. We asked to sit outside seeing that the weather was so nice. The waitress came out soon after we sat down and brought out these amazing croissants. She was very sweet and on top of her tables. We ordered and the food came out soon after. I had some money stolen from me at this restaurant a few weeks back. Did a pickup order, and the cashier that assisted me left herself a tip on my debit card after I filled out the receipt leaving no tip. I had to go through so much to get my money back it was ridiculous. Including speaking with the restaurant manager who was no help. Then speaking with the District manager. Then it still took nearly 2 weeks before the 45% tip the waitress stole from my card was credited back to my account. The district manager was ducking and dodging me. Promised to send a gift card for my inconvenience (never got it). I would not recommend visiting this location AT ALL and I haven't been back since. Horrible experience! read more

Poor service after being seated right away. We sat down and watched countless waitresses walk by and look at us as if they were trying to avoid adding another table to their already dismal workload. When we were able to flag a waitress down and give her our drink order, she informed us that she was not our waitress but she would pass our order on. Roughly 10 minutes go by after our drink order to the individual who was not "our" waitress and no sign of our actual waitress. I walked over to the bar to see if our drinks may have Ben waiting on someone to pick them up and I noticed the bar tender was just talking to 2 waitresses but not working, not near and recently made drinks, nothing. I then decided to go back to my table to see if possibly our waitress showed up to deliver our drinks but no such luck and we still hadn't any idea who our waitress might be. My wife and I decided to leave, our second time doing so at this same restaurant. I do not think we would consider putting ourselves through another huge disappointment again. If you plan on eating here, which I clearly could not possibly recommend, ensure you have eaten recently as I hope you do not starve to death while waiting to be served. Update 10/11/2019 I thought I would try again, this time by cutting most of the service people out of the equation. I'm sad to say that this entire restaurant has the same mindset. They just don't care! I ordered over the phone. When I requested my order, 4 piece buffalo chicken strips from the appetizer menu along with loaded fries Traysa provided the total bill to me and informed me that the order would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant and picked up my order. Upon arriving home I discovered the chicken was not buffaloed and was just plain chicken. Needless to say I was disappointed and unfortunately I was in for the night so I did not call to complain because there was nothing they could have done for me at that time. Luckily for me we have other options around that do not mess orders up on the regular like this restaurant does. I have visited this restaurant 5 times since it opened. The first visit was just after it opened and the service ANG food was great. The following two visits I ended up leaving with my family the first of the two visits and with friends the second after about 20+ minutes waiting for our server to take drink orders both times. Service is a serious issue at this restaurant and you would be better served if you were to hire secret shoppers in to evaluate the staff. Unfortunately this is probably the last visit for me and my family and friends as I now tell everyone of my poor experience at your establishment. My hope is you get better at customer service or you will not survive however if this is like most sinking establishments, you will inevitably blame my poor experience on me. Well... I had high hopes. It's brand new so I expected the service not to be great.. but that's the only thing that was. My food was awful. At this point they definitely need to work on food service times. We moved here from Kentucky where we've had a Cheddar's for many years. It's always been the only chain restaurant we'll frequent. We love the food at this location as much as ever, but the food is always too slow to come out. I've been there 3 times now--doesn't seem to matter what time of day, how busy they are, or what size group we have. It's a shame because I work nearby, and we might go there more often if we didn't have to inhale our food to get back to work on time. It's a lovely location, good food, and nice servers who are prompt with refills and everything else. If only they can get the kitchen to speed things up... They've only been open a few months now so I'm hoping they can get the wrinkles ironed out. read more

A frequent customer to Cheddar's in South Texas, I was delighted to have this location open up while in town for work. While the food is up to par to Cheddar's reputation, the service is still working out it's kinks at this location. We arrived to a ridiculously busy restaurant with approximately an hour wait for a table. Luckily, we found an open booth in the bar area and were able to sit as soon as we had a look at the bar. The food was delicious, but the server felt like she rushed us. The checks and to go boxes were at our table before we were even halfway through our meal. I guess they don't like selling dessert much. Nonetheless, the restaurant just opened and being a huge Cheddar's fan; I will return. read more

Stopped by the restaurant during our road trip. Seeing a familiar named restaurant gave us greater confidence for the expected quality. We've always had a good experience with Cheddar's near our neck of the woods in FL. This one was average. Likes: Kiddie meals were likeable with our kids. My New Orleans pasta was quite good. Dislikes: The advertised Chicken and Waffles was horrible! The white meat fried chicken was dry but we were hungry. The waffles were inedible. No exaggeration, I am willing to bet money that these waffles came from Costco, the premade, prepackaged Belgium waffles. Their texture was more of a cookie, hard! And it was sooo sweet!! And I don't mean that in a good way. It would have made sense to call them a cookie than a waffle. On the flipside, the manager was great to address my opinion on the waffles and allowed us to substitute it with sides that were better. Seriously, these waffles should be removed from the menu!! The server began well enough with her charming demeanor, but there were few parties in the restaurant. We did not see her much again, especially when we were ready to leave. I liked the server, but maybe the tables in her section were on the other side. We just did not see enough of her in our area, even when we looked for her.
