Stopped in on a Sunday morning and it was not crowded so able to grab some tables for our group. The employee greeted us at the counter right away and we were able to place our order and get our drinks to sit and catch up with each other. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time with our large order and since it was quiet it gave us good time to chat. All of the food came out hot and prepared as ordered. The eggs were cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the waffle since it was more savory with the breakfast sandwich. My kids both loved their fries and sandwiches they ordered. Said the fries were cooked great and had LOTS of toppings. The chicken on the sandwich was also tender and juicy! They really also enjoyed their order. We were visiting the area and wishing we had one in our area as I could see this becoming a go to place. read more

Idk why but I was expecting a sit down restaurant. I'd had it saved in my list of places to check out but didn't really read through the reviews before going. I wanted a raw experience, not influenced by others. So I was a bit deflated when we walked in and it was counter-order setup but that's okay. There seemed to be only one person working. She was really nice and helpful but surely busy, which was fine, but as we were leaving the crowd started hitting and I wondered how well she could manage that solo. I could be wrong though, someone may have been in back and I just couldn't see. I ordered the Overhard Egg, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Melted Cheddar, Mayo Waffle with Spiced Tots (nice). Hubby ordered the Super Cluck with Maple Glazed Chicken, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Cheddar, Sriracha Mayo, Sunny-Side Up Egg. Mine was good, his was super yummy, just the right amount of heat and sweetness. Oh! I also gotta mention the REAL Vermont Maple Syrup. That's very much appreciated over corn syrup garbage. Nice touch! We both had regular coffees. I would've liked a decaf option, since I'm a bit intolerant to caffeine but I can drink it. The coffee had good flavor. I think maybe having the creamers in disposable individual ramekins is probably just extra work if not for to-go orders but that's whatever. It's a cool place and I can see why it's popular. The food hits and if I lived closer we'd probably frequent this spot. Worth checking out if you haven't been. read more

SOOO GOOD!! I got the chicken tenders, fries, and the custard. The chicken is SO TENDER and so flavorful, but I wish the custard came in chocolate too. Worth it, just a little expensive... read more

I stopped by this spot in Athens because the chicken and waffle were intriguing! This sandwich did appear daunting at first, but has great flavor! I really enjoyed the coleslaw and the chicken was very crispy! The service was very friendly and accommodating. It can get a little busy, but there is a good amount of seating inside, so should not have any problem unless it is a busy time like Sunday brunch! The ambiance is cool also and sits at a good listen in downtown Athens! I would give the place a try on your next stop! read more

I was not impressed with their late-night service. First of all, there is a Bruxie Bouncer who is super rude and scolds you that there's a 40 minute wait (despite the inside of the restaurant being empty). It's like they don't want the business... They were out of drinks and ranch (which they charged us extra for). The hot honey chicken was nasty and chewy and ended up making me sick. read more

On Broad Street, so I shouldn't have been surprised when there was a homeless person camped out right at their front door. Just me and my daughter (two females) so that was discomforting. I ordered the chicken and waffle and my daughter ordered the chocolate waffle with no whipped cream. When I first got the waffle, I realized it was crispy and I was very excited because it seems like when we get waffles at places, they are typically soft and they shouldn't be if they're fresh and made correctly. A few bites and I realized that it was deep-fried, which was interesting. The inside was a little mushy. I don't know if it was because it was not cooked all the way or if because it absorbed so much oil that the inside was mushy. Regardless, about halfway into the waffle, it became nauseating because of the greasiness. The chicken fingers were excellent. Nice real cuts of white meat, chicken, hand, battered and freshly fried. My daughter had the chocolate waffle and she also could only eat about half because it was so greasy. We probably won't be back unless it's for chicken fingers only. read more

The chicken and waffles here are a must-try! The chicken had a delicious, distinctive seasoning that stood out from other places. The food was hot and clearly freshly made. The waffles had a satisfying crunch and paired perfectly with the Bruxie syrup. We also ordered 'THE ORIGINAL' to go, which was equally tasty. Unfortunately, we were overcharged $2.05 for the to-go order. The screen displayed $11.45, but we were charged $13.50. We only discovered this upon reviewing our email receipt later. Not sure if there is an upcharge for to-go orders read more

