The setup is simple: place your order, grab a seat, and enjoy. What made me laugh was that many of the "tables" are surrounded by lawn chairs. It's not what I expected, but somehow it fits the laid-back personality of the place perfectly. There are a few traditional tables available, but the lawn-chair seating adds to the charm. I ordered the "My Pleasure" biscuit, which comes with fried chicken, egg, and cheese. The chicken was flavorful, and the sandwich was very tasty overall. The chicken was a little dry when combined with the biscuit, but not enough to keep me from enjoying it. It was still a satisfying breakfast and easy to see why it's a popular menu item. If you're looking for a quick, casual, and uniquely Athens breakfast experience, Cafe Racer is worth a stop. Good food, reasonable prices, and enough personality to make the meal memorable.
