Let's start off saying the restaurant was not busy at all for Saturday Lunch. The server did not bring water. It took 10 minutes to get a drink order in. It then took 10 minutes before the server came back to take our food order. It then took 45 minutes for two burgers. The burgers came they were cooked well done, and very dry. There was No seasoning, and they were very bland. The french fries are a frozen product with no seasoning, and they were very bland. read more

Not bad , not great, Cheddar's is the definition of "Okay" and I mean that in a good way. The menu is intentionally basic, things like burgers, sandwiches, salads, seafood and steaks are what the founders envisioned "good food at a good price". In fact, the founders were from Texas and their M.O. is exactly what Cheddar's is, simple, inexpensive. Bravo on accomplishing your strategy, unfortunately it's underwhelming. Despite the good atmosphere and service ( I've also never experienced a wait here), I really cannot be excited by the menu, just the most generic items ever--cheeseburger, philly, chicken fried steak, ribs, Caesar salad, surf and turf, grilled cheese... My rating is sincerely meant to reflect great execution on an underwhelming strategy. Cheddar's is by no means a bad choice, it's a safe place where everyone can find a plate and won't overpay, however, there isn't much pizazz beyond that. read more

I typically love the food at Cheddar's but this visit wasn't a pleasant one. After being told there was a 20 minutes wait (on a Sunday evening), our family of 6 decided that wasn't too bad. 45 minutes later we were finally seated. The other 5 people all get up between 5-5:30 am for work so they weren't happy already. We were seated in the far back room with a couple of very large parties - one of which had 4 very noisy little kids. That did nothing to make us feel better - and as my daughter said - when you're "hangry" nothing will help but food. Our waitress greeted us quickly but then took a long time to take our order. It was 1.5 hours from when we walked into the restaurant until we had our water. The food was good but we really didn't enjoy it as much as usual. We were there for almost 3 hours. When the check came, I did ask if there was a discount for grumpy people who had to wait too long and Aisha laughed and said she was sure there was. A manager did give us a discount - which was very nice. We will be back there but NEVER during a peak time again. Listen, if I am going to dine with blue hairs (aka senior citizens), it's going to be at Cheddar's. We always eat a late lunch or early dinner with the kids, so we are typically dining with an older crowd. But the kids love it, the food is always consistent. The lemon chicken is great, the nachos fantastic and the honey butter croissants are always a crowd pleaser. I wish they had crayons and coloring sheets for the kids but otherwise it's a solid choice for family dining. read more

I absolutely love coming to Cheddar's. The staff is great and the food is delish. I would like to suggest that they invest it something like Toast, or other table side point of sale devices. Toast is a restaurant point of sale and management system that helps restaurants improve operations, increase sales and create a better guest experience table side with secure transactions. This would allow patrons to tap to pay with payment options like Apple Pay, and or Google Pay. This makes for more secure transactions. Passing credit cards allows patrons' credit card numbers to become compromised. Any way, this is a great place to eat! read more

