In the chain burger restaurant genre, this gets 5 stars, because it's always clean, the food is always fresh, the staff are consistently pleasant, friendly, and efficient. Food: The burgers are more expensive than other fast food restaurants but they are large and tasty. They offer several toppings which are usually very well done including sautéed onions and sautéed mushrooms. The lettuce and tomato are fresh. The french fries are hot and crispy while you eat their peanuts to keep you occupied. Facility -clean and tables are not crowded together. They are also outside tables for a nice weather dining (although the tables are right beside the lanes of the parking lot) Location : conveniently located along a busy road and in a popular shopping area. Plenty of parking in a large lot for several businesses. Ambiance: casual friendly read more

Five Guys - Interior - Burgers Near Me - Athens, Georgia

I ordered a bacon burger, but they gave me a double burger so instead of a double burger. I asked the person who gave us our food near the pay station and gave me some bacon. I ate a Double Bacon Burger. Their service is great. And the ambience is nice. read more

Door dash order: D Dash driver was fine, Five Guys food order: dog food!! Cold. Soggy. Incorrect. $35 inedible slop read more

We were in the mood for a good burger.... A typical crowd eating and a few people waiting. We ordered to go, Fries were hot, salted well and they over poured them to make the bag nice and greasy. Burgers were not as ordered. Neither had cheese and both were loaded with onions... Of course we did not check before we were way down the road. Lesson to be learned!! read more

Way, way, way, way, way overpriced for a smushed up burger in tinfoil. Fries, however, are excellent and are a meal in themselves.

No complaints. Favorite place for quick burgers and fries. Always plenty of room and not too loud. Everyone is friendly.

I asked for crispy fries they said they don't do that. And the what they did give barely filled the large cup. Last time for me. Need to take a lesson from other 5 guys. read more

Just ate at Five Guys (Epps Bridge). We've always loved their burgers & fries! I've gotta say I'm disappointed. Ordering was fine. While we waited we saw 3 other customers literally filling brown bags with the roasted peanuts (one out of the 3 only filled half the bag). But geezzz, maybe that's why the prices have skyrocketed. It was $29.97 for 2 little hb, 1 regular fry & 2 drinks. Then, the food comes & they were very chintzy with the fries. The order was correct, burgers were fine but $8 for that amount of fries was the reason that's probably our last visit to FG. Next time we'll likely go to a steakhouse. read more

We are lucky in Athens to have a lot of places you can get a good burger. If you want something fast and tasty you need to eat at Five Guys. Fresh burgers with exactly what you want on it. They have the little burgers which is one patty or order a regular burger which is two patties. You get to pick exactly what you want on it. If you get a regular hamburger or cheeseburger with five or six toppings you are looking at a 3-4 inch high burger. The fries are really good. They pile them in your bag. A little order of fries can feed two people. Again if you don't want a restaurant or bar burger this is the best place to go. read more

The hot dogs were fabulous!! The fries were yummy. The cooks were friendly! The place was clean. Great selection of fountain drinks!! Thanks read more

I really want to give you guys a five, however, when I got home my fries, although hot and fresh, were soggy and undercooked in the middle. You charge too much to not get the fries cooked appropriately. My burger was great and the service excellent. read more

We wish you had a larger dining area. The food is really good as long as you eat it there. Cheeseburger with bacon is my fav. My husband loves the dog with everything on it. Really good shakes but the fries is why I come here. read more

Burgers were very good, as usual. Well cooked with a nice fond for added flavor. Fries were abundant and good. One of our favorite places for burgers. read more

Great burgers & the Cajun fries have some zip to them. There's a wide selection of free toppings that you can add to your burgers or hotdogs. They also offer grilled cheese sandwiches for the littles. The peanuts in the shell is a tribute to our Southern roots and the kids love them. The only set back is that it is rather pricey. You do pay for a good quality burger, fresh cut fries, & this isn't a fast food place (even though they do a great job getting the food out quickly). I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quality quick lunch or a date night especially with a group of friends. Just make sure you bring your appetite! read more

