I recently ordered the Bourbon-glazed Salmon with Seasoned Rice, Broccoli Cheese Casserole, Fries, Honey Butter Croissants, and a Peach Sweet Tea. Oh gosh, it was all so very delicious. Just excellent. Superb service from a professional, courteous, friendly worker. I was also lucky enough to sit directly in front of a large, nice looking fresh water fish tank that housed numerous cool fish. I wish I would have taken a picture for posting here. I particularly noticed a personable and great looking reddish colored Parrotfish. It had a lively personality and looked great. It reminded me of a bright yellow Parrotfish I owned for many years as a teenager. Very nice. But anyways, absolutely delicious food. read more

Bugs in the bread. Manager acted as if we put them in the bread and the honey. Croissants had sat for a while before being served to us with dead sticky bugs on and under them because the paper was saturated. Server took orders from our two grandson and then my husband and ignored me. I had to ask to place my order. When husband took croissants to the manager regarding the bugs the manager asked "What do you want me to do about it?"!! All of the food was disgusting, service was horrible, and the manager was rude and condescending. Server treated me like I was too stupid to use the ziosk - an add on to the table to take up room and force the customers to wait on themselves. When will these restaurants start having customers to go to the kitchen for their orders. We are being instructed to place our orders on a kiosk on the table, then pay on the kiosks and then guve a review. Why go out to eat if you are going to wait on yourself!!! Love Cheddars, probably one of my favorite chains. The mix of cheap prices (most of the entrees are less than 16 bucks), big quantities, homemade style cooking and two sides (which, by the way, are great) makes Cheddar´s a top competitor in the chain restaurant standings. My favorites are probably the Salmon and Black Pepper Shrimp , which comes with an extra side (rice included) and the Ribeye. Also, a tip for those with a big appetite: order the salad (3,79$). Well, when the first thing your server does is apologize for the long wait, you know it's not going to be a perfect meal. Despite that, my wife and I thought the food would still be good. It wasn't. The meatloaf was dry and they just poured some ketchup on top of it to mask the lack of flavor. And the broccoli with cheese was about 10% broccoli. I wish I was exaggerating but I'm serious. The New Orleans pasta had a sauce sitting on top that had obviously been reheated and had been sitting out for a while. Oh and I had to walk up to the bartender and request the garlic bread because our server never came back with it even though she said she would. Last thing, I paid in cash because I didn't want them to have my credit card number and when I got my change, the coins were missing. Obviously an absent minded waitress who either wasn't good at or didn't care about her job. Either way, the customer pays the price. The food here is delish! We stopped here on our way to a campground and Im definitely a fan now! I had the sirloin with two sides (Mac n cheese and buttered off the cob corn). My sister had the ribs and chicken whilst her boyfriend had the chicken pot pie. And lastly, my brother got the cheese steak. I think I finished my food in under 5 minutes.. I loved the corn! And my steak was perfectly cooked and had a really nice strong flavor. We also got our food almost immediately which was great since we were all starving. I would definitely recommend this place! ... While I was writing this review my brother convinced me to try Cheddars Legendary Monster Cookie. It was pretty good but once you've had a pizookie at Bj's Brewhouse nothing compares. read more

Food is delicious! Our waitress, Tiffany, was very friendly and attentive to our table and had very good food suggestions. The spinach dip has plenty of flavor and Tiffany brought us extra chips! The ribs were fall off the bone great with the honey sauce! The chicken pot pie was a tad salty, but delicious! Honestly, the whole experience was great and this is my first time here. My wife and I have tried to eat here 3 times and all 3 times has failed. We usually get seated quickly, and then get our drinks, but that is it. For example, we waited 45 mins for an appetizer when the table in front of us said that they had waited over an hour, we never got the appetizer, so my wife and I paid for the drinks and left. I brought my family here for Valentine's Day and they never disappoint! I have came here for 3 years every Valentine's Day with my husband, because it is my favorite restaurant because they care about the food! The kids loved the burgers they got, but remember to tell them if you don't want a kids burger plain because if you don't, that is what you get (as the menu tells you) and my baby ate some penne pasta and loved it! She also loved the garlic bread. I got the New Orleans pasta which is awesome and my husband got burger that he loved as well! It was a great experience and I loved my server!! A bit surprised at some of the 4-5 stars but "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" I guess! We visited on a Wednesday night and the service was slow despite the restaurant being a quarter full. Server was very friendly but... you got it very slow. Drink order came in shifts with the final margarita arriving :20 minutes after ordered. Salads were generous, pot pies were enjoyed by one of three that were ordered. Contents varied depending on which pie you were served. This was my first time at a Cheddar's, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Upsides: our large party of 9 was seated almost immediately despite it being a Friday night, the chips and salsa appetizer was HUGE, and our server was friendly and not at all fazed by the 4 children with us. Downsides: the food took a really long time to arrive, and I was surprised to find sausage in the side of rice and beans that I ordered with my vegetarian platter entree. Arrived at Cheddars and was excited to try the restaurant for the first time...... REVIEW * DEC 23, 2012 Caesar salad, loaded potato, chicken pecan salad - Sat quickly was the only positive. Arrived at lunchtime, ordered half/half tea, got only sweet tea. Ordered a salad yet had no pears for salad. Ordered a different sald, arrived with no dressing. Ordered fish tacos that appeared to have sat under the heat lamps the entire 45 minutes it took to get the food. Potato was over cooked and hard at each end. Caesar salad was buried in dressing. Overall it was a poor experience and will play a large role in not returning in the future. Probably only a bad day, yet my experience appears consistent with many other comments. read more

My family and I went to Beckley's Cheddar's for Easter Dinner. We were seated within a couple of minutes of arrival. We placed our orders and within a few minutes got our drinks and bread, so far nothing to complain about. We waited about 20 minutes and the server ( who was very nice) came with ONLY part of our order. I was told they mess up in the kitchen and my order wasn't ready but would be in a few minutes. I waited 15-20 minutes and finally my order was brought to the table. While I waited for my order everyone else ate and I sat there thinking ,Why would a server bring anything to the table before ALL the orders were ready. I could understand if it was 5 minutes or less but 15-20 minutes after everyone else got their food! Thats completely UNACCEPTABLE and that day wasn't the ONLY time Cheddar's had done that. My wife and I took a friend out for lunch (our friend only had an hour lunch) and our friend's food didn't come out until we were done eating ours. She had to take her order to go, because she had to be back at work. Both time this happened there wasn't ANY attempt to make up for THEIR mistakes! read more
