202412261650 Forty minute wait. Pleasant, relaxing environment. Soft lighting,, friendly staff, 97 health score. Backed up in the kitchen, though. Beer battered onion rings & artichoke dip are great appetizers. Bathroom needs a little pick me up. Attentive service. Main trays are delicious. Monte Cristo is cooked to a crunchy, golden brown perfection. The Grilled Shrimp Alfredo is perfectly seasoned & delicious. Our waitress, Jocelyn, is fantastic.

Nelle was an amazing server tonight! We came in close to closing time and got us an amazing experience. I've been here numerous times and never had an experience like tonight! She was so personable and helped provide menu suggestions. She kept checking in refilling our drinks. The ambiance of the restaurant was laid back and more chill. Nelle let us know she was new here to the restaurant and we couldn't tell not even slightly. Super accommodating to our preferences. Thank you Nelle!

From the beginning, we got seated didn't have to wait for a minute. Our server was outstanding, I had allergy of MSG and she went above and beyond to make sure they don't use MSG. The environment was awesome. I would come back here 100%. The food was delicious, meatloaf was not dry at all it was great.

Your standard restaurant. Decor was modern with dim lighting, space was clean and they were one of the online full service dine in restaurants open past 10pm in Athens They give you a free honey butter croissant which is served warm and is super delicious. I ordered the steak and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp was delicious not too much coconut and perfectly fried. The steak was okay it wasn't the most flavourful but still tasty and satisfying.

The food: I went with the Fried Chicken Blue Plate. Between the regular and the Nashville Hot, the Nashville was the winner--flavorful and moist without being overwhelming with the spice. Huge shoutout to my server for suggesting the brussel sprouts; that glaze is incredible and they were easily my favorite part of the plate. The mashed sweet potatoes were unique--I'm still debating if I liked them or loved them. The jalapeño cornbread was a bit sweet for my taste but on par with most restaurant cornbread. The mac & cheese wasn't bad, but also didn't do much for me like most restaurant mac & cheese. The cocktail: Do not sleep on Nana's Naissance. I wasn't sure what to expect from the ingredients, but it's like an elevated take on Rumchata. The service: I was seated at the bar and experienced a noticeable delay--a group that arrived well after me almost finished their meal before mine arrived. However, the waitress acknowledged the wait before I even had to mention it and made things right. I really appreciate that kind of proactive service. We're all human, and they handled the situation very professionally.

Friendly professional service, our server was very nice and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we had a nice dining experience. Great food options, with a lowcountry inspiration. The menu is lowcountry focused and the food is executed beautifully. We started with a dozen of the local oysters, they were fresh, sweet and delicious, a solid start. After giving the menu a good perusal, my dinner companion went for the evenings special. The evening special was, shrimp and crab ravioli. This is a generous portion of nicely prepared ravioli's filled with a sweet succulent crab and then whole shrimp in a rich cream sauce. Presented simple and clean, she said it was delicious, and my sampling of it was just that. Pan seared red fish over etufee was my choice, again a very good meal. A nice serving of perfectly cooked Red fish mixed over a generous portion of etufee. Spicy, succulent, full flavored. It was a really solid selection and very good. A couple sides to go with our entrees, the mashed potato and brocolli, both were done well, simple and tasted good as you would expect. The biscuits, oh those biscuits. The biscuits were a great addition. All in all a solid dining experience and well worth the effort, good lowcountry food done well. As well reservations are recommended especially on the weekends. 4 Stars - recommended 01075

While I enjoyed it overall, I feel like there are opportunities to improve the customer experience. I will elaborate. First, the ordering and paying experience is a little awkward and difficult if you're with a group. The process is that the first person orders but doesn't pay. Instead, they step to the side and the next person orders, but also doesn't pay. Then when you get to the last member of your group they can both order and pay. Once everyone has order, you need to each go back to the register to pay. This seems very odd and redundant. I've been to plenty of counter service restaurants with friends but this is the only spot I've come across with this methodology. We had four members in our party and after finally ordering and paying we all commented on how peculiar this was. Second, there seemed to be no specific staff watching the dinning section for the purposes of refilling drinks, removing dishes or whatever else needed to be done. I had to wait quite a long time for my first refill of water. And then when I needed a second refill I finally got fed up of waiting and simply poured it myself. I feel like there are multiple solutions to this issue. The one I would suggest is simply make water, coffee, drinks, self serve. Personally, I am more than happy to get my own drink and not have to worry about waiting on my server. On the plus side, the food was great. I loved the peach French Toast. I also felt like the portions and prices were very reasonable. I'd say it was a positive experience with room for improvement. I'd visit again.