Five Guys - Yummy & the burgers are good too! Cheeseburger Onions* Lettuce Pickles Tomatoes - Burgers Near Me - Athens, Georgia

Everyone that works there is so nice!! Food taste so fresh and has such great taste! They are a bit pricey for a burger but it's so worth it! Great burger place for sure. So many condiments make for a great was to individualize your own burger. Their Fries are awesome when you add the vinegar they have available for you to enjoy. They even have free peanuts for you to snack on while you wait for your meal!! Awesome environment to enjoy a meal with friends and family. read more

Must be a change in management. All new employees learning the way. Be aware...Food still cooked to order But missing the customer service. Gotta give them time to get it all together. read more

Everyone at this branch is super nice. Combined with great service across the way at Trader Joe's we had a customer experience almost unheard of in the States (or in Japan for that matter). Don't get the bigger fries. The regular portion was actually too much for my wife and I to share. The burgers are good for what they are but they completely fall apart and make a total mess. I would pay extra for a better quality bun. read more

Have you even went to a burger chain and paid $19.00 for a Bacon Double Cheeseburger, fries and a drink ? Well today I did, let me start by saying the restaurant was very clean, all customers and employees were wearing masks. Social distancing was easy to accomplish lots of space and no inside dining was available. Outside there are a few picnic style tables to sit a I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger which is a nice big double cheeseburger. Cooked right there for fresh ground beef, not PETA friendly. This burger was wonderful everything on it was perfect. I have to say for my first visit the burger was worth coming for, even at the $11 price tag. The burger is sold Ala Cart no fries included. So for $4 more for the smallest order of fries. The fries were fresh cut skin on fries, served hot and perfectly cooked. The little order was a lot of fries see picture. When you cook fries with the skin on lots of places under cook them and they just suck but not here. I can't say it was the best burger I've ever had because it wasn't, but it was a great burger. Good job to the cooking staff there on 10/15/2020 @1pm. read more

This is solely based on the outrageous prices that are being charged. I do not know if individual locations set their own prices or if corporate sets them. This week I ordered a cheeseburger, small fry, and small drink...$22. I do love FiveGuys, but I will not return until prices come way down. read more

Love the burgers, yes I do. And the pile of fries cannot be beat. Peanuts too. All-in-all good custom burger place. Pricey though -- $17 for burger, fries and drink, so I cannot visit them often. read more

Welllllll, all I can can say I was significantly underwhelmed by my 1st visit to Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries, probably due to my buddies absolutely going crazy whenever anyone mentions the place. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, small fires, and a small Coke, then was significantly shocked to see my total over $11.00. Really? 11 bucks and change for a fast food lunch for one? Come on now.... To be fair, the burger was tasty, though not nearly as tasty as the store signage and my buddies had built it up - I was expecting trumpets to sound or a ray of sunshine to bask in when I took my first bite. The selection of toppings for your burger was nice, though these days you can get what you want on a burger pretty much anywhere. It was a good burger, just not the crazy goodness I was expecting. The fries - ahhh the fries. Another disappointment. After hearing my pals and seeing other reviews rabidly slathering praise on the fries, mine were soggy. There were a bunch of them, mind you, but they were still soggy. They did taste like they would have been decent had they not been completely soaked in grease. A small order of fries would easily be enough for two people to share. I should say that though this sounds like a negative review, it's not really, just that Five Guys was so built up to me I'm not sure anything they served could have met those expectations. The burger was good, but The Varsity does this kind of food much better for less money. One thing I forgot to mention - the constant screaming of order numbers by the counter folks got pretty old by the time I finished lunch. Customer #53, you just paid almost $12.00 for a hamburger, fries and a drink, so you must be pretty damn hungry. Why make me listen them yell #53! #53! for minutes at a time? read more

Really good food. A bit greasy but I really didn't mind it. The only issue I have with the place is the price. I got a double burger, fries, and a drink. And it was $17. But other than that. A great place to get fresh burgers in the area. read more

