I think due to the popularity of the restaurant at lunchtime. They recommend you call in your order first then come pick it up. I ordered a chili cheese slaw dog, it was worth the wait it was delicious. I will be back again when I'm in this area.

I probably should have know they would be cold as she gave me my order less than 5 minutes after I placed it and there was no way those were going to be hot fresh fries. I also had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Dog ($7). The Jerk Sauce was cold as if someone had just taken it out the refrigerator and squirted it on the dog. I threw the entire thing away after one bite. There was three young ladies working the afternoon I went in, and they were way more interested in chatting amongst themselves than they were in paying attention to the three paying customers they had in the restaurant. I mean I know it doesn't take much energy to sell hot dogs, but from the time I went in to the time I left, they spent the biggest majority of the time comparing vacation plans and talking about the cleaning lady that had popped up to view the property. Save yourself $20 and go buy hot dogs from the grocery store and prepare them at home.

The service was ok...just like any other fast food restaurant these days. We really don't expect great service from the front counter workers anymore and Skip's was no different. (I will rave on my reviews when I do get great customer service.) We had a group of seven so we had to eat outside as the biggest table inside only seats four and we didn't want to sit separately. It was a cool evening, but was about the same temperature inside the restaurant. All in all, we will be back one day when we feel like taking a drive.