My husband and I wanted to try some place new, so Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen was it. I am glad we did! Good home comfort food. The interior is done in Earth tones, with a tile floor, comfortable booths and tables. The hostess stand is not directly inside the door, which I like. I don't like having to wait in the door, in order to get to the hostess stand. There are seats there, just in case you have to wait, with the good food and service, I'm sure there will be times when you do have to wait to be seated. When we entered the restaurant, I immediately liked it. It felt like home; comfortable, friendly, welcoming, sit and stay a while, visit, relax. You get the picture. The staff was friendly, and service was good. My husband and I enjoyed a late lunch here on our first visit. I had the chicken pot pie. I love chicken pot pie. This was a good chicken pot pie too. It was the right amount, hot, and tasty. No complaints here! My husband had the fish tacos. We easily could have split the fish tacos. I wasn't about to share my chicken pot pie! Granted, it would have been hard to split it, so I had an excuse! Some of their appetizers are: onion rings, spinach dip, chicken tenders, and honey butter croissants. Some of their soups and salads are: grilled chicken pecan salad, crispy chicken tender salad, baked potato soup (which I will be trying!), and broccoli cheese soup.Some of their entrees are: baby back ribs, sirloin steak, and a 14oz ribeye. They also have burgers, and made-from-scratch sides. There are different sections in which to sit, all of which make it a cozier, more intimate restaurant. There is recessed lighting, so it's easy to see the people in your party. One section, had a large slow moving fan type device. The center bar rotates, with fans on it, that gently move the air in that section. It was cool (no pun intended) to watch! There is exposed brick and a large fish tank as well. The interior is nicely done and decorated, all with their customers in mind. There is plenty of free parking in the parking lot. Seven ppl were invited to my friends baby shower. I came 10 min late there, I asked the host about my group, she said no group there with 7 ppl. She checked twice. I sat there waiting for any one to come of the group. Then happily the manager asked me why I am waiting., I told him the host couldn't find my group, then he took me to them. They were at the back for a while waiting for me. I just felt disappointed on the service, how she couldn't find the reservation or figure it out. The waiter was so nice and fast. Phenomenal service, great prices, and tasty food makes it difficult for me to give cheddars anything below 5 stars. Now, the food here is conventional and the dishes aren't unique or anything like that, but it's darn good. I highly recommend the chicken fried chicken -- which is perfectly fried and served with your choice of two sides. For those of you on a diet... you should probably avoid this place altogether. The dinner portion is huge.. you can probably serve two with the amount they give you. It's also nice that they give you the option to order the lunch portion during dinner hours. Another reason for the 4 stars... is the price! We couldn't believe how cheat our meal was, especially for the amount that you get. Great food, great prices, eh staff. Fun environment for families. I LOVEEEE Cheddar's chicken fried chicken dish. Every time I come home, I have to have it. The dish is always phenomenal and consistent. The chicken is always tender and moist, beer batter breading is crisp, and the mashed potatoes and gravy just add to the complete product. The best part, you can go out and get dinner for three under $30. They have chili's prices but I don't feel ill after. My only critique - the management needs to make their employees happier. We attempted to get a table. First we were told the wait was 25 minutes and then it changed to 45 minutes. My wife is handicapped and asked to sit down. She was told to sit in the car and wait with no consideration and empathy. Very short sided and rude beyond normal expectations. We will not come back. We came in to be poorly greeted by a dead-faced hostess with no energy. The fish in the tank has more personality. After getting a table, we had to walk around trash. The floors are so dirty. All the tables around us were left with dirty plates and glassware, because nobody cleaned them. Then service went downhill. 4 out of 5 people ordered this same entree with different sides. We placed an extra order for the special croissant bread. We were told there would be an extra charge. No problem. Only 4 entrees came out and someone got a side of salad as their entree. Our waiter realized he forgot one entree and brought it out later. Then our waiter got busy and disappeared. This was the first time in over 20 years I have left a 0.00 tip. When we first arrived the table was sticky. We didn't complain. It took ten minutes for our server to greet us. Again, things happen no big deal. We placed our order, waited, and our food didn't come. We watched people come in 20 minutes after us get their food. When we asked the waiter he said, "oh yeah, I'll check." He came back ten minutes later saying it would be another 5 minutes. During this time we asked to speak with the manager. Waiter said he would get her. Ten minutes later our food arrived and missing the condiments we had asked for. No apology from our waiter. We have been here over an hour and a half at this point. We asked for boxes and our check. Waiter returns with the check saying the manager is on the phone. We have been coming here for years and won't be back. Had dinner with my grandsons (11yo & 5yo) here again. My 11yo likes steak and Cheddars has a 6 oz sirloin for a very reasonable price. My 5yo only likes chicken tenders and Cheddars doesn't disappoint him. I have always gotten the fried fish, soooo crispy and moist, but tonight I had a steak with a loaded baked potato and steamed broccoli and carrots. I feel as though we completely wasted our money. We have been very cautious since the virus and we wanted to go out for our anniversary dinner. We chose to eat out on the patio so we could have the open air. We don't know what to even say. They were not clean. The tables had dirt on them which means they are not cleaning like the should be.