I really like Five Guys, despite not wanting to like Five Guys. I mean, it's a CHAIN and chain restaurants are BAD and GROSS. Five Guys really isn't, though! I've been to the one in downtown Athens once, but the boyfriend and I tend to go to the one on Epps Bridge because parking isn't such a huge freaking ordeal here. I will say that I like Five Guys' burger better than any other burger in Athens. I mean, it ranks up there with my favorite burgers of all time, and it kills my independent-business-loving soul to say this about a chain. The fries are good, the burger is freaking transcendent. It IS a little pricey for what you get, but it's a very nice once-in-awhile treat. Besides, do we really need to eat big greasy burgers all the time? Hell no, we're in the midst of an obesity epidemic! I've yet to eat at a Five Guys anywhere else, so all I can base this review on are the two stores in Athens. I know this chain has spread throughout Alabama and Tennessee like a virus in the last year or so, but I live here and haven't tried a Five Guys anyplace else. My personal favorite is a bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and barbecue sauce. OMGYUM. read more

Yummy fries and just the best burgers at everyday prices. You cannot go wrong at Five Guys..

Not that great of an experience. There was one customer before me. He got his food left. Then I got mine and was leaving. I saw the guy before me come back in with his burger. Thinking nothing of it. Got home opened mine and it was wrong too. Guess I should have double checked mine too before I left. I double checked the receipt to make sure what I had ordered was listed. It was listed. However it was not on my burger. Disappointing. Double check your orders. read more

I don't get it. Not a bad burger. Generous toppings, average meat, cold doughy bun but overall tasty. Fries are terrible. A soggy greasy pile of something that no longer resembles potatoes. Although I got my food quickly, the mound of fries was stuffed into a bag where they steamed themselves into a a consistency of noodles before I could get them out of the bag at my table. A french fry held at one end is not supposed to flop over. $11 for a decent burger, inedible fries and a small drink. I won't be going back unless friends outvote me, in which case I'll skip the fries, thanks. read more

Love Five Guys. As chain joints go, they are one of the better burgers. I've been to many a-one in various cities and this one is definitely among the best. Their burgers are great and they have lots of different toppings to choose from that are all included in the price of the burgers. They've got two different size burgers to choose from which can come with or without bacon and cheese, which determines the price. The fries are fresh and they always give you a generous serving. I would recommend getting the fries cajun style, and this particular location had such great service as to make sure my fries were the right degree of cajun before seasoning the whole thing. Will definitely be coming back to this one! read more

Dude. What a burger. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd be going there more often. Love the online ordering option. And just really appreciate all the things you can add to your burger! It's a great little place. read more

It's a chain, but they still make a really good burger. I usually opt for the little burger with as many ingredients as I can fit on it. The regular fries are awesome and enough to feed two people. Stick with water and a couple can eat under $20. Get the regular burger, your own fries and a drink each and you're pushing $30+. Love the little burger with cheese and onions, pickles, mushrooms, peppers, lettuce, mustard and ketchup. If you are looking for a good burger in a laid back "fast food" style place, this is it. read more

I'm not sure how it gets better than this. Ginormous burgers, one order of fries can feed a small village and all for under $10

Very Funny story about FIVE GUYS!!! I will start off saying the burgers are to die for! I have been going here eversince my sister dropped my 2 young neices off for a long visit two years ago. It turned out to be 3 months but it was a Blessing...they kept saying "hamburger hamburger" and I thought where can I take them for thier 6th birthday (They are twins)?I decided to try Five Guys. I heard yall had the best burgers and town and every one was right. read more

Excellent burgers, and they make an extra effort to ensure your burger is EXACTLY what you ordered. If multiple burgers on your order, each one is numbered by receipt, so you don't have to sit at table and play looksies with the others in your party to get the right one. read more

"Little" Bacon Cheeseburger, high quality. Fries, crunchy on outside. No skimping on condiments, I love that... For all that, 4 stars. Atmosphere, ehhhhh, Junior High School cafeteria? Surely Five Guys could be more fun with 50's/80's pop music, and something other than Zagat's reviews on the walls. The food is not that much different from my old favorite, In N Out, but it just doesn't "Pop, Pop, POP!" as my friend Ruby likes to say. More pop please! Oh, and a dessert option would be nice... Soft serve? Shakes? read more