This place has been on my list for a while now, and I finally had the time to come here for dinner. When I went, it was empty but it took me a while to choose what I wanted. I ended up ordering loaded fries (love loaded fries with a passion) and the nashville hot chicken sandwich. Price is decent for how filling it is, and didn't take too long for it to come out either. The flavor was there!! The fries were crispy, the chicken was crispy and seasoned amazingly, and the ranch was good (we love a good ranch)! The only downside was that I had originally ordered the waffle sandwich but I guess the cashier didn't hear me correctly, or wasn't being attentive enough because I ordered loaded fries and he had put in "side of fries". I've also heard similar instances with the same cashier, so I would just double check your order before paying. Overall, I would definitely come back here for other menu items and the loaded fries despite the service I got. read more

A pleasant surprise! We stumbled on this place and were really impressed with the quick service and the quality of food. I had the tender bites and my family ordered the original waffle and the lemon berry waffle. The fries were really good, too. Buffalo was spicy but they had ranch so it was good! They had good music playing, also. read more

This is a first for me. The only place I've ever been where I thought "I should have got the chicken". Not due to the hamburger being bad but the chicken is that good. Back in the day we had a place called Tanners that made rotisserie chicken tenders. This place is close. Do yourself a favor and come in for this wonderful meal. read more

Somewhat expensive for a fast-casual restaurant, but otherwise, Bruxie was a pretty good option. The service was friendly and professional and the overall ambiance was pleasant enough. Their chicken was good and overall, it was an overall positive experience. read more

This was surprisingly delicious! I got the nuggets with tots and their lemonade. Everything was great - crispy tots, the sauce (bruxie sauce) that the nuggets were tossed in, the lemonade. Definitely recommend! read more

Stopped in for a late lunch. The guy working the register looked like this was the last place he wanted to be, but the food was excellent. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Waffle Sandwich and a side of "Spiced" Tots which had no spice and were barely warm. The sandwich was excellent - great flavor and the waffle, while not hot, was crisp and buttery. Daughter had the jumbo tenders & waffle fries. Tenders were piping hot, juicy, and full of flavor. Fries were hot and crisp. Scratch-made Ranch dressing was also excellent. This place has an extensive menu and serves breakfast all day - would love to come back and try more. read more

I ordered a egg, cheese, and chicken waffle sandwich with a side a spicy tatter tots. I loved the tatter tots they were hot and delicious. However, my waffle was cold and on the harder side and I didn't love that. Everything else on my waffle was delicious and hot and it compensated for the fact that the waffle was cold. I gave Bruxie a 3 because my waffle was cold and both of my friends waffles were cold as well so we assumed that they premake the waffles. My meal was also $20 which is more on the expensive side for what I got. I also came on a Saturday at around 1:00 and it was really busy but I still managed to get my food in a timely manner which I loved. read more

Just keep walking. They don't have enough help, and it shows. Long wait. Bad waffle batter. Even the water tasted weird. This place needs a deep dive by management or new management. And there was no one in the place, yet the tables were dirty. Not a good look the weekend UGA students show up for the semester. Maybe I'm in a bad mood; I don't know. I suppose it's all easier said than done. I'll give them that. read more

The food was absolutely amazing. You definitely get your money's worth. Like the old saying goes, "Our eyes were bigger than our stomach." We took home some tater tots and 1/4th of my sandwich. We got 2 combos: Holy Sandwiches, Tater Tots and drinks plus 1 Orange Dreamsicle milkshake for about $45. The Strawberry lemonade was the best part. The outside of the waffle had a slight crunch on top along with the crunchiness of the chicken breast that balanced out the bottom layer of waffle that was a little soggy from the sauce and syrup. The bacon helped tame the sweetness from the maple syrup. We went on a Sunday around 11:30am and it was not packed. We parked right in the front of the store b/c we drove the motorcycle. read more

We drive from Gainesville for these! The waffle is delicious and the sandwich has just a little kick.

Bruxie is a go to late night spot! I went here after some time downtown Friday night and it was the perfect meal. Chicken tenders are hard to mess up, but it's even harder to make them stand out. Bruxie makes chicken tenders stand out. The lady who took our order was helpful and told me that the chicken tenders are her favorite from the menu, which I'm glad I went with! Rumor has it that kylie Jenner and Timothy Chalomet recently dined here! I see why! I will defer be returning to this spot! read more

This is much more than a chicken and waffles place! 1. Great service. 2. The Chicken is juicy. The breading is both very crispy and has a great flavor. 3. The waffle is crispy and savory. Not sweet. This makes all their different chicken waffles sandwiches taste delicious! If you like your waffles sandwiches sweet, ask for their maple syrup. Makes it even better! 4. The sweet waffle offerings with Nutella, Creme Brûlée, or lemon cream with an assortment of berries and fruit, a nice dessert offering. 5. They also offer several breakfast sandwiches with those great crispy waffles! read more

