Went to Cheddars tonight got seated right away but from that point there was no service to be had we were totally ignored all the help was to busy gathered around the bar talking after waiting 15 min ask the hostess if we could get waited on she said she would take care of it sat for a while longer still no service all the help completely ignored us from the time we sat down they were not busy so the four of us got up and walked out. Stopped by the restaurant during our road trip. Seeing a familiar named restaurant gave us greater confidence for the expected quality. We've always had a good experience with Cheddar's near our neck of the woods in FL. This one was average. Likes: Kiddie meals were likeable with our kids. My New Orleans pasta was quite good. Dislikes: The advertised Chicken and Waffles was horrible! The white meat fried chicken was dry but we were hungry. The waffles were inedible. No exaggeration, I am willing to bet money that these waffles came from Costco, the premade, prepackaged Belgium waffles. Their texture was more of a cookie, hard! And it was sooo sweet!! And I don't mean that in a good way. It would have made sense to call them a cookie than a waffle. On the flipside, the manager was great to address my opinion on the waffles and allowed us to substitute it with sides that were better. Seriously, these waffles should be removed from the menu!! The server began well enough with her charming demeanor, but there were few parties in the restaurant. We did not see her much again, especially when we were ready to leave. I liked the server, but maybe the tables in her section were on the other side. We just did not see enough of her in our area, even when we looked for her. We sat out on the patio, we were the only people out there, it was a beautiful day. The waitress was very nice, food was decent, asked for the dressing on the side for our salads as they tend to come over dressed. Only complaint which happens often, they run out of croissants, so we didn't get one until we were completely finished with our meals. read more

My hubby and I ate here for the first time. I had the half n half lunch. Baked potato soup and Chicken Caesar salad. My husband got the Country Fried steak dinner. I would dine here about once a week. Always had the steak dinner. The last few weeks the quality of the meat has gone down. Ventured here on a busy Thursday night. The service was quick the wait wasn't long. The food was fantastic. I simply ordered a 14 oz ribeye medium rare potatoes and broccoli which all tasted well together. The appetizer is what really made the meal which can only be described as a mountain of onion rings that were was amazing. This is the third time we have eaten at this Cheddar's and it is the second bad experience and we will not be back again. We arrived at 8:05pm and were seated at 8:25 and finally got drinks at 8:40. The server who brought our drinks told us that he was not our server but he would bring drinks. We had four adults and two little people ages 7 & 6 who were tired when we got there. Our server got our order at 8:55. He brought two wrong teas and didn't get the sautéed mushrooms my son ordered or the fries my grandson ordered. Our Daughter-in-Law ordered soup & salad when she got her soup it was cold and we sent it back. Chicken was cold on her salad. We finally got our food at 9:40 and walked out a little after ten. Our two kids did great but two hours is tough on any little person. The food was pretty good although my son's steak was dried out. Our waiter seemed new so he was doing the best he could with what looks like lack of training. Our salads came out after the meal. My husband was never asked how he wanted his steak which came out overcooked (it was more than well done). He brought the issue's up to the manager who did not do anything to fix it. It looks really nice on the outside, but it's slow motion on the inside. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated when empty tables were clearly available. We ordered drinks and a few appetizers as soon as we sat down. It took 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive and the appetizers took even longer. We completed the appetizers and we had to wait 45+ minutes for the entrees to arrive. I understand long wait times when it's crowded, but the place was half full. Even when places have been crowded I have never waited this long for food. The prices seem fair and the food was decent enough, but it's hard to enjoy a meal after waiting for it to come out over 90 minutes after ordering it. read more

Firstly, we were told our wait would be fifteen to twenty minutes. It was probably double that amount of time, and we were not provided any sort of apology or status updates on the wait time. When we finally were seated, it took forever for our appetizers to come out - and they came out one at a time for each member of our party. We waited over an hour for the meal, at one time the waitress even said that our orders were "out" and then disappeared for an eternity. The manager offered to pay for our food, and then got upset with us when we said we didn't want the food anymore. Terrible customer experience. It's unprofessional to get angry and bitter towards a customer who already had a bad experience. The food we did get was worth the price, though. Likely won't be returning. read more

The food here is on par with what you'd expect from Cheddars. I've been here 5 times and never had great service. I've come in for drinks after work, gift certificates, and dinner with friends. It's the newest game in town so its where everybody wants to go. Always the same less than mediocre service. Always. One other thing I've noticed is that there seems to be very little manager presence on the floor. Speaking of the floor, it's very slippery. Appears as if they use the back of the house mop in the front. Just a matter of time before they have a serious slip & fall case on their hands if they don't clean up. Not a fan. read more

I rarely rate 5 stars but.... First time visit to Cheddar's at a relatively new location. They opened 8 months ago so the place is very clean and new looking. Waitress went over the menu with me and said since it was my first visit she'd bring some bread. What showed up was the fluffiest, softest crescent rolls I've ever had covered in honey butter. OMG! My mom was with me and she'd been there before and previously had the pecan salad and substituted salmon for the chicken and said it was fabulous. I don't understand the previous reviewer who said it wasn't good because she and my sister said it was out of this world good. This time she had a baked potato slathered in butter, cheese and sour cream along with a half Monte Crisco sandwich. They brought her a club sandwich first and when she said she'd ordered the MC they said no problem, let us keep the club and brought here the correct sandwich. I had house salad and half of a Cheddar's club sandwich. It was the best club sandwich I'd ever had. I don't know why but it just was. Then a manager (I assume) came to our table and asked how everything was and gave me complimentary (warm) chocolate chip cookies! I love this place! Will definitely go back! Oh another reviewer said it took 2 hours to get her food? Wth? Who waits 2 hours on food? Sounds exaggerated. Our food came out in normal time. read more

We went when they first opened and always enjoyed the food. Service has been an issue but never a deal breaker. Over the past few months we've gone 5 times and we wont go back. Lack luster service to say the least. Plenty of wait staff around but they ignore you until they're good and ready. The last two times we sat at the bar and Payton is who waited on us, she is great, very nice, always smiles and always on it with what you need. food getting unacceptable after years of being OK. specifically, i dont think the chef tastes the food or tests it in any way; the forks have a blunt tine that when spearing something provides a test; the southern green beans usually are seriously undercooked, fork will not penetrate, chew on fibers that never give up. sent it back several time on different occasions, got steamed broccoli. about half the time this is too raw to enjoy, like a raw carrot, no seasoning that was apparent, not worth eating. pot pie loaded with potatoes now, did not seem to be that way a year ago. ribs used to be excellent, but sunday were tough, not hot. previously one cud eat this with a spoon it was so tender and properly cooked. past sunday i had to carve off every scrap of meat, not very enjoyable. some combos are still good, like the salmon or chicken salad, probably many others, but i dont trust it any more to provide consistently good food and sending stuff back time after time is not good as it upsets everyone who witnesses it.. a sad story tht cheddars could fix without spending an extra cent. get a new chef, test the food with fork and tongue enough to know what you are serving cause right now i dont think you have a clue as to the quality of what comes out of yur kitchen. read more

Chains are hit or miss, and this one is no exception. Last visit was awful service...an hour and 45 minutes for an appetizer and 30 more for entrees? Come on guys. However, when the manager comped our entire meal and gave us a voucher for another free meal, we decided to give it another shot. Tonight was absolutely great. Went on a Sunday afternoon, got seated right away. My son had the full rack of ribs, I had the Country Fried Steak and my wife had the grilled whitefish. Only a couple of things, the fish was over salted, and the service was a little slow. But overall, good prices, and REALLY large portions and food was good. read more
