We started with the Wisconsin Cheese Bites which were SO good. Basically like normal Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, except bite sized. Probably my favorite thing about the visit! I got the New Orleans Pasta and my husband ordered the Country Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and red beans and rice. My pasta was really good, but the sausage kinda got to me after a few bites. You ever try something and it's fine at first, but the more you eat it, you're like, "ummm, maybe not..."? My husband loved the chicken, but was disappointed to see the red beans and rice had bell peppers and onions in it. I tried them myself and ehh, they weren't the best. Had lunch at Cheddars while in town. Our server was very pleasant. At times, it took a while for her to get items to us, but she had a big party to attend to as well, so we were patient and didn't mind the wait too much. We started the meal with the Spinach Dip (and chips), along with mouth-watering honey butter croissants (YUM!!!). The three stars represent issues with our order. Me and one of my sisters had the Salmon entree, with two veggies. The portions for the veggies seemed to be more fit for a kid's meal than an adult meal. I said as much to the server. She apologized for the meager helping of green beans and provided a decent portion. My other sister had the New Orleans pasta. My father ordered a steak - medium rare. However, the steak he received was very rare! We tried to get him to return it, but he didn't want to cause any problems and decided to just eat the steak as is. Really, the food should be cooked/served as ordered and expected. Aside from these issues, the pasta dish was good, the Salmon was good, and the veggies were tasty as well. While I know this Cheddar's has had its share of issues, we decided to try it again anyway. We met a friend there at 11:30 and the parking lot was almost empty so we were a little hesitant to go in. We decided to try it anyway and are so happy we did!! The hostess was very pleasant and seated us right away. Our server came immediately and took our drink order. His name was Johnny. What a pleasant and upbeat young man. He brought us those sinful croissants and took our order. My husband and I ordered the Dijon Chicken with Mushrooms. It came with 2 sides- we chose green beans and coleslaw. Our friend ordered the same thing. The food came out fairly quickly and it looked delicious. Looks did not disappoint because one bite was enough to know it was just as delicious as it looked. The chicken was on top of a bed of rice so actually it came with 3 sides. The flavor of the chicken was fantastic. It was seasoned PERFECTLY and so flavorful. The green beans were also seasoned perfectly. The coleslaw was just so-so:not horrible but not something I cared to finish either. The entire experience was nothing but enjoyable from beginning to end. What a horrible experience. We stood at the hostess stand forever. When we finally got to a table the waitress didn't even speak to us for ten minutes. The food was less than desirable. Buffalo chicken wraps and the chicken tender platter were over cooked and the sides were cold. A complete let down when we were looking forward to a good meal. read more

One thing you have to know it takes forever to get your food and it be luke warm when you get it. The side dishes are kid size so don't expect a regular bowl. The food sits under a light til waitresses or waiters comes and get them. The ambiance was regular and dark. The host was not professional and the waiter was amazing. My drink was delicious. I had the Malibu margaritas and it was huge. My broccoli and rice was.cold, mashed potatoes Luke warm and steak had been sitting so it was warm not freshly hot. It is right at noon. We had no wait to be seated the staff is very courteous and considerate of my disability. The server although she said she was new she knew the menus and had suggestions. Service is very fast and the food is really good. The flavors are spot on. The tea is good and the atmosphere is nice, not too loud. Not crowded but busy. The food in this restaurant is wonderful. Everything I have tried I have enjoyed immensely. The New Orleans pasta is great. My daughter and I had the lunch menu which is easy on the pocket book and it was great! I have been to this restaurant several times and like many they start very strong. Meaning good customer service, hot food, etc. In my recent visit it never fails that my order is not right and it's missing something out of the bag. I ordered the sirloin and ribs with a loaded potato and a salad. The steak and ribs was over cooked, my potato wasn't cooked long enough, I had a garden salad and not a Cesar salad, and to top it off there was no bread in my bag. I think there has to be a training on what is involved in running a restaurant successfully. Do not visit a restaurant anywhere near closing time. Big mistake! My family was hungry so we decided to go to this spot maybe an hour or so before it closed. We were stayed quickly. However the dining room mind of looked like it had been under attack. Food was on the floor. Staff was vacuuming or sweeping around our table after we received our food. That is a no no to a guest. Who wants to be near that. The food was lifeless. No flavor. This was strange because normally I love the food here. I'm just going to çhalk it up to it almost being closing time. Absolute worst experience. At arrival there was a long wait which was understandable for us having a large party but the hostess was absolutely clueless and rude. She was unable to give a proper wait time. She later told me that everyone in the restaurant needed to order food before we get sat and it would be a "liability" sitting us now. She then added an extra hour to our quoted wait time. She was extremely rude and kept trying to help other guests without answering any questions or helping out my family. The restaurant closes at 11 and we arrived at 8:30ish, we were finally sat down in the empty restaurant at 10:45 and were told we needed to order immediately because their bar and kitchen was closing. They had the tables open the moment we arrived at the restaurant and the server in that section was empty. There was no reason for the wait to be that long without any explanation or help from the hostess and/or manager. The hostess was blonde with short hair and DEFINITELY needs more training on how to host properly. Will not return. Once sat down it took almost an hour for us to receive our food and drinks which is absolutely ridiculous for it being so empty. Wow if everyone has the same experience we did, I'm not sure how they're still open. They didn't have any clean plates for the bread. They were out of Coke, Sprite, sour cream and cake. The steak was full of fat, the baked potatoes were undercooked. My son got the buffalo chicken wraps-they were terrible. He ate 1/2 of one. My husband ordered broccoli as one of his sides but got coleslaw ‍. We ordered the chocolate cake/ice cream dessert, the manager came 20 minutes later to tell us they were out of cake. She said they would refund my card and I should have it in 3-5 days. When we questioned how this could be done (we paid on the table kiosk) - she said she knew which one was mine and could pull it from there. I doubt I will ever see that $7.99. *Update* We will definitely not be back, one member of our party now has food poisoning. The best part about our trip was our waitress, Angelica. On a Saturday night, you expect to have a wait, we were told 45 minutes, but it was more like 30. So that wasn't too bad. Angelica explained the tablet to us since it has been a while since we were there. The host was very short with people at best, it's obvious he's not normally a host. After we ordered, it was over an hour before we had our food and it was lukewarm at best. Our waitress was the only one bartending and working the bar area, so it was hard to catch her, which isn't her fault. It's obvious they are short staffed, but it doesn't seem like it's being run very well. We had two bussers pass our table, look directly at it and did not offer to take a plate that was taking up part of the table. They left it for the waitress to handle. The restaurant needs and good cleaning, everything was dusty. It's a good place to eat, it just needs to be run better. It'll be a while before we go back again. read more
