I stop in for wings at least once a week. Love the philly cheese steak. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean.

That kind of hospitality always elevates a meal. The onion rings were the absolute star. Perfectly crisp and golden on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just right. Easily some of the best I've had and worth ordering every time. The burgers were solid and cooked as ordered, and the buns deserve special mention -- super soft, fresh, and a great complement to the patties without falling apart. The pimento cheese, however, was a bit underwhelming and didn't quite deliver the flavor punch I was expecting. Overall, excellent service, standout onion rings, and good burgers make this a place I'd happily return to.

Outdoor seating on a beautiful day with good service were big pluses…read more But the Italian beef was not an authentic version that I had hoped for. Yes, one may put cheese on the Italian beef, but then it automatically is not "authentic" because it becomes a crossover then. This is not to be a French dip sandwich or a Philly cheesesteak. It's the Chicago Italian beef which is supposed to have four components that must all work together: thin sliced roast beef, the au jus, hard roll/bun, giardiniera. That's it. I thought the sandwich was good, but just not authentic. The beef was a little thicker cut but ample quantity. The giardiniera was plenty hot but scant, so they did promptly bring a side portion for me, the au Jus didn't have the same spice mixture and was more of a French dip than the spicier Italian beef and usually I get mine dunked, so this was just a side dip, but off the flavor of IB. I think the cheese used was Havarti, which is interesting, even though it's not supposed to be there, one would have expected provolone or mozzarella. I also had a couple of onion rings, very heavily breaded, cooked to perfection but tasted like fried chicken more than onion ring. This is not a negative review since the food was good and price/value was also good, it's just that neither item was "authentic" to the original target. I would eat here again in a heartbeat and most definitely order a burger because that is their thing.

Today was mind blowing! We literally asked for the store manager to come out to make him aware. Trey is a rock star!!! He is SO awesome. Six of us dined in. I can't even list everything he did perfect but I'll try in a brief synopsis. He confidently, and warmly greeted us right upon entry. He listened attentively and made recommendations when asked on our LARGE order. He nailed our difficult order in its entirety. Just when you think things couldn't get any better, he magically appears right before our eyes in a beautiful table service that was so appreciated. Did I mention this is NOT a table service restaurant. Not according to Trey, he does it all! He was determined to take our experience to the next level, and not for one moment even having any idea of the fact that I am a highly ranked reviewer with google and an Elite Yelper. Don't know my current number of listed reviews here, somewhere around 200. Trey wins the gold metal for the service our family has received in the last several years. Thank you cook out for a job well done! Thank you for running your Christian based business and showing that in your actions or how you treat your patrons. We would love to see Trey move into management, we're certain he will be a stellar trainer!

Cafe Racer is clearly a breakfast institution in Athens, especially among University of Georgia…read morestudents. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious this place has built a loyal following. The setup is simple: place your order, grab a seat, and enjoy. What made me laugh was that many of the "tables" are surrounded by lawn chairs. It's not what I expected, but somehow it fits the laid-back personality of the place perfectly. There are a few traditional tables available, but the lawn-chair seating adds to the charm. I ordered the "My Pleasure" biscuit, which comes with fried chicken, egg, and cheese. The chicken was flavorful, and the sandwich was very tasty overall. The chicken was a little dry when combined with the biscuit, but not enough to keep me from enjoying it. It was still a satisfying breakfast and easy to see why it's a popular menu item. If you're looking for a quick, casual, and uniquely Athens breakfast experience, Cafe Racer is worth a stop. Good food, reasonable prices, and enough personality to make the meal memorable.

It was good, mostly for the tangy avocado sauce upon it. Second, the tater taco, it was just too much potato and not much else. Ratio was off. Third, and I saved best for last: Pickleback. OMG. YALL. This crazy taco was insanely good. It was "mustard sausage" with a "breakfast sauce" and some dill pickles. When I say it was good... wuh. I'm a foodie, and I was blown away. So tangy, juicy and FULL of flavor. Perfect blend of fatty sausage, mustard, sweet sauce and tangy pickles. I can't say enough about it. They really hit it outta the park. The coffee was good. We will be back, if only for that savage lil taco. Yes, service was polite and efficient. Despite a double line of cars that would make Chik-fil-A jealous. We went to the window and they had old timey style beach chairs. Wife and daughter didn't want to eat there, so back to the Air-B-n-B.