Bruxies is a great spot to try. I had the 3-piece chicken with the original seasoning and Bruxies' sauce, and the chicken was very juicy and generously sized. The Bruxies sauce has a sweet, honey mustard-like flavor that made for a great dipping sauce. It feels like an upgraded Chick-fil-A, and I'll definitely be coming back to try their chicken and waffles or other dipping sauces. One meal comes with a small cup of the Bruxies sauce, but additional sauces or different flavors cost $0.50 each. The workers were very nice, and the environment was clean. I went on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn't busy at all. My meal was about $12-$13, and I'd say it's worth it because the chicken pieces are very filling. read more

Bruxie is a gem in Athens. There is quite literally no place like it. Chicken and waffles are a southern staple, and they have some nice twists to their menu items. From the original to the waffle burger, their food items are delicious. The service is great, quick, and kind. The restaurant is the perfect place for a nice casual dinner in a college town. They even have free wifi. You can study their and then treat yourself to a milkshake when you're done! read more

For a professional business, it's rather inappropriate seeing the manager/workers in the back visibly hitting their pen(s), leaving the environment toxic and smelling, while I'm also waiting on my food to be made longer than usual and tasted gross after being handled by said same people read more

Greetings, I would like to say that I recently had a positive interaction at the Athens, Georgia location on Friday, August 18, 2023. While taking a break from my ministry, I was invited to try Bruxie's. I was unsure what to order, but the staff was patient and took time to explain the menu. I really appreciated that.  The chicken was amazingly juicy, fresh, and well seasoned. I also loved the freshly ground honey mustard sauce. The portions were the perfect size. The prices are thoughtful. I also love the artwork. My favorite part of this experience, though, was when I talked to Scott, who shared the history of the company and future projects. The location is in a centralized location and walking distance to the UGA campus. There is also parking nearby. This location is handicap accessible.  The area is safe, and the restaurant is clean. I can confidently say you will have a wonderful experience here. I challenge you to try it and leave your reviews. Don't forget to take pictures! read more

This is Bruxie's first location outside of California and it is incredible!!! I've eaten here 3 times the first 2 days they opened and tried something different each time. Their chocolate waffles are delicious. Their holy chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of sweetness from the maple syrup. Their waffle fries are better than Chick Fil A's. Their Nashville hot chicken sandwich was better than chain Nashville chicken restaurants, with the perfect amount of spice and a hint of lime. Their cookies and cream shake is out of this world. The staff is super friendly and always makes sure everything is tasting ok and if we need anything. The decor is really well done. They hired a local artist to paint the wall with everything from the local Athens community. Overall from the aesthetic to the flavor to the service, everything was on point. read more

Delicious airy crispy waffles, tastey fried chicken definitely an awesome spot that everyone should check out!

This place has Amazing Food and Atmosphere!! Loved the Original! Thank You Sebastian!! Go Dawgs!!

Good service great fries! Nice crunch on everything and a fun place to people watch. The sweet tea was excellent.

Great place for fried chicken. Their ranch is to die for I would buy a gallon if I could.

Very good. Way better than the big chain chicken places. The tots are definitely a must.

We had high hopes for Bruxie! My husband and I went for lunch on a Thursday around noon. There were a few tables seated that had already ordered and none had their food yet. The large menu boards were great except one would flash back and forth between two different menu pages every ten seconds or so, so it was a challenge to read what they offered. There was only one gal working in the front, and we had to wait a bit to order. I ordered the "limited time only" sandwich that was advertised, but the gal said they could not make it. I ordered the chicken tenders, and my husband ordered one of the chicken and waffle options. We waited 25 minutes for our food to arrive. The fries were good, but the chicken tenders were below average. My husband is generally the most adventurous eater with rather low standards, and he wasn't able to eat more than two bites of his chicken and waffle, explaining that it just wasn't good and made his stomach turn. It looked unappetizing, so I didn't try it. All in all, we were really hoping for a great experience, but we did not find it. read more

Bruxie is the hottest new spot in downtown Athens. The waffles are super crispy, yet still fluffy--great taste and texture. Although I didn't have it, the fried chicken looked absolutely amazing. The storefront gets a lot of natural light and has a very modern design with bright colors and Bulldog-themed decor. The cashier was really friendly. They have a lot of seating in not a huge space with high ceilings. read more
